Hello all :) so just found out I am pregnant again :) had an early miscarriage in January and fallen on again, which is amazing. I am very anxious this time around and don't want to get too excited, but can't help myself. I also found being on here last time was actually a great help when it was taken away from me as people are so kind and it helps to talk, so if it does happen again I am in the right place xx anyway happy times now :) eeeeeek. Anymore early Decembers.
If there is already a group tell me and I can join that. X

I have the most exciting news. I am going to have the most FABULOUS birth Grin

MIL has decided to book a two month cruise surrounding my due date, and SIL has decided to move to Canada. I don't even care if I sound horrible, they're both vile and it's a few weeks less or having to put up with them both Grin

ChocolateRaisin · 09/04/2017 09:18

Morning everyone!

I'm 5+1 today and feeling ok but a bit tired. Had horrible upset tum yesterday which I'm hoping has gone now...

Congrats to the newcomers!

Tux I had very strong positives by the time I was 4+3, test line stronger than the control line so don't worry too much!

I'm avoiding people and social situations where I would usually drink at the moment. I'm also normally the first to open the prosecco! We have a dinner party at a friends house next Saturday, I think I'll pretend I have dog training all day the next day so not drinking...

I've also got a wedding when I'm just over 10 weeks, but we are away for the wedding for just under a week, as it is a destination wedding, so people will definitely realise I'm not drinking. I'm a bridesmaid as well. I've got an early scan booked for 7+5 so we can tell close family. If all is ok, would it be ott to get another one done 2 weeks later so we can just tell friends that may notice I'm not drinking? If someone asked me outright if I was pregnant I couldn't lie, I'd be too frightened of jinxing things. Not sure what to do...

Chamonix1 · 09/04/2017 09:22

Oh Zabe. That sounds amazing. I'm desperately hoping mine will go away but I doubt they will do close the Xmas Sad

Chamonix1 · 09/04/2017 09:23

Chocolate.
I'd have as many scans as you like!
Think it makes sense to have 1 at 10 weeks so you can feel comfortable telling those who notice!

looby1304 · 09/04/2017 09:46

zabe that's amazing, how lucky are you! We haven't even told parents yet and I'm already dreading the interfering and competition to be favourite grandparent! Luckily both sets live an hour away from us so they'll be no popping round to see how we are...

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 10:02

Looby To be honest I wasn't planning on telling anyone until around 24 weeks! I don't see DH's family that often as they can never be bothered to visit, so if I change tact and don't bother driving to see them for a while I should be good!

Cham you never know! Though I'm sorry your stuck with such awful in laws too.

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 10:06

My MIL and SIL both declared a while ago they planned to live with us for a month after the baby was born Shock

Clearly they've decided I'm not providing them with children so they've decided to go away 😂

runthemileyourein · 09/04/2017 10:22

Just got a 3+ on a CBD at 5+3. Smile I have my (very early) booking in appointment tomorrow so at least I can go with confidence there's something there!

Loving all of your creative ideas for hiding the no drinking. I have a 2 night hen do when I'll be 10w and no drinking will be noticed. Any ideas??

Congratulations to all newcomers!!

BirdBrain85 · 09/04/2017 10:46

Love reading all these creative ideas! I'm meant to be out this weekend for a friend's birthday but the thought of squeezing into a tight little dress fills me with dread. I feel so sore and bloated ... my boobs, oh lord, I'm naturally small and now feel like I'm carrying around lead weights Blush I honestly feel like I want to buy maternity clothes already!!

Run please let us know how your booking appointment goes! I think it's nice yours is early as I feel like I've got to wait ages for mine.

Chocolate I feel the same as you, I sort of want people to know so I don't have to come up with excuses all the time but I'm frightened of saying too early. The end of May seems an awfully long way off, I'd get an extra scan too if you can. How do you arrange them? I'm getting one at my clinic and I'll be 7.5 weeks then, so might at least tell my boss after so I don't have to keep disappearing for mystery appointments.

goldielocks29 · 09/04/2017 10:54

Dinner with oh's family today, I'm driving as faking a hangover from last night. (Which won't be hard considering how nauseous I feel 🤢)

We have a family party in a few weeks and I definitely don't want to tell people early so I'm going to have to get my thinking cap on...I'm liking the idea of a vodka and coke!

Zabe although my outlaws in laws obvi don't know I preggo yet, my SIL has announced she's away for 3 weeks just after what would be my due date! She's such a bloody know it all so I'm chuffed she won't be around for the first few weeks (hopefully).

Hope everyone has a happy sunny Sunday! X

Annie1290 · 09/04/2017 13:56

Hi can I tentatively join please. Got my BFP yesterday (and this morning Hmm )and am now 4+3. Don't know why I tested as no symptoms other than I have been going to bed at 9 😂 And am normally a 11.30 girl!
I'm very nervous as had an unplanned ectopic a few years ago, so def going to ask for an early scan to check all is well and if refused book a private one. I'm paranoid today that I have tested too early and it will turn out to be a chemical!
Looking forward to chatting about it, as I'm desperate to tell anyone and DH is refusing til after a scan! Having to drop hints at work though as can have to lift heavy things and want to give them a reason instead of looking like a wuss!

TipTop333 · 09/04/2017 14:11

Congrats Annie! Sorry to hear about the ectopic, I can understand the nerves. Here to chat away with you!

amazingrobot · 09/04/2017 16:06

Welcome Annie and congratulations. Fingers crossed for you that this time works out - I'm sure you feel pretty anxious about it all. It's such a roller coaster. Loving strong lines and food chat Smile.

Your resident poas bore would like to update. I've stepped away from the digi but have just done a furtive frer in the station toilets Blush. I haven't been to the toilet since about 9 this am but couldn't waste the concentration by going now and waiting til I got home to test.

I'm spotting pink (anyone else?) but have been all along. Very relieved to see nice line progression finally. I'm 16dpo. Saving the digi for 18.

Annie1290 · 09/04/2017 16:29

amazing I might have to join you as a POAS addict. Just done a IC when I got home from work and think it's a bit darker even without FMU. Can see this being a daily occurrence til I run out of IC's in about 15 days 😂🙈

Thanks for the welcome girls.

When did you all phone your GP? From what I can remember they told me to phone when pg again and would be able to have an early scan because of prev ectopic but not sure if making that up Hmm do I need to book appt to go see them or ask them to phone back? Don't want to go if I don't have to!

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 16:42

Amazing Grin maybe your DP needs to take a leaf out of Ima's book and confiscate your cards to prevent test purchasing!

I'm spotting I guess, most likely having more blood than most though!

Annie you will definitely have the option of an early scan, from six weeks I'd imagine. Just because you'd be at a slightly higher risk of another ectopic. I'm sure you can just call them and ask for a referral to your local EPU for a scan/bloods/wee tests. Completely get wanting to avoid actually having to go to the GP Smile

TootsyBella84 · 09/04/2017 16:54

Congratulations Annie!
I would try contacting your EPU directly, I've had 2 mmc's in the past year so I called them up on Friday and they have booked me in for a scan at 7 weeks.
I'm trying to avoid the Dr's and midwife until I'm sure everything is okay.
I had some brown spotting yesterday but seems to have gone now, so paranoid about something going wrong!
I ordered some digital tests today, just can't help myself!
Hope everyone else is doing okay x

amazingrobot · 09/04/2017 17:09

The thing is zabe, I haven't told my dh yet. He's fabulous and and adores our kids but we have had an ongoing discussion about whether to have another or not for 2 years. He wasn't keen but said that my happiness is paramount - we dtd unprotected once and this happens Shock. After we dtd I expressed my gratitude that we were going for it and he said, "one swallow does not make a summer". I guess it does Wink.

Anyway, I feel he may be ambivalent and so am worried about telling him until I know it's ok. I know I have to though and he has reassured me that he would adore a 4th if it arrived.

Any advice on how to break the news? I keep nipping off for secret poas sessions and we are

amazingrobot · 09/04/2017 17:09

Sorry - posted too soon. We are on a family weekend away. All v awkward.

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 17:32

The oh Amazing you should've said! I do think you need to tell him soon. If must be awful having to hide the evidence of tests Sad

I think tell him as soon as you get home from your weekend away. I can imagine it'll be hard to get him on his own at the moment! I'd just show him the test, hopefully after three kids he knows what a positive test looks like! I can't really advise on how to tell him, I just sort of casually mentioned it to DH and that was it!

Just think the sooner you tell him the sooner you can start enjoying this pregnancy together Smile

amazingrobot · 09/04/2017 17:45

I may have convinced myself (and him a bit) that I am in perimenopause at 38 Blush. To be fair, my periods have become so much lighter and shorter in the last few years and my gp did suggest it may have been possible.

I have longed for this for 2 years and feel so lucky, and whilst I know you are right and I should tell him, part of me worries that if it doesn't progress he will have had a lightbulb moment that he actually doesn't want one.

Yes it has been a strain - particularly when the dc are rooting around in my bag Shock.

Thanks for advice. It's sound.

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 18:11

Amazing irregardless it'll be fine! I think he'll surprise you. I think if anything you've probably convinced him it isn't likely to happen so he's probably downplaying his expectations. You know, not wanting to be dissapointed Smile let us all know how it goes!

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 18:12

Imsuch how're you holding up today? I hope you had a lovely meal out Smile

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 18:48

Ohhhh Grin I HAVE ANOTHER NOSEY QUESTION!

How old is everyone? If you don't mind me asking Smile

I'm 24.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 09/04/2017 18:58

31 in 10 days 😭

how are you zabe when is next scan? Any reassurance yet?

BirdBrain85 · 09/04/2017 19:08

I'm already 31 squirrel Sad 32 in December right around when this little one is due!
