Hi
Is anyone else due in January 2021? I took a pregnancy test this morning and got a positive. This makes me 4w2d today. I am absolutely terrified! I have been ttc for 3.5 years and am under the care of the fertility clinic but haven't actually started any treatment yet as I had a laparoscopy earlier this year for an edometrioma and endometriosis. This is technically our second pregnancy as I got pregnant two years ago but miscarried at 5.5 weeks. Havent told my partner yet as I don't want to get him excited in case it ends in a miscarriage again.

I have wondered to have an elective or try natural this time but I feel I just want a calm experience this time I don't want all the stress and anxiety so think I might choose elective, sounds like you had a really positive experience

I had my scan the other day and all went well. I had forgotten how amazing it was to see the baby for the first time on screen. Such a shame my poor husband was not allowed to attend due to new
covid rules. My due date is 27th jan

@SK28 your experience sounds lovely. Just wondering if anyone can opt for an elective c-section or do you need to have a medical requirement?

SK28 · 18/07/2020 13:17

@Lilo08 I'm not sure actually. There are various reasons that definitely give you the choice including mental health as well as physical health, and certain events or factors in previous or current pregnancy/labour. But I'm not sure beyond that. Worth talking to your midwife about if you are considering it.

My scan is next week, but the appointment letter said I am allowed to have someone with me. I'll probably be alone as my husband works abroad and won't be here, and I need my mum for childcare really, but it seems my hospital is allowing birth partners at scans currently.

I had my scan today, 13 weeks exactly. Sadly there was no heartbeat and I lost it two weeks ago. So I'm signing off. Wishing all of you smooth pregnancies, good birth experiences and beautiful bouncing babies xx
