I'm 4 weeks and just got my bfp yesterday and have my fx for a sticky bean x

@Si1ver. I'm sorry to hear this It looks like there are a few of us on the worry train :-( I've just been on the phone to the epu for bloody discharge and intense dizziness. I can't be seen at the epu until tomorrow but she made me promise I would go to my GP today for the dizziness, so I'm seeing them this evening.

Being pregnant is fucking awful. It's worry worry worry for the whole 40 weeks! It's sucks so much more when it's taken us all age to get pregnant

From what I can gather (second hand through my husband) it sounds like they think the baby has a trisomy disorder and that it's presenting with hydrocephalus. That's my interpretation though, my husband doesn't know enough to ask the right questions really, so it's all second hand and garbled, the main message is that things don't look good.

My last scan was at 10+4 and it all looked ok then.

The other thing is that if we are ok, then we've agreed that we'll not be telling them about our pregnancy for a couple more months. My PiL aren't really onboard with this and think that the news of another family pregnancy would cheer them up. I think the PiLs are being insensitive twats.

Your PILs are definitely deluded. That's like telling someone that you've won the lottery to cheer them up about their bankruptcy 😒

Awful news for your BIL and SIL, can't imagine how they must be feeling.

Uhmm - yeah. Your in laws are really misjudging this situation.

There’s nothing that will make you worry any less, but try to remember that chromosomal/genetic abnormalities are really really rare at this stage. Most don’t make it to a heartbeat.

Try to distract yourself until Wednesday x

That's shitty for your in laws S1lver but the odds of a replay for all of you are so slim. I agree, Pils are a bit mad, although I can sort of see that maybe they are trying to stay positive. Glad your scan is fairly soon.

So sorry, Si1ver, it's horrible being so worried something bad will happen and especially if it's happening to someone close to you. Everything crossed for your scan and remember history doesn't necessarily repeat itself.

@Si1ver. I hope you are ok I totally get about keeping it quiet. No one in real life knows I'm pregnant and we are going to keep it that way for as long as possible. It's not a bit of fluff news or gossip, it's a big thing. Do what's best for you

@WonkyDonk87. I feel physically sick this morning. I'm as far along as I was last time when it went wrong. I'm a hop skip and jump away from a panic attack. My scan is at 11:30. Keep your everything crossed for me x

I'm on the countdown til mine now, one week today. I've demanded a date night with DH as a distraction

@WonkyDonk87. I squeezed DH's hand that hard I'm surprised it didn't snap. The sonographer's bedside manner was sucky. He started with "Your scan next week will be too early" And I thought "Oh my god it's happening again" but then he turned the screen and we saw an actual baby that looked like a baby :-) I can't believe how much they change in such a short time. My new dating scan will be on the 31st so that's two weeks today.

@WonkyDonk87. I don't know what it's like in other parts of the country but dating is 11-14 weeks here. Celebrating? Internally yes lol externally, no! I am shattered! We did have a McDonald's in the way home though

@LookingAtTheStars89 We went for pizza express (romance a la Tesco vouchers ) - MacDonalds is my secret guilty pleasure when I'm on my own! I even eat it in the car in hiding.

Just realised that post comes across as a bit judgy sounding - not how I intended it at all. I mainly eat mine in secret as I eat quite a lot

@Milknosugar1. I'm so so so jealous!! I LOVE PEANUT butter bit guess what...DH has a fucking peanut allergy - the anaphylaxis kind So I can't eat anything with peanuts in

@Si1ver. Scans make me feel sick to my stomach. I could barely stand up yesterday before mine. Fingers crossed everything will be looking good I hope you don't mind me asking but have you heard anything more about your sister-in-law?
