Thought I'd better start the new thread before it was too late. Here we go!

Llareggub- I'd be interested in joining a facebook group. Never set one up but should be fun. When i had my DS the MN post-natal group were on facebook but i wasn't on facebook then. I think they enjoyed it, but had to get used to another set of names to remember lol.

pulapula I was wondering how rubysmom was doing the other day.

llareggub I'm on Facebook & would be happy to join. It's great for sharing photos etc.

I am on facebook too and would join up if some of you set up a group (would offer to do the setting up but have absolutely NO IDEA what to do - sorry).
Having a bit of a quiet sit down - since my little man turned head down he's been periodically trying to head-but his way out of me and I've just spent the past ten mins wincing and 'ouching' whilst trying to do housework. Now I've sat down with my feet up he seems to have given up and has gone back to sleep. Little monkey!
Off out soon once DD2 wakes from her nap - it's the most gorgeous day here (although very windy).

Rightyho, after much pondering and chewing of fingernails, I have set up the group and it was surprisingly hard to do! I couldn't find the "create group" button anywhere!

I'm a bit weird about privacy on facebook, so I've set it up as a secret group for now because I've called it the "mumsnetters due in May 2009" group, and I don't want a link to my mumsnet name, if you see what I mean.

This means that you won't be able to find the group if you search for it and can only join if you are invited to do so. What I propose is that I add a few others as admins so that others can approve members and we do so based on membership of this thread. I'm not suggesting we exclude anyone at all....and if others feel we should make it open y all means say so, it isn't "my group."

Anyway, if you fancy joining, email me on llareggubmn at gmaildotcom with your facebook email address and I'll send an invite via my real name. I'll add my mumsnet name to the group too.

ooh llare I am really impressed! I'm also a bit 'secret squirrel' about all things internet and wouldn't want 'just anyone' knowing who I am. I like the idea of a 'secret, invitation-only group' so will email you and if you approve me as worthy of membership I'd be happy to join in. That means we can see photos and stuff of each other and keep it private I guess doesn't it? You are a star!

Llareggub- I've sent you an email too. I think its good for the group to be private- I don't mind you lot looking at my profile but i don't want my friends to be able to see any discussions about big pants and worse lol.

emmabemma, are you american? if so, from where? I'm from Ohio and have been here nearly 12 years. i do miss my family and looking forward to one of my sis' coming to visit end April. hopefully, my mom will visit after baby is born but she's 75 and has bad knees so not sure. miss her so much. I hope you're able to get out more. on a similar note, i noticed I became more anxious after having children which eventually blew up into panic/anxiety/depression/etc for which i got help last year and have lots of support from GP, MW to avoid PND for this time and to continue getting 'better'. HOpe you find any support you may need locally but meanwhile MNetters are so supportive and helpful .

went to wedding last night and lasted until 12am! was very proud of myself but sitting through long speeches was difficult with my very sore ribs.

am tired now but need to do a few hours work before I start mat leave tomorrow... huraah! if you see me on MN this eve, please kick me out or make sure I've said i'm finished with work.

I've sent you both facebook messages. I think to join a secret group on facebook I think your privacy settings have to allow it. I've as yet failed to invite you both, so have mailed you about it. frazzled, I think it might be your settings and pulapula, I can only work out how to invite friends or people with email addresses, if that makes sense!

We'll only be able to see each other's profiles and things if we add each other as friends. We can only see the photos that we upload to the wall and I may just add a few now to get things going....if I ever manage to invite anyone successfully to view them, that is!

Momino: Hello fellow American! I am from Chicago. I do really miss my family but I have my own now and it is here so this is just as much my home as there. I used to work and have my own car and be so independent! I know it started when I found out I was pregnant. I was looking for work and never got a job as nobody would hire me being pregnant so I never got the chance to work here and make friends. Last summer I started working at a temp. agency which I loved but then found out I was pregnant again so they passed me up for the perm. possition...but anyway lol I should talk to my GP as maybe there is something that can be done. Feels bigger than me some days...Has your 12 years gone fast? I bet you are looking forward to family coming. I only had my dad come once...wish they could come more.

Re big pants:
I have mine from Asda from when I had DD 16 months ago...and yes I do still wear them to bed...they are a little on the worn side but not falling apart!

Phew! I've sent facebook messages to everyone who has emailed me. I'll have a look at adding admins later this evening if that's OK. I've no idea how many there can be so I'll set up the mad kind volunteers so far and go from there.

Llare I just realised that I didn't physically put my e-mail address down, but I did send it from my FB address so you should have it from that.

grumpy Tufty Club I like the idea of a secret handshake, but it's a bit difficult over the internet. Maybe we should just go for the badges.

I like keeping my fb and mn identity as secret as poss. I have visions of women who I've cared for finding me on FB and snooping on me.

The weather has been lovely here. The clocks changing have sort of messed up our routine, can you beleive it's nearly 18.30 and we haven't had dinner yet? I took them to the park and we had an ice cream and stuff. By the time we got back it was so late that I've decided it'll just have to be pizza tonight. No Sunday roast for my dcs

We've been splitting the hour difference so are running half an hour late (new time)/half an hour early (old time). So now its 6.30 its time for bath and then bed will be around 7.30 rather than the usual 7pm (we hope!). Will see what time they wake in the morning- usually around 6.45 but at least we got a lie in this morning (in new time).

By the way I added a short video to the FB group of when DS took his first steps- its very short and he does some comedy falls!

Just building up the energy to take the kids up for their bath!

I should also say that if you want to add me as a friend on FB, I would like that and will accept any requests, but i won't be offended if you don't want to as I understand a lot of people want to keep MN and FB separate- therefore I will wait to be asked rather than do the asking.

OK i've created a f/b account but I can't find how to change the name so I can still be divedaisy - or are we all using our real names there?? Don't really know what Im doing with f/b - all I can see is my profile page thing - and it doens't look very exciting! Howw do you find stuff???!!!

When I was organising my bedroom yesterday and sorting out baby things it suddenly hit me that in about 6-7 weeks time there'll be a wee person looking up at me from there! I suddenly don't feel very organised and ready - but how ready are you anyway?? I have all the basics in and the shops wiill always be open and I have dh and a mum who can go and get me things... chill girl! Anyway I can't wait now to meet him/her - getting very impatient.

Spangle - take things easy! Funny, but dh was asking about how I knew I was in labour last time and was telling him about the plug. But I was induced so don't know what it#s like to go naturally.
