So, just why do people it's o.k. to call people that are pro breastfeeding etc...Bresaatfeeding Gestapo, Breastfeeding Nazis, Breastfeeding Mafia, Bf Police etc...how would people feel if people started to say FF Nazi to people that are pro Formula feeding, or other such terms....it realllly annoys me....it would never occur to me to call a Formula feeding mum such names...., sigh!
Yes, people that bf often feel passionate about Breastfeeding, but mostly this is, because they are aware of all the surrounding problems, all the myths, etc...I just find it disturbing that people will use such terms so loosely!

after 62 hours of labour and am emergency c/s the staff at the hospital offered to give dd a bottle of formula so i could get some sleep which i readily agreed to although I was pretty out of it anyway. From thereon in dd simply wouldnt breastfeed. I had the bf counsellor (100% success rate)in my room constantly but even she had to give up. We tried to spoon feed dd milk to get her to forget the bottle sucking reflex and try to develop her b/f reflex which apparently is different but it simply didnt work. She was slightly jaundiced and I had to make the decision to bottle feed her pretty quickly.

With ds I tried again to breastfeed but was completely unable to produce enough milk. The consultant told me that if I did intend to breast feed I would need iron tablets 4 times a day whereupon the midwife said it would ruin me. I began to express milk and managed to knock off about 2oz in as many hours which is no good to a 9lb baby
