Oooo have had a bit of a show. Not much, but an improvement on absolutely bugger all .

I can't wait to get back into my normal clothes....I know it'll be stretchy tops and undone buttons for a while, but anything to get away from pigging maternity clothes...

Katy44 · 03/05/2007 16:09

I'm off to walk to the shop, I'd love to be a size 12, belly or no belly!!

Katy44 · 03/05/2007 16:09

oooh Emmymummy, surely that must mean not much longer?!

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 16:12

Please oh please oh please Katy.....just bring on that pain (but make it quick!).

Ok, it's 3 weeks after birth here too and there's no way i'm fitting into anything but pg stuff, but then again i did eat nothign but crap the entire way through so didn't expect to!!!! Anyway i'm on day 4 of the diet and still no chocolate Bet my body's wondering what the f**s going on

Pinkjenny, i agree with Ellie, have only really heard of them getting it wrong when saying it's a girl then it turns out to be a boy, they hide their dinkles at the scan

And you may well lose quite a lot in the first week but 3 stone might be too much to ask for but you never know! Would be very if you did

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 16:29

Eddas - lol at body wondering what's going on...am just sitting here scoffing a rather lovely bag of kettle chips whilst I still have an excuse

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 16:34

No fair - the 'Due in May' ladies have already started a post-natal thread, and some of us haven't even made it onto the April post-natal one yet .

Eddas · 03/05/2007 16:45

crisps

The pushing in lark isn't on, don't they know there's a q?!

Some people on here forgot too

glitterkitty · 03/05/2007 16:52

Hideous day. Had really unconfortable exam this morning- still no show, no dilation, cervix posterior, nothing nothing nothing. Disgraced myself by blubbing when they did it too- but it did feel horrible.

booked in for another sweep attempt on tues and induction on weds

think i'd do just about anything to get this baby out now...

good luck elkie, and gmm hope you progress, all sounds v promising! Heidle- pms over reabsorbed bump- exactly how I feel...

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 16:59

Oh GK, sorry to hear the exam was so horrid - it really is very very unpleasant being poked and prodded. My MW is not the most gentle when doing this, but on the plus side, the more aggressive they are, the more likely they are to set things off, so grin and bear it if you can. Oh the indignities of having a baby huh?

maveta · 03/05/2007 17:00

Aaaargh on your behalf girls!! COME ON BABIES!

Those links were great Ellie, thanks for that, have had a good old nosey around..i like the wrap dress best but it is really expensive and does look every so slightly complicated - or that could be me being dim...? Second what everyone else has said about the drug trial.. could be good but sounds like they need to give you a lot more info first. Good luck x

I haven´t got any nursing clothes so far and only one bra.. yes,I´m being a bit of a minger, I know. I think I´m going to buy a couple of the bravado essential tank tops, they look pretty good as an all in one for summer. But otherwise think I´ll just go for normal tops and accept having to hoik them up. Hey, I think I left my dignity behind in the delivery room anyway so what´s a bit of a tit flash here and there?

Clothes wise..erm yes. I am back in all my normal tops, but then I never really got out of those in the first place, at least they now meet my waistband again instead of cutting me off somewhere around my belly button.. still in the maternity jeans but I live in hope, it´s not even been a week yet so just give me time... not weighed myself and don´t think I will for a while, feel very good about myself and that could just tip me over the edge! lol.

Dh has gone off to practice with his band as they have a gig on saturday, poor guy was really beating himself up about leaving us and I was all ´yeah yeah we´ll miss you, pass me the laptop on your way out would you?´

glitterkitty · 03/05/2007 17:06

thanks emmy- hope your show comes to something soon!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 03/05/2007 17:20

Hi ladies.

GK, sorry to hear the examination was painful - and I don't blame you for crying.

Emmy, really hope your turn comes soon.

Maveta, pmsl at your post, particularly the "tit flash"! You are right in that all sense of dignity is lost once you have been through chldbirth!

Hope everyone else is ok.

All ok here. Had a bit of a green poo issue with Katie, but seems to be returning to normal thankfully. As I am sat here typing, she is farting her head off - like father like daughter I say!

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 17:22

mmm green poo and farts! K sounds delightful!

bumble75 · 03/05/2007 17:24

Oooh, Emmy - hope the show comes to something. GK - sorry your exam was so yuck. Hope Elkie's induction is going ok.

Maveta, I would resist the urge to get on the scales if you're feeling good. I weighed myself yesterday at the m/w 'out of curiosity' and wish I had just stayed in the 'I'm sure I haven't put on that much weight' delusion land I was in before!

Ellie I agree with what the others have said, get as much info as you can before making any decisions about joining the trial.

Good news - after being made redundant 6 weeks ago, dh has been offered a job which he's going to accept. Doesn't have to start until beginning of June, so will still be able to have time at home with me and baby (if baby has arrived by then!). Massive weight off both our minds, went for lovely lunch in the sun to celebrate. Maybe baby was just waiting for Daddy to get a job and will now put in an appearance???

Sexonknackeredlegs · 03/05/2007 18:00

Emmy, pmsl - I didn't do a great sales job on her did I!

Bumble, great news about your dh's new job, and how lovely that he will have lots of time with you and the lo.

bumble75 · 03/05/2007 18:03

Thanks SOKL! And I'm sure they're cute farts

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 18:17

Bumble - what great news about dh's job, and also lovely that he gets to spend nearly a month with you and the baby

EllieKthePA · 03/05/2007 21:16

blardy quiet on here tonight, are you all off having babies

OP posts:
glitterkitty · 03/05/2007 21:19

watching panorama i couldnt help myself- now wish i hadnt though!

eca · 03/05/2007 21:24

GK - I put it on halfway through and quickly switched over. Just switched back at the end and saw mw's having a horrific conversation about killing babies???? WHAT??????? Didn't catch the context, just off to look on here what people are saying about it.

glitterkitty · 03/05/2007 21:29

eca- yes they said it would take a mum dying or a baby being damaged for things to change- but babies dying happens- and can be swept under the rug. although one hospital had 10 mums die in 3 years.
