Caligula said she wants to get this line regulated/taken down/some transparency shed on what they're saying/doing (or words to that effect).

So, who else would like to try similar? Posts containing "Boden, number 4, yawn or feminine itching soothers" need not appear on this thread, please. If you're not interested, go elsewhere

As said before, I cannot help women with breastfeeding on this site until the Milupa campaign ends, but there is so much misunderstanding around about the law, I do want to clarify."

Tiktok won't be able to offer breastfeeding support until the campaign ends because the NCT could stop her being a breastfeeding counsellor if she posts info on a site which advertises formula.

So quit with the comments, ladies - she'll be back, when she can

That's oversimplified - that advertises formula in the way Milupa currently are - ie shadily.

Thanks for clearing that up hunkermunker!!

Could the NCT really do that though? Is this not more like friend to friend advice, rather than breastfeeding counsellor, after all, we are all anonymous in reality here unless we choose to post our real name etc.

As Hunker states, NCT is actively campaigning for the WHO guidelines to be fully implemented in UK law. The Milupa ad currently being carried goes against those guidelines I believe (though is probbaly still within UK law). Tiktok's association with the NCT is too well-known on this site for her to be on the feeding section of a Milupa sponsored site, even if the sponsorship is temporary. MNHQ would have known this when they reappraised their policy.

Does that help answer your question Twig?

For anyone who does want help with breastfeeding unitl Tiktok's return, you can try phoning 0870 444 8708 (NCT Breastfeeding support) - you might even get through to Tiktok herself!
