Love it, love it, love it.

I agree - it's a wonderful book.

I read it recently after reading The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets which you will enjoy if you loved I Capture the Castle. I didn't want either to end.

Completely love it, the ultimate English summer read imo. I thought the film was worth seeing but agree that Topaz wasn't right... but then I can't think of a real actress who would be right for Topaz, she works better in the imagination! I can't wait til my dds read it...

Loved the book, hated the film.

I loved it, although wish I had read it BEFORE seeing the movie as it gave me a mental image of what the characters looked like that I couldn't shake

The film is supposed to be good too!!!

Am reading it now after finding it in my local library last week, my mum has slways said it is one of her favourites. I'm enjoying it and have no idea how it will end.
Has Dodie wrote any other books or is she like her father and its her one and only masterpiece?

Aims80 · 03/02/2011 14:08

This is one of my favourite books, and I loved the film too although obviously it differed to my imagination. I think every girl should read it, sigh.

Aims80 · 03/02/2011 14:09

oh and scruffy, she wrote 101 Dalmations!
