Hugs to you CaptainDippy - your time will come but it is tough hanging in there at the end - I know - 10 days overdue was both mentally and physically exhausting - so thinking of you.

Loads of labour vibes to you!

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 09:16

Happy due date to us.....Happy due date to us.....Happy due date to me & Maveta, Happy due date to us......!

OK, time to come out now babies, have done the curry and the sex and the cake and the raspberry leaf, surely somethings gotta happen sometime soon?

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 09:24

And I'm overdue by 2 days
Come on baby - we've asked really nicely and bribed him with a multicoloured hedgehog called Sniff.

maveta · 25/04/2007 09:26

Hi Zazas! 10 days must have been hard - most of us on here complaining aren´t even overdue yet, or barely! I think it´s just a bit harder as there´s so few of us left and we can see you all on the PN thread starting life with your new babies.. you know? But yes, it WILL happen!

Happy due date, due date buddy! Yes I feel like there is little left to try and I have to say I am feeling very complacent about it all. I haven´t done the curry yet so who knows. Maybe I´ll make it for lunch instead of dinner... the cake did NOTHING.. NOTHING LIATH CAN YOU HEAR ME??! lol.. but it was yummy so all was not lost..

I think as of today I am going to start upping my RL Tablet intake and apart from that.. sit on the sofa and scratch my arse maybe? I have noticed that in the last couple of days I feel ´heavier´ down below.. a little like I have groin strain or something.. hopefully means it´s all going as it should..

Have my last mw appt today where she will weigh me, listen to the baby´s heartbeat and do exactly F-all else. Useless cow. Then next thursday I´m handed over to the hospital to become their problem..

maveta · 25/04/2007 09:28

Katy44 - LOL.. we keep giving the baby pep talks aswell.. along the lines of ´okay baby, hands down by your side, head down, now SWIM TOWARDS THE LIGHT, SWIM TOWARDS THE LIGHT I SAY"

But you know, strangely enough it isn´t working. Maybe he can´t see the light? Should I get a torch out to help lead the way?

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 09:38

we need a new title ladies ...........

polar bears in there somewhere?

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 09:56

hmm...new title, will have a think
maveta, do you actually shine a torch?? I might have to try that one, we haven't tried it yet! DH normally tells bump that he's a big bump now, is ready to come out, no pressure but we'd really like it if he joins us, he could ... list of things, normally along the lines of watch Spiderman with Daddy, have a proper cuddle, stay in bed when mummy gets up , you get the idea

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 10:02

Maveta - now have am image of you shining a torch where the sun don't usually shine .

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 10:05

They are meant to turn towards light aren't they?
Can anyone explain to me how a baby can be so 'comfortable' upside down with half its head in my pelvis cos I just don't get it?
(Maybe that's the new thread title!)

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 10:11

Ah yes, tis a mystery to me too Katy. Mine also must get very squashed when I lie on my side at night. You'd think she'd want to come out now.

Apparently its gonna be 25 degrees here over the weekend, oh boy am I looking forward to that with my vast wardrobe choices. Can see me sitting in the paddling pool in the garden & eating ice cubes all weekend. I'm already about 5x hotter than a regular person.

maveta · 25/04/2007 10:13

No, there´s not been any torch shining up the ol´fanjo so far but give it time, give it time...

Can´t think of a new thread title! I´m crap at this stuff..

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 10:19

I'm rubbish at them too - all mine get poo-poo'ed as being too rude usually. How about 'follow the light babies, follow the light...'? See, rubbish.

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 10:31

ok, so i like Katy's title buut do you think we could get away with it?

i like yours too EM, and that's deffo not too rude!

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 10:33

If there's the slightest doubt that it might offend someone, it probably will

maveta · 25/04/2007 10:34

Both sound good and perfectly inoffensive to me..

maveta · 25/04/2007 10:34

although Katy does have a point..

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 10:35

we could say hello and it'd offend people!

OP posts:
maveta · 25/04/2007 10:35

April 2007 - there´s ten (or however many) of us left and EllieK said "move over, move over¨ (to the PN thread)

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 10:37

I don't think Katy's is offensive at all. It's the truth afterall, isn't it? Unless we get targeted by those people who don't like listening to us complain that we're pregnant

elkiedee · 25/04/2007 10:37

Fortunately I did slightly better on sleeping between 12 and 7 last night since I had to get up and see the midwife.

Rather a discouraging appt - she meant well but she told me that baby's not engaged at all and could still turn round - that's not what I want to hear since he is at least head down and I'm prepared for delay/ induction but was feeling hopeful about avoiding a Caesarian.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that baby shows more signs of being less cosy soon, and doesn't go turning.

Best of luck to the others still waiting.

maveta · 25/04/2007 10:37

I make it 14 left, is that right? Not counting the extra list at the bottom cos I´m not sure who´s still around from that list.. We need to take Isabella and Pesha off the waiting list but I can´t remember their stats.. can anyone else?

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 10:38

Lol Maveta - 'ten fat sausages sizzling in the pan, one went pop and the other went bang'!

maveta · 25/04/2007 10:39

Emmy - I´m with you but that seems to be EXACTLY why most of our titles have been offensive... because how DARE we complain about being pregnant when so many people would love to be.

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 10:40

I've still got your email about Pesha, Ellie. We haven't had the sex confirmed yet though...

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 10:41

doesn't work as well with 14 tho does it?!
