Just waiting for my pre-bed heartburn to die down a bit before retiring for the night.

Thanks to all for being so nice earlier re my friend. Had a good chat with her tonight and feel a lot better.

Good luck to Ooogs for tomorrow. More babies! Exciting!

Ellie I'm quite jealous of your 4/5 engaged LO. Don't feel like mine has moved down at all. Hoping it comes on time or a bit early though. My mam is visiting for 2 days next week and am sure she'll be hoping for labour while she's here.

bEllieK · 28/03/2007 23:11

it's not engaged Lesley so don't be

they mean they can still feel 4/5 of the head when they say that here

LesleyR · 28/03/2007 23:17

My prediction is for 3 babies today

runnyhabbit · 29/03/2007 07:48

morning all
mammyjo - CONGRATULATIONS! Lovely name (haven't we got great taste in names)
Have caught up on the posts, but forgotten most of it

DH came home last night - yay!! He's working in Cardiff today and tomorrow, so I've started on the raspberry leaf tea Not sure if it was conincidence, but was getting some very intense period type pains last night Got mw today for my repeat antibodies test - yuck

Ds still not right. Bless him, he forgets that he's hungry, then when he starts eating he remembers that his back teeth hurt, and sobs his heart out Woke up about 5 times last night. So glad dh was here - he saw to him most of the night. He's meant to be in nursery this morning, but is fast asleep atm, so we'll have to see. Thing is, when he's playing, or distracted, he's fine. Just means its hard work for me Never mind.

Btw - George at Asda have got maternity nightwear, and bought a pack of 2 nighties for £8 - one has poppers all the way down the front (good for labouring and skin to skin) and the other has poppers half way down. Colours aren't that special, but thought they were good value.

See you later
x

Hello ladies

Glad to see there's no more announcements since i logged on feeling very but so happy for all those with the lo's out already.

I just no i'm going to have to wait to have a bloody sweep on the 9th the probably be induced on the 16th. Was hoping that it'd all be over by 16th as that' 2 weeks after my due date, but they've changed policies so likelihood is i won't even be induced til that day.

Anyhoo have just pretty much had enough of all the 'oo you can't have long' comments and then the 'well it's still quite high'. F* off that's the last thing a heavily pg woman wants to hear!!! And DH saying i know how you feel REALLY have YOU been 9 months pregnant before, HAVE YOU?!!! I haven't said that but I will soon if he says it again, arrrggh!

Sorry for the rant, wasn't meant to do that it just slipped out

Hope everyone else is doing well and am looking forward to news of ooggs asap.

The comment re the full moon was interesting, i'm due on the 2nd so i'm hoping she was right, we will see

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 29/03/2007 08:37

Just thought I'd pop in from the June thread and say hi! I wonder how many babies you'll have today!

bEllieK · 29/03/2007 09:07

morning all!

i WILL get some housework done today
my gran is taking Matthew out for the day so I have to do something other than MN all day

runnyhabbit · 29/03/2007 09:20

Eddas - Rant away I had a complete stranger come up to me in Tesco yesterday, and insisted she knew that I really wanted a girl (ds was in the next aisle with his nana) and proceeded to tell me about her grandson, but was adamant I was having a girl. FFS! Have to say, dh knows better than to tell me he knows what I'm going through.
If I've got one of the nicer mw today, I'm going ask about having a sweep next week (I'm 38+2 today) Because bump is all at the front, its really starting to play my back up, so hopefully I'll get the sympathy vote [fingers crossed emoticon]

Of course the other alternative is to make loads of plans for the day you want lo to arrive, then by sods law, it should come

Elliek - bet you're on MN most of the day

IsabellyMoi · 29/03/2007 09:33

Good morning all!

Runny - Hope your DS is feeling better soon - poor little guy! Re. your sweep: I had my 38 week app't on Tuesday and my MW said she'd do a sweep at my next visit. I didn't know this, but apparently it is NICE guidelines to routinely offer it at 39 weeks as there are no drawbacks (apart from the discomfort) and the research does show that it decreases the chances of needing a full/proper induction later. I was kind of in the 'let nature take it's course' camp until I read more about this but now I plan to have a sweep next week and from what I understand, your MW should be very willing and ready to give you a sweep at your next appointment.

I fully expected to log on this morning and see a birth announcement from someone! Looking forward to hearing Ooogs' news!

I'm getting to the stage where I can't sleep for very long on either side. I can only imagine what 1B3 and Oogs have gone through. 1B3 - hope your first few days of getting to know Lola and Zed have been wonderful. Take care

Hi AngeG and Smole! Not long now for you AngeG!!

maveta · 29/03/2007 09:45

Hello everyone, hi Hollyandtheeasterbunny!

Off work today so just bumming about but it´s so quiet on here, typical! Finally finished off all the hospital bags and now just rewashing nappies (again!) and got to wash the baby clothes my SIL gave me. Have to say spanish babies must be teeny cos these clothes look so much smaller than the ones my Mum got me from the UK. But might as well wash them and have them ready...

Nothing else planned.. oh the excitement.. might pop round to Mum´s shortly and watch satellite tv.. YAY!

Have to say it really does feel like most of you are so far ahead of me at the moment.. all these 38 week appts! Mine isn´t til the 11th! ..

Hope you all have a fab day.. GOOD LUCK OOOGS!! Hope it´s all going to plan x
