Due Mid-December 2019

WildFlower2019 · 05/04/2019 13:30

I just thought I'd start a new thread for anybody who is due mid-December!

My AF is due today & I had my BFP three days ago. Obviously, I'm hoping that it's a sticky bean and I know the risk of MC but I'm not superstitious. I need ladies to chat to with and be excited with. I'd stay in my TTC group but I'm worried about annoying people, as I'm one of the first to find out! (It was a group for people who ovulated in the same week). Plus, I don't want to upset anybody who gets a bfn.

The December thread is quite overwhelmingly full of messages, so I thought a new mid-Dec thread would be nice!

All welcome!

About me:

I'm 33

Cycle 5 of TTC since November.

I think my due date based on LMP is around the 14th Dec.

BFP on 10dpo. I'm 13 dpo at the time of writing.

Assuming everything goes ok, this will be my first born baby. I had a TMFR at 13 weeks in August last year, sadly our baby boy didn't develop properly. Docs gave us the all clear to start trying again in Nov.

Due Mid-December 2019

Hi all,

Can I join? EDD 10-15 the December. Won’t know till I have a scan as my af has been irregular post MMC in dec. find the bug thread overwhelming so haven’t posted there yet 😳🙈 So so hoping this one sticks. How are you all feeling? Xx

SunshineandPessimism · 13/04/2019 09:22

*i meant big not bug

Lumul53 · 13/04/2019 09:37

Morning everyone, thanks for checking in @WildFlower2019. I’m doing good, symptoms still coming and going, the constant one seems to be the tiredness and tender breasts. Also keep gagging at certain smells. How is everyone else? Any new symptoms? Oh and I’ve caved and booked an 8 week scan, I know I said I wouldn’t but I just can’t wait and want to know it’s all ok so far. Xx

Thund4rcat · 13/04/2019 09:39

Hi all, I am so pleased to join this thread. I have been TTC for 2 years and on our second cycle of ICSI, I just got my BFP yesterday. First cycle I had a CP after a very faint line one day followed by a negative. But this time it was very strong and came up right away. I think I am due 17th December (with IVF I think I date it from 2 weeks before egg collection). I am so excited to finally be pregnant.

My IVF clinic has booked me in for an early scan on 2nd May.

I have adenomyosis, so double risk of miscarriage but still feeling positive.

Tilly28 · 13/04/2019 11:10

Hi everyone, all good so far here! Away on holidays in sunny Spain this week. Had a couple of days just before where I felt really nauseous and used the sea bands and lots of ginger biscuits which really helped. Tiredness has definitely set in aswel, I’m fast asleep by 9pm everyday as don’t get much chance to rest with 2 little ones! Also so bloated by the end of the day!! Just want to get past 6 weeks and hopefully il feel abit more reassured. I’d like to book an early scan but waiting to see the midwife first as hoping they might give me one after the miscarriage in Jan! How’s everyone else feeling?

AryaNoOne · 13/04/2019 23:19

Can I join? I just got a positive this morning - think I am due 15 December from period dates. DH and I are both 34 and this will be our first baby.

I don’t have any symptoms yet really other than some brown spotting which I guess was from implantation. Can’t call my doctor until Monday so feel a bit in limbo until then but it’s also quite nice to have this lovely news just for DH and me for a weekend!

diplodoco · 13/04/2019 23:21

Hello everyone!
Can I join please. Got my bfp on Wednesday after a mmc August last year, have a 3 year old already. Boobs are sore and heavy but no sickness yet. Predicted due date 17th Dec. Hope everyone is doing ok :)

AuntieJuice · 14/04/2019 10:14

Tentatively joining thread - BFP Friday, was feeling nauseous and extra hungry for a couple of days before. Have had a sort of low down, constant crampiness since around period due date. That's still around but not too bad at the mo. Due 17th Dec based on LMP. Am up in Scotland so referred myself straight to midwifery service so will have booking in on 8 May, scan 5th of june. Trying to resist the urge to do more tests to check it's still real...!
I'm 29 (30 in June) and husband turns 43 today!

AryaNoOne · 14/04/2019 11:46

Hi diplodoco - sorry to hear about your mmc.
And hi AuntieJuice too - happy birthday to your DH. How many weeks is 5 June for the scan?

I’m wondering when my scan might be as I’m trying to decide when to tell people. My mum has never managed to keep a secret so I’m leaning towards waiting, but June seems so long not to mention it. And I’m on holiday with my sister next week and think the not drinking will be pretty obvious (though my sis would be able to keep it to herself so might just tell her and ask her not to tell mum as I will do so in person).

AuntieJuice · 14/04/2019 12:15

@Arya I think it's about 12-13 weeks. Seems like an absolute age away though!
I've only told my sister so far, she's had two kids in the last few years so it feels good to have someone to ask questions to and she'll be a good support if things don't go to plan. She's very good at secrets too. Will probably tell my mum when I see her in a few weeks (we live on opposite sides of the UK!), will only be 8 weeks or so but again I'd like to be able to confide in her if things are difficult. We'll probably not tell partner's family until post scan at least, because he's quite cautious and they're not in the UK.

AryaNoOne · 14/04/2019 12:42

@AuntieJuice sounds great to have your sister to chat to.

Mine is lovely and I know she can keep secrets (plus she knows mum can’t) but she doesn’t have kids so she won’t have any advice for me. I might see what date I get for a scan plus how I feel on the holiday and decide from there - am guessing if morning sickness kicks in all attempts to keep it quiet will be futile anyway!

Mammyofasuperbaby · 14/04/2019 12:51

Can I join. I had my bfp on Friday and I'm due 19th December to 1st January
I have very irregular cycles due to pcos.
This is my third child after having my first prematurely due to severe sudden onset pre eclampsia and losing my second in December due to miscarriage.
I have a 50% chance of miscarriage but I'm hopeful

Thund4rcat · 14/04/2019 18:36

@Mammyofasuperbaby welcome and congratulations! I am sorry about your previous loss. I also have a high risk of miscarriage as I have adenomyosis, so I know how anxious you must be feeling. I am trying to just be happy about being pregnant now though, how are you coping?

Mammyofasuperbaby · 14/04/2019 18:41

Thank you @Tund4rcat I'm feeling really good actually.
I feel well and hopeful. In my last pregnancy everything felt wrong and I knew I'd loose the baby but I feel like I did with my first so all good so far

AuntieJuice · 16/04/2019 09:52

Morning everyone. How are we doing? I'm finding it terribly hard to concentrate at work at the mo. Symptoms settled a bit but still having background nausea. Can't believe how slowly time is passing, it normally races by!

Thund4rcat · 16/04/2019 14:38

@auntiejuice I had bad heartburn for the past 32hrs but it is easing off now. Ate too much on Sunday and apparently its a pregnancy symptom!

Know what you mean about concentrating. I cannot concentrate at all. In fact, as I am ahead with my work I took a spontaneous day off this afternoon.

RudyCJ · 16/04/2019 16:48

Hi ladies, hoping to join you all. I’m due about 16th with my 2nd. Have booked a reassurance scan for 2 weeks time - it seems crazy to me that otherwise I would have had to wait until 12 weeks!?!

Hope you are all feeling well Smile

PickledEgg89 · 16/04/2019 22:59

Hello all I hope it's okay to join x found out on Saturday we are expecting baby #4. I've had previous miscarriages, 1 in January and 2 while trying for my youngest so I'm feeling pretty nervous at the moment.
EDD is the 20th. I hope you're all well x

AryaNoOne · 16/04/2019 23:35

Hi everyone and especially those who just joined the thread today. I’m so sorry @pickledegg89 for your losses.

I’m feeling pretty good symptom wise, a little heartburn and occasional nausea - especially with smells which seem so strong. Someone in my tube carriage tonight had a bag of takeaway Nando’s and that tipped me right into queasiness (when usually I’d have dinner envy 😂).

I’m with AuntieJuice and Thund4rCat on the concentration - very hard to stay focussed in the office. Thankfully I’m on leave from Good Friday to May Bank hol so hopefully I’ll be a little more used to idea and able to focus by the time I get back!

WildFlower2019 · 17/04/2019 07:54

Oh wow, hello everyone! I stopped getting notifications so assumed nobody had posted here in a few days xx

TDLO · 17/04/2019 20:46

Hi all, tentatively joining. I'm a nervous wreck. Got a BFP last Monday, I was only 10 DPO, officially missed my period on Friday.
EDD of 20th Dec. Time is moving slower than a snail.
I had a mmc in Jan this year so I'm totally over analysing and worrying over every little thing. I had some spotting on Monday but nothing since. Midwife thinks it could be implantation bleed and they are going to do an early scan in a couple of weeks.

Symptoms, I'm feeling nauseous around 5/6pm every night. Really dry and flakey hands. On and off cramping. And exceptionally tired, sleeping for 9.30pm or earlier every night.

Wishing everyone a safe pregnancy x

TDLO · 17/04/2019 20:47

Oh and also, very vivid and weird dreams! 😂

Jenny39 · 17/04/2019 21:47

Hi all, I'd love to join this thread. Got a positive test result last week which was a bit of a surprise as we weren't trying and I am 39! Just starting to get over the shock however we are both very pleased. This will be our first so it will be great to hear from other mums at the same stage. EDD is 17th December. Not too many symptoms yet but I echo what TDLO says about the exhaustion and vivid dreams! I'm equally finding it difficult to concentrate at work so am looking forward to the long weekend to have some time to process it all....!

SunStruck · 18/04/2019 02:39

@Jenny39 hi there and congrats! Come join 35+ TTC#1 Graduates group, all mums first timers over 35 😄

I am 35 and got pregnant 2nd cycle, estimated due date 18Dec!

AryaNoOne · 21/04/2019 07:29

Hi everyone! How are we all doing? I’m exactly 6 weeks today and feeling pretty good - a little bit of queasiness and sore boobs but otherwise fine. Hope you are all doing well too, and Happy Easter.
