worked really well for me last time as was so weak after ripping and hemorrhage

BoffinMum · 12/01/2009 22:05

OddEyes, it's probably a carry cot.

OddEyes · 12/01/2009 22:05

night all, was meant to mark a pile of books tonight but spent it with you guys getting excited about the wee one - thank you - much preferable

SpringySunshine · 12/01/2009 22:07

Boffin, I love you xx

I also just provided DP with chocolate & made him laugh until he cried - now is an excellent time to ask him

OddEyes · 12/01/2009 22:07

Nutty, I've worried that too. But I keep telling myself that he's wriggly enough to mean that there can't be anything that wrong with him. & the NHS scans are good enough for most people... I think it'll be okay.

Boffin, I'm going to email our nearest postnatal doula (DP seems open to persuasion, so I'm going for it & will deal with the details later ) - what should I say / ask?

babypringle · 12/01/2009 22:24

springy - you will love the 4D scan. At the gender scan the sonographer turned the machine into 4D for a few minutes and it was amazing ... it made me cry! looked like a proper little boy rather than the grainy alien blobs I was used to from 2D scans.

Oooh, I'm really impatient now

babypringle · 12/01/2009 22:28

If my finances were not quite so post-xmas, I'd be booking a full 4D scan. Was lovely to see his face, he seems to have the same nose shape as DS. He was cuddling into the placenta, so hopefully that means he will be a really cuddly little boy like DS

SpringySunshine · 12/01/2009 22:29

I really hope that mine's cuddly. Not massively clingy, but definitely cuddly. Is that too much to ask, do you think?

babypringle · 12/01/2009 22:30

Boys are sooooo much more cuddly than girls. DS is nearly 2.5, and he keeps telling me that he loves me and I'm his best friend.

SpringySunshine · 12/01/2009 22:37

Oh bless I want my gorgeous little ego boost already

I've just realised that I'm becoming really dull already. DP & I were discussing these (yes, back to that site again ) & he likes the space ones. But I said that I'd rather have ones where you can point at the pictures & name them (like the animals, for example) because it's more educational. What am I becoming?!

I can't for the life of me keep up with the rest of you April mums!! I try every now & again to keep up, but if I miss posts for one day, I'm totally lost! Guess there's just tooooo many of us. Wonder if all the other monthly clubs are so chatty! Although this is my 3rd baby, it's my first time on an online antenatal club...but just can't keep up!

We've just had awful vomitting virus at the weekend - think it must be the dreadful Norovirus. I didn't eat anything all Friday or Saturday, so by Sunday I was 9lbs lighter! Just managed to keep from getting dehydrated, tho by the state I was getting on Friday night, I think I was nearly at a dangerous point. But vomitting stopped early Sat morning, and I've gotten better since then. I was worrying about my bump seeming smaller/lower down yesterday, so phoned midwives this morning and they let me come down to get checked out. Guess it's just such empty tummy/bowels (and 9lbs lighter!) that is making me look different, as they thot everything was OK. Was a relief tho to know they weren't worried. Seemed baby never stopped moving all day yesterday (and felt it very keenly too) but guess cause of empty insides! lol

Will be 29 weeks on Wednesday - don't know where time goes!

Hope everyone else is OK, even if I can't keep up with what happens here! xx

It's cute that you have a proper little girly girl

I'm wondering if I could ever make the stickers look good in the nursery, though. I know that it shouldn't be difficult, but I'm awful at anything artistic & I don't know if I'd ever get anything like those pictures, or just a mess of random stickers... Maybe another form of decoration would be better after all
