please help!!!

I'll try to keep this short!! dd has refusede to bf since this afternoon. it has all gone 'tits up'!!

she is 9 months old. she has recently started biting and has got upset when i pull off. today however i have tried not to pull off quick or react as it has really upset her. as soon as she goes on the b, she bites and then cries. if it is teething then i'd be surprised because she didn't have this problem withthe first 2.

also, will my supply be ok seeing as i have missed 2 feeds? - i will prob leak tonight - sorry, tmi. i really don't want to pump as i have a feelin g that she will wake tonight for a feed. what shall i do if she refuses again - she won't take the bottle anymore either - went off it a month or two ago.

Milkmum, sorry to bring this thread up again if your decision is already made but just in case... My ds3 was prem and I was given a Medela pump to use in hospital. It was one of their best pumps but I found it rubbish. I got dh to go out and buy me an Avent Manual pump as I had used it for ds1 and ds2 and found it much better. I had much more control than I had with the Medela pump. Other people on here have found the Avent pump rubbish and the Medela pump fabulous! It might really be worth your while trying the Avent Isis out to see if it works any better. There are always loads for sale on ebay as well, some hardly used.
Even if it is the end of the road for you, you have done really well. It sounds as if your dd is a really good eater, perhaps she doesn't need so much milk any more? Some babies do self-wean early because they're getting all they need from their food. And you don't need ANY excuse for a cuddle! I still grab ds1 aged 9 for a cuddle every now and then. (And I don't bf him any more either!)
