Actually feeling mostly human today though. Went and bought some cheapo new bras. I plan to be in bed by 9 at the latest though!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/05/2014 18:24

Just rounded off a lovely day by being sick in Morrisons car park. That chocolate shake was a bad idea. I do feel better now, though!

Martie1 · 13/05/2014 18:29

sasseh good on you and the belly dancing. Sod the miserable mw.

ots i hope your scan goes/went well- and same to all others who have concerns. Hopefully you will instead see a lovely little person on your scan to ease your woes.

10 weeks today I am!! Still no word of a scan date, ringing my gp tomorrow to query what the story is. But on the plus side, been feeling great for a quite a few days now bar saturday. Boobs are a like two hard lumps though.....attractive!

Just scoffed a bowl of healthy cherries swiftly followed by 3 notsohealthy maoam sweets. Im gonna be a great mum, i'll be stealing the kid's sweets ive such an addiction. lol

Rejjie · 13/05/2014 19:21

SassehMonsta Thank you so much for posting your idea; it really made me laugh out loud.

I'm mad about dogs and, having got my first one when I was two, have found every year of my adult life without one very hard. It's been impossible for us to have one until now as both my husband and I do shift work and I'm away a lot. Now I won't be going back to my job so I'm really tempted, once I'm at a later stage and everything is a bit more sure, to get one. My husband is quite concerned about getting a dog and then it feeling quite usurped and unhappy when the baby comes along. At the same time I don't want to wait a really long time as I think it's really important for children to be brought up with animals. Does anyone have much experience of babies and dogs? Any advice would be really welcome.

Ladylel · 13/05/2014 20:06

I went to docs I have a viral chest infection, nothing I can do except rest, take paracetoml and have lemon and honey warm drink for my tickly throat.
Rib cage hurts from the coughing along with my sore throat I now have :(
Didn't want to give me antibots or steroids for obvious reasons. Need to wait it out. Joys!

CatFaceCrayola · 13/05/2014 21:04

ladylel...poor you, that doesn't sound like fun at all :(

Tonights woe is that I already feel ENORMOUS! Proper chubby with a big old belly that I'm already struggling to disguise without arousing suspicion

mopsytop · 13/05/2014 21:12

Me too crayola... my bra suddenly doesn't fit at all and I have a big round belly. Ugh. Just look really podge Sad Sad Sad

Somersetgirl1990 · 13/05/2014 21:23

Sure I just posted but it's gone Hmm

Rejjie - I have no experience with babies and dogs but I do have an 8 month old rottweiler Grin I think as long as you walk them enough they're fine Smile what kind of dog are you thinking of getting? My dp wants another puppy already Confused I've told him i think 2 dogs under 18 months and a baby might be a tad too much!!

Just spilt orange juice on my mac Shock please somebody tell me it will be ok? I shook the carton (I'm trying to get rid of my horrid cold with vitamin c!) and the lid wasn't on properly Confused

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 13/05/2014 21:56

I have my scan on the 27th May (someone asked earlier). Had one at 8 weeks as had dating issues so I know there was a baby in there, I'm just scared there won't be any more, or there wont be a heartbeat.

I'm also terrified in general and keep breaking down very messily about how tired I am of feeling like shit, and that this is my life over...
:( I have no idea how I'm going to cope with a baby... me! with a bloody baby? HAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!!! :tears:

monkeybaby2 · 13/05/2014 22:12

Argh, I look so pregnant already, how the fuck am I going to keep this secret at work for another 3 weeks?! I know you 'pop' earlier with a second but this is completely ridiculous. Oh well, am going to keep stuffing my face with cake at work so they think I am just getting fat(ter).

Treaclepie19 · 13/05/2014 22:59

Oh no :( still having pain in my left side which I've had all day and put down to wind. Had discharge all day but now it's turned brown :(

Do I just ignore it and wait for my scan tomorrow?

oohdaddypig · 13/05/2014 23:03

Hi rejjie we got our puppy just before I found out I was pregnant. We chose a puppy because I was concerned sbout not knowing an older dog's history and having a young baby. I adore my dog and wouldn't be without him. But walking a dog when you are shattered and have a young baby is tricky at times IMHO. After baby number two, when I also had a toddler I just couldn't do it as it was too much. So I had the expense of a dog walker.

In terms of in the house, my dog is amazing. Wonderful with the DCs and really good company for me on the harder days.

So my experience is overall positive, provided you can get some dog walking help!

oohdaddypig · 13/05/2014 23:05

Sorry treacle crossed post. I think if pain is severe you are best to check with A and E? Xx

Treaclepie19 · 13/05/2014 23:12

Thanks oohdaddypig, it's hurting but I'd say like a strong wind pain. Comes and goes every few seconds.
I don't know what to do for the best. It's right down low on the left but then also moves sometimes. I'm reluctant to go to a&e as I often get wind pain. I don't know :(

natashaarr · 13/05/2014 23:57

treacle It might not be anything serious, if your in that much pain you should go straight to A&E. I had that in the lower left in December and it was an ectopic. But mine was really bad I had too! If it comes and goes it doesn't sound like an ectopic! If it gets worse before your scan I'd ring out of hours and you'll probably have to stay in hospital until your scan to keep an eye on you. I hope it goes ok tomorrow :)

monkeybaby2 · 14/05/2014 07:32

How are you doing today treacle? Any better?

SassehMonsta · 14/05/2014 07:36

Oh treacle I hope things calmed down overnight for you. Good luck with the scan today. And bighairy, I think we're all paranoid about that but things will be fine - think positive! Somerset your Mac will be fine but if it's not don't blame me lol!!

As for dogs and babies, not a clue. First dc and got lots to think about. We're soon getting a stair gate to put on what will be baby's room so he gets used to seeing us in a room but not being able to go into that room. Hopeful that by doing this really early on, he won't link it to the baby or think it's unusual. While we don't know his history (stray!) We have seen him and children and babies, as friends have been to stay and we've been on holiday with them etc. And he's fine with them, especially at the age when they drop food!

Woken up feeling rough again, can't bare the thought of eating. Going to get some ice lolly moulds and fill with ribena - love the stuff!

Hope you are doing ok treacle . Good luck with your scan.
Got my scan at 3. Feeling really nervous but excited too. The bleeding has pretty much stopped so I'm hoping that if it was anything sinister, it would be getting heavier by now? So hoping to see baby bean at the scan today.

7+2 (and feeling a lot more positive today)

Treaclepie19 · 14/05/2014 08:01

Thank you everyone. It did calm down so I managed to get some sleep on and off.
I don't know what to do about work today. I can't face going after my scan.

LittleSarah · 14/05/2014 08:05

Morning all.

Treacle - hope everything is alright!

And ots glad to hear you are feeling positive, good luck today.

I wish I could have a scan now. Despite feeling sick and tired this pregnancy just doesn't seem to feel real. Had a dream I was bleeding last night and am just so paranoid things have gone wrong without any obvious sign (as happened once before). Really want to be relaxed and positive but struggling.

Anyway, will try and buck up my attitude today!

LittleSarah · 14/05/2014 08:06

Oh, and whoever it was who said they were constantly freezing? I am really feeling the cold!

chillychicken · 14/05/2014 08:34

Constantly freezing here sarah

Still can't shake this cold and I'm waking up with bad headaches every day. Nausea seems to stay away until the evenings which isn't good for eating. I made some egg fried rice last night but only managed a few mouthfuls.

Still waiting for scan date - I saw midwife on 28th April - should I have had the appointment through by now? DH keeps telling me to call her but I don't want to bother her Blush

Hope everyone is feeling better today x

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 14/05/2014 09:25

Good luck Treacle. Hope your scan goes well and you feel able to face work afterwards.

The doctor is supposed to be callings at some point this morning with my blood test results, so I'm going to try to remember to ask when I'm likely to hear from the midwife/hospital. You bet I'll forget, though!

Threw up twice last night, once after work (in a car park, nice) and once when I got into bed. DH was lovely and ran off to fetch me a sandwich bag Grin I'll be taking the whole roll with me on the train today!

Hope everyone has a good day.
