Hello all :) so just found out I am pregnant again :) had an early miscarriage in January and fallen on again, which is amazing. I am very anxious this time around and don't want to get too excited, but can't help myself. I also found being on here last time was actually a great help when it was taken away from me as people are so kind and it helps to talk, so if it does happen again I am in the right place xx anyway happy times now :) eeeeeek. Anymore early Decembers.
If there is already a group tell me and I can join that. X

Hi everyone, can I tentatively join? I took 3(!) tests this weekend which are all very positive! EDD Dec 14th ish as going off 35 day cycle (I'm sure will change)

DH and I are very excited, our second cycle trying, came off pill in December. Took two morrisons tests last night, and this morning - both came up with the test line before the control line, and then a clearblue one said 3+ weeks, which I was a little surprised at! I was expecting 1-2 in all honestly.

I've had (or so I thought) two periods off the pill one which was January after a normal 28 day cycle, and second was early March where it was after a 35 day cycle, but was spotting with a medium flow dark blood (TMI, sorry) I got negatives end of Feb about a week before my period so assumed missed the boat Cycle 1...

I waited until after 35 days to test again, and have only had some tiredness, slightly sore boobs and a small bit of queasiness - I'm thinking I perhaps ovulated earlier which is why my tests are so strong which puts me at about 5 weeks - if my March period wasn't 'real' I'd be 10 weeks - surely I'd have noticed?! I certainly tested because I was late as opposed to symptoms!

Not sure what I'm asking - sorry for the long post! It's certainly been a whirwind 24hrs and I think I'm concerned that either I've not realised for so long or, after a stupid google that strong hormones indicate a multiple 😳

Chamonix1 · 08/04/2017 19:44

Tuxie congratulations !
You could be 10 weeks I guess! Why don't you call your doctor Monday and explain you are unsure of your dates etc. You don't want to wait 7 weeks for a scan and find out you're 17 weeks!
I'm 5.6 weeks and my lines are strong, posted one below Smile

Zaberwocky · 08/04/2017 19:48

Cham ohhhh. You need to get yourself some halloumi Grin lovely salty cheesey goodness!

Tuxie congratulations Smile I second calling your GP. Hopefully they'll arrange a scan so you have a better idea of the dates.

Zaberwocky · 08/04/2017 19:54

Dominos don't deliver here Angry I am FUMING. I've despatched DH to pizza express for a takeaway lasagne. Annoyingly that's closer than the nearest shop. And the gas engineer still hasn't shown up Angry I could blow up at any moment!

tuxie11 · 08/04/2017 19:54

Thank you Chamonix 😊
Is it unusual for people to not realise they are ten weeks along? I'm petite, so would have thought I'd have realised but perhaps not?! Funny how it goes from excitement to sudden worry?

I've heard the CB aren't that accurate but not sure it's common to get a 3+ if you aren't that far with hormones...

My lines deffo look like yours!

tuxie11 · 08/04/2017 19:56

thank you zaberwocky - enjoy your pizza - I'll deffo be calling GP on monday!

Chamonix1 · 08/04/2017 20:01

Tuxie
I have a friend who is a size 6-8 and can fit in children's clothes who didn't know she was pregnant until 16 weeks!
Not trying to scare you!
The clear blue's apparently can take a little longer to show your weeks pregnant yes, but if you're 5ish weeks I'd say 3+ sounds accurate. They say add 2 weeks on Smile also read somewhere on mumsnet can't remember where exactly!
Definitely worth calling the dr Monday !

Chamonix1 · 08/04/2017 20:02

Zabe I'm so sorry---- Flowers
I hope your DH arrives home swiftly with your meal!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 08/04/2017 20:04

@tuxie11 I am similar dates to you. Came off pill 26 Dec then got period 31 jan after 35 day cycle. Then had a 33 day cycle and got another period 5 march. I ovulated on 19th and got a positive on 29th and a strong positive on 31 march. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow.

tuxie11 · 08/04/2017 20:04

Thank you!

Thats what I read (and the instructions said!) which make sense - could also have been on a 28 day cycle not 35 like I assumed.
I'll call first thing on monday for sure. deffonotbrickingitaboutpotentialtwinsthough

thanks ladies x

Zaberwocky · 08/04/2017 20:09

Without wanting to scare your Tuxie my friend has no idea she was pregnant until she was six months! I also had a neighbor who was shocked when she gave birth, because she has no idea. I think she presumed it was the menopause! It's wort getting checked Smile and then you won't risk missing any key appointments.

And thanks Cham I'm not really at risk. The bloke who came out turned the gas off Grin this is the one irritating thing about military housing, having to wait weeks for a new oven, when if we rented privately AO would deliver one tomorrow! Is everyone having a good weekend?

tuxie11 · 08/04/2017 20:09

@GrumpySquirrel Oh wow, very similar! My first period was 26/1 and then my second was 2/3. I assumed I would be on 35 again, so estimated ovulation between 15-22 to cover the irregular cycle. Obviously chuffed it worked - leaning towards perhaps being out by a week but will get checked out

Millie2008 · 08/04/2017 21:13

Fox - yes! Horrid horrid UTI like feeling last night and this morning. Was quite stressed about it. Have drunk lots of water and cranberry juice today and seem to be feeling quite a bit better this evening. Am really hoping this is a pregnancy symptom rather than UTI - have been quite crampy so it's hard to tell the difference...

Marie90 · 09/04/2017 07:11

Just spent the morning catching up on yesterday's convos...I spent the whole day enjoying the sun so missed a lot of the chat sorry!

Tuxie hi! I think we were on the same conception thread! Smile Huge huge congratulations! Have you made an appointment to check it all out with the doc yet? At least they can put your mind at ease and tell you if they think it's multiples or not!

Ive had my future sister & brother in law and their 18month old daughter over this weekend and had to get creative with the non drinking (I'm usually the first to crack open the prosecco)!
I made myself do drinks duty and poured shlur into a wine glass for myself whilst popping prosecco into hers Wink

I think i may have got away with it..
Anyone else had to let little white lies yet?

looby1304 · 09/04/2017 07:26

marie I've got to come up with lots of white lies this week as it's my birthday and have various things planned! The meal with my OH will obviously be fine, but my school friends are coming to stay and go out so I've got to come up with a reason for them! Like you I'd always be the first on the prosecco! If it was just a night out I'd get around t but they're staying over for 2 days!

Anyone got any clever ideas?

Chamonix1 · 09/04/2017 08:15

I massively failed at the white lies thing to my close friends now know.
Mainly because they just wouldn't accept I was driving "leave your car, I'll come and pick you up and drive you to it tomorrow!"
"Sleep here is fine!"
And then one of my friends said "she's not having another one?" As she misheard part of the convo and another said "yeah, you're pregnant aren't you Cham ha ha ha" to which I said a very unconvincing no.
Apparently I'd have never got away with it due to it being 2 months full of birthdays, christenings and weddings and they'd have noticed anyway. Must drink more often than I realise! Good luck ladies Grin

Chamonix1 · 09/04/2017 08:35

I'd also like to join the "idiots who've already bought things" group.
Got 0-3 and looks huge though. Tempted to swap to newborn!

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 08:37

This is the one occasion I'm grateful for not living near family and friends Grin no one has a bloody clue I'm not drinking.

We are however going home for the bank holiday, my excuse for not drinking will be that I don't want to ruin the long weekend with a hangover and I have to drive four hours on Monday!

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 08:39

Cham Grin YAY! Member number two! I also desperately want one of those! They're so cute and soft.

wasn't stroking them in John Lewis last month

glastogal · 09/04/2017 08:42

Morning folks - good luck to those of you having to keep secrets! I'm quite isolated from my friends at the mo, so keeping quiet is easy for me!! I haven't drunk in a long time though, due to my fitness regime (and TTC) and that had got me out of lots of things!!

In other news.. I wet myself overnight 😳😳 I still got up once to wee, but obviously missed the 2nd time! I really hope this isn't going to become a habit. How embarrassing!!

Marie90 · 09/04/2017 08:45

looby id definitely try to fool them with the switch of drinks ('vodka' and coke is another good one)! I reckon if I'd said anything like "I'm on antibiotics" then they would have guessed straight away!

cham haha well at least you don't have to pretend around them!! Were they excited for you??
Smile

Chamonix1 · 09/04/2017 08:47

Zabe. I stroke baby clothes all the time. I must look a total mad woman.
Oh Marie, that's unfortunate, of it makes you feel any better I was close to poohing the bed last night and only just got to the toilet, seem to have acquired some lovely diarrhoea.
Joys!

Zaberwocky · 09/04/2017 08:48

Oh glasto Sad nothing to be embarrassed about! I completely know what you mean though. I've lost track of how many times I get up for the loo in the night. It's worse than a UTI!

TipTop333 · 09/04/2017 08:56

Last weekend I got my husband to fetch me a beer from the fridge when my family were over but he filled his just finished beer can with water. It was a 'trendy' small beer can too so it wasn't just like I was swigging from a can of Tenant's Super or something (I normally strictly use a glass!) That was a clever one!

Struggling to keep on top of my symptoms with this cold. No idea if I am nauseous or not because I just feel like I have a massive hangover.

Glasto oh the joys of pregnancy!

tuxie11 · 09/04/2017 09:06

marie hi! We were - congratulations 😊 - I certainly didn't expect to catch so soon! Will call doc tomorrow AM and update isitbadiwouldhatetwins?!

You ladies are so creative - I don't drink so it's not a huge factor. We've told a close friend and our parents and everyone is over the moon. It's so very surreal tho! I seem to be getting off v light with symptoms - I need to pee a lot usually, some slight tummy cramps here and there and a lil bit of queasiness but other than that I wouldn't know!
