I'll be there but will be bringing DD along, so may not stay for too long. Is there anything fun for toddlers in the area?

turtle23 · 25/01/2008 13:25

derah...see post on other thread

having just read on our board that it's now a friday, i'd love to come! i'll probably need to take out a second mortgage for all the luscious expensive food i'll end up buying as i take the long route back to the tube through the market...

i will be in midst of NCT classes (2 down, 2 to go at that point) so will no doubt have loads of questions for you all, but if questions get too much for you then just need to shove some cake in my mouth

turtle23 · 04/02/2008 12:30

Has anyone checked this place out to see if it's big enough for all of us?

I may come depending on whether LO has popped out or not.

timmyinatizzy · 05/02/2008 10:16

Me, me, me. I'll be there. Lisa

JFly · 05/02/2008 10:21

I haven't been past the place in ages, but it's not huge. Hopefully, though, at that time it won't be crowded. If someone gets there and it doesn't look like we'll all fit, then could have plan B of another spot?? Monmouth coffee is really good, but again, has odd seating arrangements.

turtle23 · 05/02/2008 17:05

I dont know the area all that well, perhaps we should just say Lila's and then decamp elsewhere if we don't fit. Those of you who thin you may be late, email me a mobile number and I will text you if we move? sarah turtle hopewell at gmail dot com. Obviously, no spaces, etc.

OK just rang them. They have an upstairs seating area that is the same size as the entire downstairs, so we should be OK. I said there might be 10 of us or so, and guy said shouldn't be a prob on a Friday morning.

Hope it's good!

e14mum · 06/02/2008 10:22

Wow- you're on the ball JFly! Well done...

turtle23 · 06/02/2008 12:14

You're a star! Thanks! Will get there early to um, check if the pastries are ok for pregnant ladies and get seats.

OP posts:
JFly · 06/02/2008 13:36

Good plan. I will get there a bit early too, as I have an NCT meet up to get to later. So social!

turtle23 · 08/02/2008 15:06

Ok, so no Lila's. Hate to say it, but we should probably aim for a Starbucks or something. Anyone know this one:

21-27 St. Thomas Street
London, SE1 9RY
It's close to London Bridge so can still do Borough Market.

OP posts:
e14mum · 08/02/2008 15:13

Yeah, you're probably right- Starbucks should have loos!!
I'll look that one up- sounds good to me!

JFly · 08/02/2008 15:37

Oh dear. Well, at least we know!

Urgh, wish there was somewhere other than Starbucks. Don't get me wrong, I go to Starbucks most days, but.... Suppose it's reliable, though. Why aren't there non-chain places to have a nice cup of coffee and cake?? I'm going to open my own! Lots of space, lovely posh & tasty cakes, loos and no stairs!

MarchMum · 08/02/2008 22:15

you sent me cd, we're even. :.)

if lila's no good, what about cafe at tate modern. also happy to offer up my house (baker st) depending on how many coming?

turtle23 · 08/02/2008 23:00

All for Tate Modern Cafe?

OP posts:
e14mum · 09/02/2008 10:44

I vote for Tate Modern cafe

turtle23 · 11/02/2008 09:29

Exec decision here... Tate Modern it is.
(followed by wander round borough market eating all the samples?)

turtle23 · 11/02/2008 15:31

10:30, yes. All in?

OP posts:
JFly · 11/02/2008 20:08

Yep, yep, I'm in! Tate Modern.

timmyinatizzy · 11/02/2008 20:22

turtle23 · 11/02/2008 21:07
