Hi couldn't comment on last thread as it hit 1000 comments and was closed! Hope everyone is doing well?
I'm due in 14 days but it seems to be going in slow motion! I'm very excited but feeling a bit overwhelmed and emotional all of a sudden! also getting so uncomfortable now!

Baby arrived on Tuesday at 39 + 3. This birth was quicker than my quick first birth! He's a dream. Eats, sleeps and only yelps when mummy is slacking with the nappy or feeds. Pity I had counted on him being late, so I am still sorting through clothes etc.

What they don't tell you; post birth uterus contractions hurt like hell and only get worse after every subsequent birth. This was my second, and yes, I felt like I was in labour during every breast feed attempt (I'm combination feeding).

Congratulations to all the mummy's who have given birth, and all the best for the ones yet to!

Little baba arrived via emcs 5,11 and looks even tinier in person !! Gave mummy a real hard time which nearly resulted in going back to theatre for womb removal!!

congratulations all who have had their babies! 3 days old today and I'm just in awe and can't stop looking at our baby Isaac....he has completed our family!
@JayDot500 yes I hear you on the uterus pain! ouch lol (worth it of course)

I know you mean re the uterus pain, and no one warned me about the horrific wind after a section until it happened... I thought I was going to explode 😳

@codenameduchess apparently peppermint tea is good for trapped wind, I got lucky on that front but the morning after I was completely unable to pee. It was the most awful pain. They thought they were going to have to re-catheterise me.

@goingtoneedabiggercar yes I found it hard to pee, like my body had forgotten what to do! It took 3 trips of just sitting on the toilet for a good 10 minutes before I peed enough for the midwife to stop talking about another catheter. I was terrified of the first poo, but that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

@codenameduchess I felt like all my muscles had clamped up and wouldn't budge. Midwife sat with baby and found me a nice private loo away from the ward where I could relax and take my time. It was a huge help.

Am 39 weeks, baby due one week today and getting so impatient now. Having horrendous acid reflux / heartburn too despite baby being fully engaged. Have had a couple of instances of bloody show and lots of braxton hicks but still nothing else happening yet.

I'm 39 weeks too, I go in tomorrow for my c-section. I'm absolutely terrified but trying to keep my mind off it as much as possible. I can't wait to meet my baby boy

My baby boy was born at 2pm yesterday weighing a teeny 5lb 11oz! Long way from my first who was 8lb 8oz at birth! Absolutely in love with him and he's a dream baby so far
