Hello to All & Congrats to those with little babies already!
Im back after a very long time (joined on thread #3, 11Jul).
39wks today, yesterday was my last proper day at the office. Phew!
DueD 13 Jan - and the interview for my potential replacement is only on the 10 Jan. No idea how my boss is expecting for the handover to happen?!?
Planning on napping and eating today with breaks to fold washed baby clothes into hosp bag. can't do much more due to poor state of hips/pelvis - this SPD (PGP) is excruciating! Planning on a bath when DP comes back this afternoon (cannot get out of bathtub by myself anymore, lol!)
Long story short: went though some tough times this summer/autumn with my DP gone to look after his Dad with cancer (treatments worked!), DP loosing a job, me having to move to a smaller place and changing hospitals, as I had 3 jobs - had to leave 2, and stay with one. I was rather down and asking my GP for help with my depressed state since May - and non of the GP's in the surgery were kind to me even after I would tear up only when trying to speak. Luckily I saw a leaflet of a charity talking about bumpy rides - from then things started to get much better. Ladies at Community Parents helped me to understand system in the UK, and helped me with my low moods - so I was able to demand what I need from my GP. Then SPD (PGP) appeared. Around Sep I have finally got a referral to specialist Gateway Midwifes - such a relief - from then on with lots of input with dedicated MW support I have finally felt like Im out of the dark. Still very down, but having someone to cry to was such a relief when DP is away by location, and by his state due to his Dad and job.
@millsbynight - thank you for keeping my name on the list!
@Rosehyd2 , @MissyJones80s, @GruffaloSoldier, @WLMcI - thank you for welcoming me into the group back in Jul - it meant a lot to me. Even though I did not post - I would come back to read of your journeys every now-and-then, and I would feel so much less isolated and alone. Enormous THANK YOU!
