Anyone else pregnant with not then 1? I have a lovely month group but the chatty ones are all having singletons and with the extra scans and additional worries I don't feel I really have anyone else to talk to going through the same so thought it might help others too?

Currnetly 17 weeks pregnant with mono Di babies

Xah I'm sorry, not what you were hoping I know. How often will they scan you? I think I read the av gestation for Mono Mono babies was 34 weeks which seems eay but is still really good considering x

@SleepingStandingUp I'll be scanned at least every 2 weeks. Hopefully they'll find one later on. What frightens me the most is delivering between 32 and 35 weeks. It's just so early!

My toddler is still very attached to his boobs and I just know I'm going to be torn between my babies. I'm thinking of looking into counselling, finding this all really tough.

SleepingStandingUp · 07/09/2019 09:44

Would you consider starting to wean him now? If babies do come at say 32 weeks they'll be in for a few weeks at least and you'll presumably want to pump for them. It might be worth considering weaning now so it isn't such a wrench.

I'm on a Preemie group in Facebook if you use it, you could join that now as you're certain to have babies before 37 weeks (my first was a 35 weeker so I use it) and you'll get some guidance and support from other twin Mom's delivering at that kind of gestation.

I'll find you a link x

@SleepingStandingUp thank you. I've joined. Think the group is possibly adding to my anxiety about it all though. Have referred to MH midwife as I'm struggling.

SleepingStandingUp · 13/09/2019 22:01

Sorry it hasn't helped. Referral sounds like a sensible call. When's your next scan?

@SleepingStandingUp next scan is on 24th. Can't wait to start feeling kicks. I really think it will help me a lot to feel them more regularly. I feel like I'm in limbo, there could be something wrong and I'd have no idea. I also think that finding out theirs gender will help to give me something to focus on.

How are you?

SleepingStandingUp · 17/09/2019 13:00

I'm OK, starting to feels kicks from No2 and a few very low twinges from 1. It worries me that 1 hasn't moved position much but have to trust hospital that they're not worried. Just tired really, we're trying to get our fairly small house to accompdate two more so rather than a relaxing few months, I'm manically sorting and clearing stuff away.

Hi ladies!

Thought I'd join a twin thread - I've been trying to find a recent/ active one!
I've been suffering from hyperemesis for the last few weeks (from week 5) and boobs have been quite sore! We went for a private early scan on Sunday (I'm now around 8 weeks) to discover that we are expecting twins (DCDA/ fraternal). We saw both heartbeats and sonographer said they seemed fine/ healthy.

Apart from the obvious overwhelming/ shocked feelings we initially had (DH almost passed out during scan), we are truly over the moon! Smile

Next scan in 3 weeks and I can't wait already! I've been signed off work for 3 weeks and I'm in constant worry about whether they're both okay, should I be showing by now, etc.

Hoping some of you can share some light on your experiences!

SleepingStandingUp · 25/09/2019 14:08

@SleepingStandingUp,
Just found this thread. I am 32+2weeks with DCDA Boys. I can not wait to give birth but know the longer they stay in Tummy the better that they will not end up in NICU! Pregnancy has been smooth sailing so far. I have Hospital Appointments every 4 weeks. In future 2weeks going forward.
Wishing all ladies all the best.
