Well, I hope a lot more of us can manage to have our babies in THIS thread, even if we will probably talk our way through it well before the end of the month!

Me Ponto ...

Im booked to go in on Tuesday night.

So babys not got long left to come out naturally although im not holding much hope.
Id much rather baby come now rather than have to be evicted.

BIG thank you to the mummys who havent forgotten us on here

I really thought id be a week early, so very frustrated at being 8 days overdue now!

gillythekid · 20/07/2008 09:29

Morning all! Woke up with a start at 6.30am and have been having 'surges' as we say in hypnobirthing since then! Started at 8 mins apart, now 5ish so I think this is it.
Rang on call midwives and will call them back when 3 mins apart. Doing lots of deep breathing and relaxation.
Have my fingers crossed for Ponto, Pigley, EEC et al!!1

Peanut73 · 20/07/2008 09:32

Ooooh, not long now ponto! we will be thinking of you.

Still sending you birthing vibes pigley, but even if LO decides to go down the eviction route at least you have a time frame to work to. Totally understand your frustration. x

Peanut73 · 20/07/2008 09:33

How exciting Gilly!!! Thinking of you.

isaidno · 20/07/2008 09:34

KEEP ON SURGING GILLY XXX

excitedfornumber2 · 20/07/2008 09:35

Oohh how exiting Gilly, lets hope it wont be long for you, Pigley have you tried all the usuals to try and bring on labour, im sure you have, dont have time to go through all the posts, I dont know whether you saw my birth story, i had a plan to get the baby out and it worked for me, could of just been a fluke though!!!.

All the best to the ladies still waiting

Take Care x

Minkus · 20/07/2008 09:37

Hey ladies I'm still lurking too,I've not forsaken you all! Louis is taking up aaaaaaaalllllllll my time at the mo and I have barely enough time to brush my hair let alone post but do try and read whilst feeding etc. So good luck to you all!

Pigley I so thought you would have had your little one by now, strange how things turn out.

Positive birth vibes to you all xxxxx

disneystar · 20/07/2008 09:59

go for it gilly

good morning ladies

ponto im sure you are anxious i was as i had induction but tbh i was more excited to meet samuel and could not wait to cuddle him so it kinda kept me going working with him with the pains

going to cook sunday lunch today and take all boys for a walk to the park going to test out my new quinny buzz

im very hot and waves of dizziness keep hitting me ive had an infection in tummy after birth before i mught ring doctors today to get some antibiotics

Libra1975 · 20/07/2008 10:32

Good Luck Gilly Just rememember to keep breathing, slow in, slow out!

Pigley I thought you would be early as well! Sorry maybe I have jinxed you. Hope something happens before Tuesday - any chance of jumping on your DH for some natural induction?

pigleychez · 20/07/2008 11:37

Go Gilly! looking forward to the birth announcement.

excitedfornumber2- Oh yes, been trying everything in the book!

Minkus and Libra- Its your fault! You jinx me!!

Disney- Enjoy your walk in the park. Cant wait to try my new pram out!

Libra- Been trying that.. DH thinks all this birthdays and christmas's have come at once!

Just braved the NEXT sale.
I get sent a VIP slot where i can order everything form the sale online before it starts in the shops... been hanging on and hanging on waiting for baby to come as we dont know the sex so that i can buy pink/blue stuff. Anyway ended up leaving it too late and everything i wanted in the VIP sale had gone

Went first thing today to the store and have just spent a fortune! Had to buy more netural stuff (think bubba will be in cream/white till its about 1) and bought lots of tops ect for me!
Thankfully i havent put much weight on and have still been wearing some of my normal size 12 tops so didnt really have to worry about what size i will be. More a case of toning up i think.

Anyway enough babbling!

Off for more pineapple, jigsawing and sleeping - NEXT has worn me out!

disneystar · 20/07/2008 11:59

oh pigley i live about a 2 min walk away from a huge next store and next to that a matalan so when my dc go back to school i can have a good look around
my dh always says groans when i say im just going to next
sam has finally gone to sleep after 2 lots of feeds and twice being very sick from his mouth and nose he hates it and seems to panic when it happens so i have got him to sleep in his car seat which helps him a bit
i washed his hair last night and its so thick and black and hangs well over his collar but hes going to go white blonde like my others as he has ginger/blonde eyelashes and eyebrows
anyway dh cutting the grass today as hes of to work tomorrow for the week away
and its like a jungle out there hes trying to be so sweet and helpful but knows im not looking forward to being alone with them all i dont feel ready yet but i guess i have been kinda cocooned by him taking care of dc house and meals shopping its gonna be a shock to me im also going to miss him terribly and feel quite tearfull i know its sounds silly but we really are best friends before anything else we hate being apart.

EEC · 20/07/2008 12:23

Go Gilly Go! Loads of quick labour vibes for you.

Congrats Heffa. Lovely name.

Disney - DD was born with loads of blackish hair, but has ended up a dark blonde. Strange isn't it? Hope your tummy sorts itself out. Have fun with new pram.

Pigley - just the thought of going to the Next sale makes me faint with exhaustion!

Good luck for induction Ponto. Thinking of you. No date yet for me as I am 'only' one week overdue...

Thanks to all who have already had their LOs for staying with us. It does help not to feel abandoned!

Just tried the natural prostaglandin method - first time in about a month I think, so didn't take long!

Now we shall see..... Not that hopeful. I've decided to be completely busy all day today. I have been trying to rest up a bit to conserve energy this last week, but am now so bored that I don't care if I'm exhausted. Maybe a bit of over exertion will do the trick..

isaidno · 20/07/2008 12:47

pigley - I've just been to the next sale (on my own with 3 DC in tow!!) and spent too much money. Have to take a pair of jeans back because the label said size 10 ... tried them on, nearly died that I was so fat ... then noticed that they were a size 6!!

pigleychez · 20/07/2008 13:15

Isaidno-

Bet that was a relief!
I mainly bought tops.. but did buy on pair of linens.

Annoying that i cant really try anything on though as they wont fit yet!!

Come on baby!!

JODIEhadababy · 20/07/2008 13:34

Hi all.

Like Minkus said really, I'm a serial Lurker now as Sam tends to cluster feed at night, so I can read, but find it difficult to write!

Good luck Gilly, hope everything's going well xxx

And good luck to all of you booked in for inducions this week, i promise you, what ever happens, this time next week you won't even remember being pregnant!

radiohelen · 20/07/2008 13:45

Go Gilly...ride those surges mate!

OK so far have tried pineapple and intimate relations.....jumping up and down is not an option with the spd...

walking might work....I could probably get to the ice cream van in the park....now there's a thought! The Grand Prix is on so no sense from OH until it's over. I guess a swim might be in order although the kids are off so it might be busy. I seem to need a lot of space around me at the moment. I get twitchy if people are too close.

I've got a Jalfrezi on the hob waiting to irritate my innards - followed by more pineapple. RL tea on the side and clary sage oil ready to massage into my back in a bit...

Can't bear the thought of actually visiting the next sale but I might be tempted online in a bit....

EEC I want to be busy but what I can categorically say is that I am NOT desperate enough to clean things yet.....dirt don't hurt!

mummy2bsoon · 20/07/2008 13:52

disney- im ok.. jus waiting...

ahhh kinda worried, but hopefully it will be ok! i have to get use to the idea of expressing, as busb will have an op at 3 months...

other than that jus waiting!

EEC · 20/07/2008 13:54

Couldn't agree more radiohelen - cleanliness definitely over rated ( although have just changed my sheets in order to tempt fate and get those waters breaking tonight!)

ponto · 20/07/2008 14:22

Just popping in to say I'm off to the hospital now for induction, feeling quite positive and excited, good luck to all still waiting. Look forward to reading your birth announcement Gilly!

pigleychez · 20/07/2008 14:30

Good luck Ponto!!!
Thinking of you

Lookig forward to hearing about the birth of bubba!

catec · 20/07/2008 14:35

Ooh, good luck Gilly and Ponto!
My best friend who was due a week after me had a girl this morning . This is her second baby, both labours amazingly quick but at least this time she made it to the hospital! Gave birth while her DP was parking the car. Don't think he minded too much though as having to deliver their first baby was enough excitement for him for 2 births!
I want mine now!

disneystar · 20/07/2008 15:37

good luck ponto its still so exciting for me to see all these babies appear

well im of to the sofa for a nap my dh has taken all the boys upstairs to play on a game with them, sam asleep for at least an hour ive had 1 1/2 hours in the last 24 im so overtired now i feel sick
then promised boys a walk in the park but i dont need long im so deprived of sleep 1 hour is bliss so g,night till later

pigleychez · 20/07/2008 16:01

Enjoy your nap

Anyone heard from BEBEJONES??
Think its been a few dasys? Wonder if she has a new arrival?

CilC · 20/07/2008 19:07

Hi everyone

Just dropping by to say hello! I hope those waiting have their babies soon! Still a bit behind on the thread...but will catch up soon!
Can not believe the relief I am feeling from the SPD, I can now walk!!! Hence why I have not been on here for a while...have not been home since Rafferty was born! Too busy shopping and catching up with everyone! So busy I got a rude phone message from Midwives - they have been around twice and I have not been home!
HOw is Sam going disneystar? My dd went 12% below her birth weight, but it did not take long to get her back.
Take care everyone and let's hope there are more babies soon!

Minkus · 20/07/2008 21:21

CilC glad your spd is better! A bit though- mine (started during labour and has persisted since ) is still going strong and so I am calling a McTimoney chiropractor tomorow who was recommended by my midwife. It's really marring my first few weeks with Louis and making it much more difficult for poor ds1 as on top of having less time to devote to him, I can't even play properly with him when I do manage to grab a few minutes away from the Chief Boob Botherer

Have you overdue-ers and ladies a-waiting planned some nice activities for this week to take your mind off still being preggers?
