I got my screening test results back... 1-1,500 for Downs. It says low risk but I'm concerned. Anyone have similar results?

13w plus 2. I'm 33 so going by the chart I guess it looks okay? Thank you, I just worry I think!

Would definitely say that's good! It does seem scarier seeing it written like that though. I think I would prefer just to see low risk and not get any more detail.

I was offered it today. Declined it. If the baby is born with downs then I'm not bothered it will loved the same weather it has or hasn't got downs!! Xxx

I agree @Ruthcarr1990 but I have 3 other children so would like to be as prepared as possible.

I declined with my son because he was my first but I had it done this time.

I agree with you both Ruth and Hotpink, if our baby has downs it won't make a difference to us. I do wonder if we would be more prepared if we knew, but for us the idea of waiting for test results was more stresfull than not having the tests. We don't have younger children to think about though so maybe it would be different if we did. Ds will be 16 and will be able to adjust more easily than a younger child. I just wondered if I was the only one who hadn't had tests, wasn't judging as it's absolutely personal choice for everyone x

I had the test for Down's syndrome with the thinking that I would rather be prepared than not know until later on

This afternoon had an extremely tight tummy - felt really hard to touch - it wasn't particularly uncomfortable but was definitely noticeable. Admittedly have had a long day on my feet as been out on a trip with my class and it did seem to go back to normal after my drive home - is that normal? Thinking my body was just telling me to sit down but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced it :/

I feel so poorly today! Only eaten a couple of time outs and some whole meal pasta! The thought of food turns my stomach

Yeah me klaw I started getting it a few weeks ago and could only describe it as a tight filling across the whole of my stomach. I had Braxton hicks last pregnancy but thought it was too early for that an I don't think it is that now. I think it's like you said when I've been too active, like yesterday at work I was bending over and picking things up off the floor all day and last night I had the tight feeling. So it comes and goes an I don't think it's anything to worry too much about but definitely listen to your body and if you think you need to take it easier then try to make sure you do.

I had a lie down when I got home (I say a lie down - I ended up falling asleep for 2 hours 😂) and am feeling much better!

It's so hard not to question everything in first pregnancy - I did manage to stay off of google this time though!

Managed to cut myself on hay a few mins ago! I mean how the hell do you do that?! 😂🙈

So after weeks of actually wondering if anything is actually in there we had our scan today...and there is most definitely something in there. A very lively something! Had a student midwife and midwife so got to spend extra long looking at baby also it kept moving so much it took a while for them to get measurement and then it decided to curl up in the corner!

I've woke up with the worst pain in my hips can't walk properly!! Don't want to start popping pills at the doctors now to see what they say. Xxx

Been given co codamol!! Told him well there's no point doing me a prescription I won't take them don't want to affect the Bean. Booked my 16 week midwife appointment!! Exciting!! Now can start enjoying things. Rocking my maternity pants now. Xxx
