LOL Katy44!

Only a quick post as DD's are playing downstairs and I am sure the lack of screaming won't last for long!!

Oh emmymummy, your mum sounds unbelievable, you poor thing. My mum is psycho bitch evil witch queen of the highest degree, but she lives quite a way away and we never talk on the phone, so I get ignored most of time, which is fine by me. My mother is master of "blowing hot and cold", vey scary lady. She has seen my nearly 3 yr old DD about 4/5 times and my 18 month old DD about twice!! [hugs] to you honey - just don't believe any of the nasty things she says, it is your life and you live it how you see best!!

Right - best buzz before they start killing each other!!

nuttygirl · 25/10/2006 12:27

Hi, it's ages since I last posted although i have been keeping up with the goss!

Katy44 - My mum bought DH a book from bhs for £2.99, it was written like an instruction manual and was v funny...not much use but entertained him for a while!!!

I shouted at poor DH last night. He dropped 4 bits of our dinner set and smashed them . Think it was more the shock of them smashing (I nearly s**t myself!!!!) but I couldn't be mad at him when I saw his face. He looked just like a 5 year old boy who's about to cry cos he's spilt something and is gonna get told off....awww!!!I'm gonna make him an apple pie this afternoon to cheer him up!!! (It was just lucky he only smashed one plate cos I've got people coming round tonight and wouldn't have had enough plates otherwise!)

Sorry I haven't replied to ppl's posts but there's just too many to remember!!! Sorry!

weeonion · 25/10/2006 12:27

lol katy44 - that really made me laugh! i did share a flat with a crazy lady who refused to machine wash her smalls tho'. we'd come down to breakfast to see 2 pots a boiling - one with her knickers in bleach and the other with porridge! needless to say - we are not in contact to this day.

feeling v sorry for all of u with MS. really hope it ends soon! i havent had the tummy sick - more the emotions and for a while there i wasnt even sure who i was from 1 minute to the next. feel alot better now that the news is out and for the first time in my life i have told my mum that i do suffer from depression. always hid it from teh family as i didnt want them to worry and i was the big sis who helped them all out. she was great and really lovely. it is a relief not to have to hide the beans existence but i am sure all the texts every 1/2 hr to make sure i am resting will wear thin!

sitting at hoem with tummy bug , trying to do work but mumsnet is so addictive!!!

twinkle183 · 25/10/2006 12:47

Went off in a complete cleaning freazy yesterday and have already got ds baby stuff and started washing and cleaning it even though I know that I will have to wash it again nearer the time - I don't know whats going on!!! Never had this problem with ds... Is anyone else experiencing this????

I feel so sorry for dh blowing hot and cold at the mo' espcially in the bedroom department!! Apart from that and having the occassional nackered spell am all good!!! I hope everyones ms gets better soon..

Got my next scan date through, can't wait to find out what I am having!!!! Its the 23 November!!! Is anyone else going to find out what they are having???

Take care everyone

Tili · 25/10/2006 13:23

Hi everyone.

twinkle,I will be asking the sex of bubs as the suspense kills me (Im the kind of person who shakes, smells and asks a million questions if I get given a xmas present early)So waiting nine months is torture!

DD didnt want us to know she turned her back on us at the crucial moment so I had to wait till she was born.It was a lovely surprise I suppose but I need to know so this one had better let us see!!!

Having said that I had a feeling all through my last pg that I was having a girl.Friends and family kept changing their minds but I was adamant it was going to be a girl. This time I have a sneaking suspicion its a boy lets see if intuition proves me right.

Katy44 · 25/10/2006 13:25

"Im the kind of person who shakes, smells and asks a million questions if I get given a xmas present early"

Oh, shakes and smells the present! It took a couple of readings for me to get that! I get excited too, but surely that's an extreme reaction

I agree, my 20 week scan is in 4 weeks and I already can't wait in case I find out the sex.

Tili · 25/10/2006 13:31

LoL dont think I explained that one well enough!! .

Basically with me I am a sensible responsible 26 year old on the outside but inside beats the heart of a 6 year old !!!!!

Shoeshopper · 25/10/2006 13:52

Hi Sexonlegs - glad you finally got the result and that it's good! yes, mine was fine (at 40..ugh) and it was a HUGE relief because I don't know how I'd have handled anything else.

Greengirlforever - thanks for the reassurance about salad ...

had to buy new trousers yesterday ... just getting to wide for the others! (Not enjoyable).

Tili · 25/10/2006 14:18

forgot to say good news on your results sexonlegs xx

weeonion · 25/10/2006 14:20

LOL tili - i love that! not only do i do the whole shaking and smelling of pressies but if i have bought someone a pressie - i have to ask them " do you want to know what it is yet?". i think that is why my mum was so shocked at our news - she refused to believe that i wouldnt have said something beore now!!

Tili · 25/10/2006 14:26

Lol weeonion I do the same I get so excited over things like that I just get carried away !!

geordiemacminx · 25/10/2006 14:27

I gave dp his borthday presents the night before his birthday as I couldnt wait until the morning... its quite ridiculous really since I knew what was in all of them!!!! Its my birthday 4 days after xmas so just imagine how excited I get!!!

Will definatly be finding out what flavour the baby is, although I will be the last one on this thread to find out as I'm only 13+4!!

OP posts:
Tili · 25/10/2006 14:31

My dh has started to dislike christmas because of me I get up ridiculously early as I cant sleep for excitement!!

I even wake up dd to ask if she wants to get up so we can open our pressies

Im never going to change lol

weeonion · 25/10/2006 14:32

GMM - i think there might be someone later than you but that is no solace!!

i really want to know but we arent going to tell anyone else til this bean is bouncing out of me

...weird but when i talk about "it" i always say "he" whereas i attribute feminine to everything else eg my car is jessie, the kettle is molly, the bed is sasha .... (the list goes on!!

Katy44 · 25/10/2006 14:35

Tili, that's just reminded me, my mum used to do exactly the same waking me up at 5am to see if Santa had been...I was probably only 7 or 8, surely it should be the other way round!

weeonion · 25/10/2006 14:35

LOL - i LOVE xmas. i have never slept on xmas eve night and now me and wee sis sit up all night watching trashy girly movies (dirty dancing, pretty in pink, beaches) and watch for santa. (I'm 35, she's 21!!) our family tradition is to have breakfast together around 8.30am and then open pressies when we are all gathered together. I LOVE IT!!! cant wait til next year and this little one gets a santa vist

geordiemacminx · 25/10/2006 14:40

Weeonion you will have to tell us!!!!! Very about you calling your bed and kettle.....

OP posts:
Tili · 25/10/2006 14:50

Katy it probably should be the other way round but im never going to change so they will have to love me for it !!

Dh says that its my fault our dd can be a bit hyper as I do have a tendancy to rub my excitement onto her but its fun to jump up and down on the bed at 6am screaming "lets open our presents !!!" isnt it ?

Katy44 · 25/10/2006 14:54

I think I will be exactly the same when my bump's old enough. I already want to buy him/her a Christmas present (for this Christmas) even though I'll only be about 22 weeks pregnant!

doghouse · 25/10/2006 15:09

LOL at weeonion - you sound like me, I LOVE Christmas. Can't wait til Christmas 2007 with a LO to share it with!
Had blood test results today from hsopital 'low risk...no further tests required' Hurrah!
We have scan on 17 November ... will find out sex too but try and keep it to ourselves !
17+1

Katy44 · 25/10/2006 15:13

Sexonlegs · 25/10/2006 18:31

Doghouse, great news - you can now relax.
Thanks for all your messages ladies.
Love the chat about Christmas! I too am hopeless, and the number of times I have had to pretend to be surprised when I open something!!
Only 2 months to go now!! Until Christmas that is.
We are going to try and find out the sex this time. Need to know whether to flog dd's stuff (there is an entire wardrobe of stuff) or whether it can be used again.
I am pretty sure I will be having a boy though as I have felt v different this time around.
Geordie, I am 13 + 4 today as well, so birthing partners, although dd was a week late.
Anyway, hope everyone has had a good day.
FIL behaved himself and had nothing but praise for the extension and decoration, and he took us out to lunch!!
See you all later.
xx
