Due in just under a week with baby no1. Yellow bump. Hoping to start a thread with ladies at a similar stage so we can encourage each other in these last few days (hopefully not weeks!)

Looking forward to meeting this little one now. Hopefully not much longer!

I'm 38+1 today- was up with period pains all night which was a bit miserable.

Question about sweeps...do they hurt? I feel silly asking but internals really seem to hurt me so I'm wondering if it's worth taking if I'm offered one?

Hi. How was your second sweep, Jenny? Pat, apparently they can be painful if they manage to get through the cervix, but then they are more likely to be successful, so I will definitely be having one if baby doesn't make an appearance before my next appt next Monday.

Had to go in due to reduced movements a couple of days ago, which was a little scary, but everything was fine in the check and has been moving plenty since then so obviously just wanted to keep me on my toes!

Been getting loads of Braxton Hicks but they never seem to come to anything... Getting fed up with being pregnant now, I just want to meet my baby! Anyone else feeling the same?

I'd say the sweep was a sucess! I was already in early labour but I'm now sat cuddling my beautiful daughter

She was born on Tuesday morning at 4.30, weighing 7lb5

She's perfect!
