did your boobs deflate??

I suppose so. Well, I did lose some weight eventually, but that wasn't reallly connected to breastfeeding IMO, just because I went to weightwatchers and lost 10lbs or so. Then got pregnant again and am fatter than ever in my whole life. Ho hum.

SenoraPostrophe · 04/09/2005 11:36

I did - mostly boobs deflating I think.

Kelly1978 · 04/09/2005 11:37

boobs went to pre-pg size again. Put ON weight, as i carried on eating for three after stopped feeding.

NotQuiteCockney · 04/09/2005 11:38

I had more energy, so exercised more. I don't think I lost weight though - I lost my baby weight (and a bit more) from 9 months to 18 months, the first time, and I'm on track to do the same, this time around. No weight loss before 9 months, though.

dinny · 04/09/2005 11:40

have just started WW too, Aloha (the online one). seems v good.

have heard of people losing 10lb when they stopped! was hoping it was true and my excess was merely my bigger boobs

Lost loads of weight when I was breastfeeding, despite eating more. Thinner than I had been pre-pregnancy. Then put it all back on when I stopped!

dinny · 04/09/2005 11:45

No, no, no, this is NOT what I want to hear!!!!!

PennyLess · 04/09/2005 11:46

I didn't lose anything while BF, I think partly cos my boobs were so huge. I lost a little when I stopped but not enough. Took a while.

PennyLess · 04/09/2005 11:48

But, I should add, my three children are 21 months apart each time which means I conceived when the next one up was 12 mths old, so there wasn't much time between stopping BF and getting pg again. If there had been, I might have tried a bit harder to lose some more.
But absolutely, none whatsoever shifted when I was BF but it looked hopeful when I stopped.

hunkermunker · 04/09/2005 11:58

PL - am in exactly the same position now! 17mo DS, 21 weeks pg!

Btw, Dinny's gorgeous and doesn't need to lose weight

dinny · 04/09/2005 12:01

bless you, Hunker. too kind

hunkermunker · 04/09/2005 12:19

Nah, just honest

tortoiseshell · 04/09/2005 12:56

I lost nothing when I was feeding, and did lose a bit after stopping feeding.

Sorry.

Heathcliffscathy · 04/09/2005 13:28

sorry, i didn't....

coppertop · 04/09/2005 13:31

Same as Edam. I lost loads of weight while bf'ing but started putting it back on again when I stopped bf'ing.

QueenOfQuotes · 04/09/2005 13:32

Yes

I lost 4lbs in the 14 months after having DS1 (he was BF until 14 months) and 1 1/2st in the year after I stopped

PeachyClair · 04/09/2005 13:56

Yes, I lost loads whilst PG 9dreaded sickness) then ate like anything when DS's arrived- I guess my body went into nutritional overdrive, trying to feed baby and me too. Gained loads! Lost some when stopped BF, rest is taking longer!
