Ooops - sorry for double post!

CaptainDippy · 22/04/2007 15:34

Hope you have a good lie down bumble honey! Girls have only just woken up - so I think a brisk walk to the park and a run around for a while to knacker them out is in order!! Has been soooo nice to sit in the sunny garden and read my book though - Tried to do a bit of digging; but got too exhausted too quickly! Loosing my touch .....

Hope everyone else is having a super day ....

LesleyR · 22/04/2007 15:37

Congratulations WeeOnion! Looking forward to details and pics of your lovely girl.

Smole- glad to hear Jesse is home and doing well.

DH has escaped to pub for footy. 1st time since George was born. He's an angel most of the time but he's being a grizzler today.

HTH- There he goes again!

CaptainDippy · 22/04/2007 15:40

"Stop grizzling and give your mama some peace, little man!!"

Right, park ......

Well, my dad came round for a threatened visit, I feel fussed by him, being the grumpy cow I am right now. But the real problem is that I felt so sick I just lay in a heap on the sofa because I didn't want to start throwing up while he was round here. It hasn't gone but I haven't been sick yet, am hoping I might get to digest some food even if I still have to face getting the acid out.

Actually, sitting up is often better than lying down, it's just uncomfortable in other ways.

I am so looking forward to proper meals without fear again, I'l probaby just pile on the weight I haven't actually put on during pregnancy (well, unless in the last few weeks) - I weighed marginally less at 36 weeks than at 12 weeks.

Smole - so glad to hear from you - I can only echo the words said by everyone else on here. Hope it all continues to go well for you now honey

Elkie - how can you not have put on any weight? Surely that's against the law.

Have been at the PILs for most of the day which has been great as they have been feeding me and entertaining Em. DH was at work today, but is now officially 'off-roster' so can pretty much pick the hours he works until paternity leave starts. This is good as he's going to do the school run for me tomorrow (the school run is such an effort at the moment). Def feel like the baby has dropped, I can feel my ribs again above the bump and the rib-pain has reduced. Having a yummy glass of red wine at the moment, purely for therapeutic reasons you understand.....

Joe smells of Stephen now

My mum actually lost 2 stone with each pregnancy (3 kids) because she continued being sick throughout - I haven't been sick as much but have had enough problems to put me off eating proper meals.

Pinions · 22/04/2007 19:14

And hows baby doing?

Emmymummy · 22/04/2007 19:25

Hi Pinions, good to hear from you.

Ellie - glad Stephen finally got to meet Joe. Did he fall in love?

Pinions · 22/04/2007 19:26

Hi Emmy good luck for the birth

EllieKthePA · 22/04/2007 19:26

i'm doing ok, still tearful but not cos i'm down, just excess emotions

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 22/04/2007 19:27

and baby Joe is just fine
at his 6 day weigh in he was 8lb 12 (5 ozs bigger than birth!)

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 22/04/2007 19:28

Stephen did the 'i don't do babies thing' as soon as he got here, but when i put Joe next to him on the sofa while i went to get dinner, i came back in to find he'd picked him up for a cuddle

OP posts:
Pinions · 22/04/2007 19:28

Its quite OK to be tearful. When you're tired everything just seems to be much worse than it is too. You to try and get as much "help" as you can, not wanting to sound patronising. You must be exhausted cos I know that I am half the time.

Pinions · 22/04/2007 19:29

And 8lb12 is fantastic!!!

EllieKthePA · 22/04/2007 19:30

and yet he is still too small for newborn size clothes and needs tiny baby

OP posts:
Pinions · 22/04/2007 19:32

How does that work out then?

EllieKthePA · 22/04/2007 19:35

cos he's a skinny thing with long legs
can't work out where all the weight is, must be in his feet

OP posts:
Pinions · 22/04/2007 19:36

Well thats a good weight anyway...planning any more yet lol?
