Well, I hope a lot more of us can manage to have our babies in THIS thread, even if we will probably talk our way through it well before the end of the month!

congrats mcchesers!!!
and congrats excitedfornumber2!!

all well here in camp Elodie. i am on early shift tonight -woo-hoo! which means dp does 2 feeds and i have a sleep and wake up with massive boobs! probably horrible for my supply but i am SAVAGE with tiredness right now.

hope all is well with you ladies and good luck to all imminent births!

Minkus · 10/07/2008 20:43

Have a good rest TJuice. Goodness knows it's needed!

Well my mum is on her way to our place as I speak, as soon as dh and his boys left the house I was straight on the phone to say "mum I need you I can't stop crying"

I've never asked her for help this way before and bless her she said "I'm on my way sweetheart" before I could even finish speaking, I'm so glad she only lives a few miles away. Feel so ridiculous as everything is rosy with ds1, ds2 and dh but I just am sooo blue. Just want to cry and cry

On the plus side my post-birth spd is more manageable, I forgot that I can start taking ibuprofen again now that I'm no longer pregnant and it's fine whilst breastfeeding so have been taking them all day which has helped lots.

Giving good birth vibes to all still waiting for your lovely babies!

x

sweetkitty · 10/07/2008 21:28

I AM trying pigley

AggiePanther · 10/07/2008 21:29

Congrats Disney and exitedfn2!!

Hugs to minkus and min - hope you feel better soon.

Sending dilating vibes to all you ready/overdue ladies

min912 · 10/07/2008 21:40

Congrats Disney, and good for you Minkus for asking for help.. did mean to say that earlier, there's no point suffering alone if people can help. Just need to try and speed things along here... sadly I don't think weepy, needy and hormonal is the sexiest vibe so trying to help things that way seems unlikely
Will be accepting all offers from friends and family from now on though, for sure

MINNIE1 · 10/07/2008 21:41

Disney many congrads on the birth of Samuel. DD1 was the same when she was born, very sicky every feed was doubled.. It gets better.

Minkus,
I was the same way with DD2, i hated DP for some reason. Everything he did would get on my nerves.. But after a while DP had enough and gave me a good talk to. We got back to normal and has been all fine. It was the hardest time i ever had and i hope you come out of it soon. Hormones are horrible things..

Sweetkitty
2.5 hours to have our babies today!! what ya reckon.... 40+1 tommorw and so on.. I am thinking of getting on to DP to assist poor man will run a mile..

Have been running and racing all day, got new tyres and 2 cranky DDs.. Please let me go into labour tonight i want this baby now!!

ButterflyMcQueen · 10/07/2008 21:44

congrats excited and disney cannot wait for full birth stories!

lovely names too!

Minkus YES! I am so like this - i go almost mental with obsessional and insecure love for dp and baby. My friend said to me ' you wont hibernate again will you?' and althugh i hope not i do go terribly insular

i think it has got worse each time - tbh i think it took a week - ten days to stabilise fret not it is just hormones x

JODIEhavingababy · 10/07/2008 21:48

Hi all,

Just popped by to say congrats to all the new mums, Not caught up yet, but just posted some pics on Facebook of Sam.

He's doing very well, but I'm shattered!

Good luck with those of you that are now going overdue Thinking of you all.

Hope everyone's OK?
Jodie

Sleepycat
DP is like that was there for the labour and birth but is self employed too and it will be back to work ASAP, even though there is not alot he can do as he is banned from driving and heights. He still likes to be on site.. O well DDs and i will carry on as normal i am hoping. Its good you have family i dont know what i would do without mine..

min912 · 10/07/2008 22:13

Loving your fb photos jodie (perhaps you could be 'Jodiehadababy' if that's not too dull?!) and yes, impressively huge knackers!!
Also where did you get the 'big brother' t-shirt from?? V cute!

sweetkitty · 10/07/2008 22:42

Minnie - I reckon the 11th is a good day to have a baby what do you think?

sleepycat - what a lovely thing to say thank you, I thought I stand out as I am always on here rabbiting away and updating the list, I am like it in RL as well I don't stop talking neither do the girls, poor DP he will need to be a good listener. I just so want this baby out so I am not in pain anymore and can lift and play with the DDs and take them down the park again, feel like I am not a proper Mummy right now.

Jodie - glad baby Samuel is doing well, will go and cluck over the pics in a bit

I feel really lucky that DP is having this week off then staying off until after the baby is born, I have no family that help so really need him around. DP and I have always been quite insular (spp) it's always just been me and him.

MINNIE1 · 10/07/2008 23:06

Sounds good to me SK would love to go into labour early and be home in the evening. O and for the labour to be easy and not painfull... LOL wishfull thinking.. I am full time telling the girls dont do this and mind mummys baby.. So cant wait to play with my daughters aswell..

libralady · 11/07/2008 00:08

jodie what lovely pictures.

For whomever was asking, I got DS1 an 'I'm special, I'm the Big Brother T-shirt from e-Bay. Only cost £1.99 and really good quality. I'll try and find the link.

libralady · 11/07/2008 00:13

here
Sorry it was £2.95. Pregnancy Brain!!!! Oh, forgot I'm no longer pregnant. This forgetfulness does go doesn't it?

sweetkitty · 11/07/2008 05:57

Just posted on the whinge thread:

Right I am so fed up now, the past twice DP and I have had relations it has kicked off a whole load of contractions, last night they were so painful I was hanging over my ball breathing through them, they were in waves coming every 5 mins lasting a good 45 secs. This went on for about an hour then I went to bed lay down and they stopped, same thing happened on Wednesday when I called the MW out and she checked me over and gave me the sweep. Never had this before, what is going on? DP thinks we should have more sex (he would) but what the point if it only makes me have contractions for a few hours then nothing.

Really as my fav MW is only on call until tomorrow morning which means if I go after that I get 2 strangers I have never met before coming to deliver me (which I suppose is what happens in hospital so shouldn't moan) but the MW is lovely she is a senior MW and I really trust her, she knows my history with the DDs and my fears and what I want to happen in labour.

Sorry bit of a moany self indulgent post there, am looking forward to hearing some more birth annoucements today though.

isaidno · 11/07/2008 07:18

minkus - I always have a grizzly few days about 5 days after the birth, when the hormones drop and the tiredness really kick in. Have a hug, and hopefully it will pass xxx
