Tripe? Where do you get it? I love tripe soup, but my Dh hates it. We can only have it when abraod. :)

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 07/03/2006 19:41

My mum craved tripe while pg with me - and was quite liberal with taking me to Macdonalds - and guess what I'm short and fat and allergic to cats...............but I shouldn't be as I was breastfed Grin

Critina - have you tried a butchers? They might know. Tripe is very unpopular here though so you may have difficulty.

Twiglett · 07/03/2006 19:45

I'm not actually that sure I know what tripe is nor what it is used for Blush

stall in \link{http://www.leedsmarket.com/thetripeshop.htm\Leeds market} reckons it increases your libido fourfold...

Lucycat · 07/03/2006 19:50

My grandparents used to get black tripe from the UCP, you boil it then eat it with vinegar - quite the delicacy in the war y'know!

You can't buy black tripe now since the foot and mouth outbreak, according to my butcher!

NotQuiteCockney · 07/03/2006 19:51

I think it looks quite pretty.

(I wouldn't eat it, probably, though, I'm not a fan of offal, generally.)

GDG · 07/03/2006 19:51

Oh my life - tripe?!?!? Yikes!

Lucycat · 07/03/2006 19:51

although that stall in Leeds market looks as though it has black tripe on it!
