So title speaks for itself I guess if we all put down our location we could find a mid point. Also pop down your scan date so we can arrange for after everyone's had there's so :)

Alita - Reading, Berks - 19th June.

I was just wondering, Is this still gong ahead on the 27th? I am probably missing something as its my first time on the forum!!

Buddybub · 16/07/2014 14:49

answered my own question...missed page 3 d'oh!

MrsDowneyJunior · 18/07/2014 01:47

I'm still up for this if others are! Smile

bunnykitten · 18/07/2014 22:36

I'm still up for this too! Should we pick a time and a place?

Oklahoma · 19/07/2014 10:08

Do people want to meet for lunch or a coffee / ice cream. And are people bringing kids so does it need to be buggy friendly?

Alita7 · 19/07/2014 17:19

I agree, lunch or coffee, maybe somewhere that sells both so we can choose if we want to eat before hand. I don't know the place at all so only suggestion is somewhere close to and easy to find from the train station. shall we say 12.30/ 1?

Also is there anyone who knows the area who would pm their phone number in case I get lost?

OP posts:
Alita7 · 19/07/2014 17:20

Also I see no issue with others bringing kids but don't have any and won't bring step kids.

Venus2 · 20/07/2014 13:51

I'm still keen. Just let me know the time and place. Obviously someone who knows the area needs to make the call on this.

bunnykitten · 20/07/2014 21:55

Options seem to be Starbucks, Cafe Nero or the food court on the ground floor of the mall. If people want lunch or if there will be lots of buggies, the food court might be the best bet for space. Otherwise either of Starbucks or Cafe Nero - Starbucks has an upstairs so we could take over that!?!

bunnykitten · 20/07/2014 21:57

Ps - I'm happy to give directions once we've decided where we're meeting. And I can PM my number to whoever needs it!

Alita7 · 20/07/2014 22:28

Any of those are fine with me :) (I know I'm not being very helpful :p

Also I don't want to go up to any random pregnant women, how can we Identify each other?

OP posts:
MrsDowneyJunior · 21/07/2014 00:48

I would say the food court in the Peacocks because it's easy for parking and finding from the station, loads of space for buggies and my mobility scooter and plenty of choice for everyone for food. Smile

bunnykitten · 21/07/2014 12:27

Let's go for the food court then!

I have no idea about driving directions, but I can give walking directions a go!

If you are walking from the station you need the town centre exit (on platform one).
Head over the road right in front of you at the crossing.
There's a flower shop with a footpath to the left, go down the footpath to the end until you get to a pedestrianised area.
Turn left and keep walking until you see a covered walkway on the right. Go down the covered walkway (there's a Foxton's and a Starbucks on the left).
There's a mall entrance on the left by Starbucks, but don't go through there, you need to keep going forward down some steps into the main square.
There is a big mall entrance ahead and slightly to the left, I think there is a big Supadry next to it.
Go in that mall entrance and keep walking ahead until you get into the main part with the stairs, escalators and lifts.
Go to the ground floor, you have reached your destination!

It only takes 10 minutes from the station, these are quite detailed!

Shall we meet in the food court area next to Debenhams? It tends to be a bit quieter there plus if anyone gets spectacularly lost you can just ask for directions to Debenhams and head to the ground floor from there?

MrsDowneyJunior · 21/07/2014 14:42

Sounds good to me! Looking forward to it! Grin What time?

MrsDowneyJunior · 21/07/2014 14:43

Just saw 12.30/1. Groovy!

MrsDowneyJunior · 21/07/2014 15:26

In case I don't get back on before then I'm the fat bird who looks like I'm just too lazy to walk, destroying displays in shops on a mobility scooter, I'll use one of their hire ones on Sunday rather than faff about with mine and the car so not sure what colour it will be. I'm white, brown hair kinda long jaw length, grey eyes, 37 but look 27, with a general "I will cut you" disdain for life in general and all pedestrians at the moment. Grin

MrsDowneyJunior · 21/07/2014 15:27

And I have tattoos on my neck, hand, wrist & arm.

Alita7 · 21/07/2014 18:13

Ok so between 12.30 and 1 in the food court on Sunday?

I'm very short so look for a brunette, short pregnant woman, I'll be sure to wear something that isn't baggy so my bump is obvious :)

OP posts:
Elliekins · 21/07/2014 23:17

Hurray, I found you!
I'm 5'4", round, hot, clammy and irritable-looking, longish dark hair with a bump that had both the nurse and GP looking at me incredulously recently.
I will probably be a standard 10 mins late too!
See you Sunday!

bunnykitten · 22/07/2014 08:55

I'm 5'7 and brunette, who looks constantly stressed. I'll try to get there for 12.30 and I'll put something rainbow related on a couple of tables!

Alita7 · 22/07/2014 09:19

ooh maybe having something rainbow related on us would be a good idea!

OP posts:
Oklahoma · 23/07/2014 09:38

Are we aiming for 12h30 or 13h? Looking forward to it!

Oklahoma · 23/07/2014 09:39

Bunny just seen your post. I'll aim for 12h30 too then.

Alita7 · 23/07/2014 19:08

My train gets in at 12.15. I was thinking just turn up between whenever 12.30 and 1 as it gives more flexibility if there's train or traffic delays or if people get lost.

OP posts:
bunnykitten · 23/07/2014 20:07

I'm happy to get there for 12.30, I can keep myself entertained eating McFlurries while others show up...
