Hi bumble!! > complete arse, isn't it!!?

Looks like I've got ANOTHER May baby then ..... sigh ... .... shouldn't be really - I am VERY blessed to have the priviledge of being this little one's parent and I CANNOT wait to meet him / her .....

CaptainDippy · 30/04/2007 12:13

Right. off to have lunch and then out for PM at friends ..... "See" you all later - hopefully they'll be some baby action today - Last chance for an April baby!!! ....

bumble75 · 30/04/2007 12:17

glitterkitty · 30/04/2007 12:17

Just spoke to midwife about painful pelvis- she thinks im in v early labour and just to wait. did say it could be a few more days tho, aaarrrggghhhhhhh!!!!!

heidle · 30/04/2007 12:27

have fingers crossed for us all for april.........come on babies!
have just read the instructions to my tens machine (arrived this morning) how very organised eh?

a quick question - my sil has just emailed to say she has spare ticket for justin timberlake tonight, and would I like to go - do you think the volume might bring the little pink one out?
I'm more than tempted, not by justin, but it would be nice to say I was out at a concert the night before(ahem) you were born (wishful thinking or stupidity)?

bumble75 · 30/04/2007 12:28

GK - the waiting is rubbish isn't it? Hope not too painful for you in the meantime.

C'mon babies!!!!

Finally going to post office (2 hours after I first decided to go!), will be back later (after eating chocolate muffin Tesco man just delivered - hurrah!)

xx

mmk · 30/04/2007 13:01

ummm being fick here, but where do we all go to once the babies have arrived, ie which thread?

Rachel has arrived safe and well, and I'm hoping to catch up

eca · 30/04/2007 13:01

hi all

just popping in quickly to see if anyone can help... I've started a thread here asking for some advice about tongue tie. I noticed T has got one and I'm not sure what to do about it. It's causing some probs bf. If anyone knows anything about them, any advice would be gratefully received!!

thanks loves

Bramshott · 30/04/2007 13:18

Hi MMK. Pop across here to share the baby-related sleep deprivation! And then pop back to this one to commiserate with those still suffering late-pregnancy sleep deprivation!!

Emmymummy · 30/04/2007 14:10

Reflexology was lovely...have had really puffy feet & ankles for weeks & weeks and now they feel all light and have un-puffed slightly. Who knows if the treatment will lead to anything, but baby felt like she was trying to pile-drive downwards on and off throughout. Funny, as certain pressure points she pressed made the baby wriggle around...anyway, she says she doesn't think it'll be long (I blooming well hope not), and was very pleasant and lovely, so all in all a very nice experience!

Only problem is that I now have a massive craving for some chocolate - is this a known after-effect of reflexology?

GK - my groin has been extremely painful too, particularly in the evening. I just put it down to the pressure of the baby's head pressing downwards, but encouraging to her it may be early labour .

Well have a friend arriving for a cup of tea in a minute, better scoff all the chocolate I can before she gets here (what, share it???).

Katy44 · 30/04/2007 14:36

Sorry mmk, did plan to link to the post natal thread but didn't have the energy! Thought someone would do here though!
CD - your in-laws sound like a nightmare, hope they're a bit more useful when they're needed (not that they weren't needed yesterday but you know what I mean, when it comes to the crunch)
Well, I had something to say, and now...it's gone. Might try putting a pic of T on my profile.

Katy44 · 30/04/2007 14:39

I've put a pic on my profile (if it's worked!). Will probably take it off again tomorrow morning though (he's on the FBI most wanted list )

nuttygirl · 30/04/2007 14:57

Ooh Heidle - concert, at this late stage...absolutely not. But I only say that cos my fave band were playing at my fave venue (for the first time in about 3 years) at the end of March and DH wouldn't let me go . I thought it would be pretty cool for the baby to be born at a gig!!!

CD - You poor thing with your ILs. If mine had been hanging around while I was having contractions I'd have been bloomin furious...I don't think they'd have lived! And not taking your kids out to help you relax . What is it with ILs...mine made a 4.5hr trip to see us the other weekend (after MIL had cried on me saying how much she wants to see her granddaughter) and stayed for all of about 2 hrs before going out for a meal (which we weren't invited to - cos baby might cry). They came back the next day (having stayed in a £100 a night hotel even tho there's a traveldge type place much closer to us) for another couple of hours and refused to go to anywhere nearby for lunch cos nothing near us is up to their snotty standards. I was . Sorry that's turned into a bit of a rant. Thinking of you and sending you loadsa labour vibes (& coping with IL vibes!!!)

EllieKthePA · 30/04/2007 15:08

hi all
haven't caught up with today's posts yet but had a text from

LESLEYR
"BEEN IN HOSPITAL WITH GEORGE SINCE SATURDAY PM. HE HADN'T FED PROPERLY FOR 12HRS AND HAD TEMPERATURE. WAS TERRIFYING ALL THE WIRES AND TUBES AND TESTS WHEN WE FIRST ARRIVED. HE HAS A UTI AND IS ON INTRAVENOUS ANTIBIOTICS. THEY'VE SCANNED HIS KIDNEYS FOR ANY LASTING DAMAGE. IF THE LAST FEW TEST RESULTS ARE CLEAR WE SHOULD BE HOME TOMORROW OR WEDNESDAY. HE'S MUCH MORE HIMSELF TODAY THANK GOODNESS. HOPE ALL NEW AND WAITING MUMS ARE WELL. LESLEY R X"

Aw poor Lesley & George - glad things are on the mend for him .

Has anyone seen the June anti-natal club's latest thread title? Wonder of they'll get as much flak as we usually do?

EllieKthePA · 30/04/2007 15:23

ooh, what is it? the shit i forgot to cross my legs one?

OP posts:
Emmymummy · 30/04/2007 15:24

No, it's something about charging the little **ers rent! Hahaha wonder how long it'll take to kick off?

EllieKthePA · 30/04/2007 15:25

ooh, just seen it

ladies, we've taught them well

OP posts:
heidle · 30/04/2007 15:31

any news ladies?
hmmm?

nothing to report here I'm afraid

nuttygirl - I take your point, I had just texted sil to say thanks but no thanks - justin's not my favourite, with someone else I might have been tempted, but with a 30 minute drive to the arena, I think I'll stay here with hot bath and sleep!

Lesley & george - hope you get well and home soon, bless you, those tubes and tests must have been scary!

emmymummy - reflexology sounds just lovely! I have quite disgusting water retention in my legs - can't get my favourite boots fastened at the mo - just as well it's getting warmer really! am hoping it will all flow away immediately after birth (whenever that might be)

CD - I know what you mean about in-laws - as lovely as mine are I don't think I could bear to ring them in case the same happened here. dh was even ignoring their calls yesterday !

I don't know why we are treated like failures for not having had our wee ones yet, we're just making sure they are absolutely ready, and that the weather is warm enough....

sorry for anyone I've missed, kids are clamouring to get their bikes out, and it is such a lovely afternoon - see you all later!

heidle · 30/04/2007 15:33

what june thread title..?

Glad you like our title ...we've had one tut tut so far, but nothing else....frankly we were disappointed that we didn't get any adverse comments about our nanny one.

We've also got a few choice ones up our sleeves for closer to our time...so watch this space...well not this space, our space IYSWIM....

Good Luck for the remainder of you...not many left now, yikes that means we're getting closer
