Dh has a pin-head thank goodness !

RH hope ds is feeling better soon, dd had hand foot & mouth a few months ago & was pretty miserable with it for a day or two. She could only manage milk & weetabix with her sore mouth.

Might not bother with the raspberry leaf here, i am definitely "doing an octo" with lots of tightenings and wouldn't want them any worse. Had a pretty efficient labour last time so hoping for similar.

Last day of work tomorrow - hooray!

Hope ooggs is doing well. My sister is being induced tomorrow (13 days overdue) so am hoping it goes OK, she's a bit upset as she didn't think much of the maternity unit when she went round and really wanted to labour as far as possible at home before going in.

Pesha, LOL at ds willy comments, hilarious what they come out with isn't it? One to quote at his wedding I think !

Boredom task - one gift item you would love to be given after the birth and most unwanted item (am off to learn how to do links!) ....

doghouse · 29/03/2007 18:38

Hi everyone
Just popping in ... nothing much to say, like others have mentioned, am getting a bit fed up and bored now. (39+2 today)

Very at tales of such quick labours ... sound great!

Like Yvie and others, just want the baby here now ... at least would mean there was something to 'do' (!) but may regret that comment in a few weeks!!

Take care everyone and good luck Ooogs.

CaptainDippy · 29/03/2007 19:14

Please, please, pleeeeeease tell me that others on here have been having getting their toddlers to bed since the clock change!!!!!!!? DD1 is wailing like a Banshee - We never had this trouble; but this is just sooooo infuriating - Pleeeeease tell me I am not alone - DD1 (shares a room) is being kept awake and is distressed. Getting v. Trying to remain calm .....

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 29/03/2007 19:17

Fucking hell!!!!!

bumble75 · 29/03/2007 19:34

Evening everyone, have been in denial about head size coming from parents... both me and dh have large-ish heads... maybe skips a generation??

Think work are trying to tell me something - went in today and couldn't log on as my pc account has been disabled a week early, apparently they thought my mat leave had already started - am sure will spend best part of remaining week at work trying to get account reactivated!

Day not all bad though - had half day staff conference with chocolate fountain at coffee break... hmmmm, chocolate fountain. Was free bar aftewards and I all could think of was getting home to get feet up - how things have changed!

Hope everyone is well, and sending good labour vibes to oooggs.

x

On pregnancy pillows etc my SIL gave me thisodd shaped pillow
It's been lovely but not much is comfy at this stage.

Pesha · 29/03/2007 20:01

Opinions - ds is 3.8 ( - how did that happen?) We also had 'my willy is broken - it wont work!'. No idea what it was all about! When ds was first born dd, who was 2.9 then, used to tell people 'nathan has a little willy but daddy has a big willy!' Oh and telling random people in tescos that 'the baby came out of mummy's mini', sometimes with pointing just in case they didnt know where that is!!

Octo - dp is not best impressed at going to bath on sunday but Im considering going on my own next week one day with the dc. Bit nervous bout finding my way there and where to park though, especially as dp has just told me that the little multi storey at bottom of town has shut and its the only place to park i thought i might vaguely be able to remember where it was!

Cant remember anything else, am off to check red books now, both dc had big heads but cant remember how big! Back in a min, hoping they werent too big cos i had tiny tear with dd and nothing with ds so doesnt say much for me if they were huge

CaptainDippy · 29/03/2007 20:03

Bumble - of course it skips generations ...

Off out for the evening () See you all later ....

Behave yourselves (esp you Ellie )

I'll give any news I recieve on Ooooogs on my return - so you'll just have to wait in suspenders til then!!

Pesha · 29/03/2007 20:17

Well thats interesting. In one part of ds' book it says his head was 37cm at birth, another part says 36 and theres no length measurement. And in dds book says her length was 52cm at birth but no head measurement I have got it written down somewhere properly and Ive still got the little tags they write it all in the hospital and tie on the cot but dont know where they are!

And CD 42cm???? Really thats way off the charts!!!

Eddas · 29/03/2007 20:49

I thought dd's head was big at 36cm(had to check book, didn't just remember!) at the 42cms CD, wow and ouch!

Sorry to report, for you CD not me, that since the clock change dd has been better. She was waking at 6.30, ever since ml, typically, but after sat has woken after 7am every day. I know it's not much but yesterday it was nearly 8 and it makes such a difference.

She didn't go to sleep when she was put to bed last night as i checked on her at 8, bedtime is 7, and she was still awake. But love her heart she was just laying there nice and quietly. She said she'd been sick in the toilet, i know she hadn't been out of her room, and then stroke me mummy!!! Bless.

Eddas · 29/03/2007 21:21

Is there anybody there

bEllieK · 29/03/2007 21:28

Eddas · 29/03/2007 21:35

bEllieK · 29/03/2007 22:02

Pesha · 29/03/2007 22:07

nuttygirl · 29/03/2007 22:18

Well i have a little head and I have a feeling DH does too so hopefully it won't be too bad for me!

Have sent DH for cookies I'm addicted.

Pesha · 29/03/2007 22:21

Dont remember anything about teenage pregnancys or anything, think im prob too far west, sorry.

Pinionsrus · 29/03/2007 22:23

Hi all luschious ladies. Yep its name change time again, thought I'd revert to bellies alphabet theory in order to speed things up, or maybe just leave due date as it is?

Pesha its mad some of the things they come out with, mine has in stitches some of the time. And its all questions like why is this, and why is this, bless!

Cd the clocks change certainly does mess with their body clock although its made it better for us. Just b4 they changed cd was waking up between 6 and 6.15 but will now happily stay in bed till approx 7.30 so quite good really. Just try to end your day/keep the up at least an hour later at night if poss and no daytime sleeps (depending on age of course). Someone mentioned black out blinds, I've been thinking of getting some but the house might look a bit strange from the outside with black windows?

Bellie stupid question but does your mum live in Swindon, thats a bit far from you is it or am I wrong?

Pinionsrus · 29/03/2007 22:24

Nutty what sort of cookies are we talking here?
