I don't feel pregnant most of the time, I have a bump and can feel the baby moving sometimes when I'm sitting still but this is the magical second trimester; we're not supposed to feel pregnant! Don't worry; you'll feel pregnant again by the third! Grin
Magic he was only 1 day early (36+6) so I don't think there was a reason for it, just that for the normal range to be 37-42 weeks some have got to be at the 37 week mark. He was 8lb5oz so ready! I was wondering if that meant my babies might just cook quick or if I have just as much chance of going overdue as the next person. From mum2kiss's post it seems it is probably just random! I'll get everything ready a little early and do a test fill of the pool at 37 weeks then try to not expect him/her to come until October! Smile

Anyone getting leg cramps in the night? I've had them in my right leg the last 2-3 nights, a hard dull ache from my hip to my toes, thankfully they don't last long but hope they won't be too frequent!

Hello everyone, Can I join you all? I have only just discovered mumsnet, wish i had found it years ago!
I am expecting Dc2 Edd 13th October

Bumpforme2014 · 18/04/2014 12:23

Hi all, kirstiepops I had the worst cramp ever in my foot last night, never felt anything like it!

Thank god for bank holidays I feel ten times better when I'm not at work, getting up early, travelling on tube and being busy at work really is a nightmare for pregnancy. At weekends I don't even feel pregnant, at work I feel like death.

15 weeks now, energy is back to normal but had runs all week, my bowel condition flared up big time had few sleepless nights. One symptom leaves just for another to follow.

mum2kiss · 18/04/2014 12:47

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but you may as well get used to night cramps ladies! I think staying well hydrated can help to keep them at bay but from what I remember they were a pretty regular occurrence until dc1 was born! Just think of it as preparation for sleepness nights!

Kirstipops · 18/04/2014 14:06

My mum said drink a little glass of tonic water as the small amount of quinine helps, so I'll be trying that. God a gin in it would be lovely too though ;)

I hope you get some answers tak1ng. I have had the odd mild pain down there but not like being kicked, you poor thing.

Fedup other than the growing pains I've been getting in the general bump/hip/nether regions, I am sometimes a bit tired. I don't need to eat all the time even snacks can be smaller and I no longer feel exhausted. I have been able to do things without having a rest in between. It is quite freaky I must admit.

Welcome Missfruits!

Just wanted to share our nesting Smile we've lifted the naff bark in our (rented house's) garden, replaced it with turf so our little baby/child has somewhere to roll around that is natural. We've started growing some food so that he/she can learn about where food really comes from and can play with the lovely smell herb things. I realise we've a while to wait for him/her to benefit but we made need the practice on not killing green things Smile
I and we feel so different already and there's six months to go until the wee noise machine arrives hopefully.

ldt87 · 18/04/2014 18:01

For cramps try milk. I had them terribly with my first, they started again with my second and my midwife said calcium deficiency can cause them. I drank a pint of milk before bed every night and never had any more through my entire pregnancy xx

Kirstipops · 18/04/2014 19:53

Ooh good tip ldt thanks - tho for me it'd need to be hot chocolate as "straight" milk gives me the heave ho!

OP posts:
mum2kiss · 18/04/2014 22:05

Oooh ive never heard of that ldt. A pint is a lot before bed though! I'll be up peeing all night lol!

binkybunny · 18/04/2014 22:20

puppy sounds like you really have the nesting bug and it all sounds lovely! Can't wait to move next month so we can get baby ready Smile

Kirstipops · 18/04/2014 22:27

Aww puppy that all sounds lovely :)

OP posts:
ldt87 · 18/04/2014 22:40

I only drank a pint because I like it lol. I'm sure some smaller glasses in the day would do the trick! If I want to do something every day it has to be before bed or I forget xx

Grannyapple · 19/04/2014 06:33

For cramping, it's usually calcium & magnesium that help, so a mashed banana in a bowl with some milk before bed helps too.

Was feeling kinda not pregnant til I received my maternity clothes package from debenhams on Friday. DH & I had a rare child free night out so went to a posh restaurant for dinner. Wore one of my maternity dresses...oh my! Defo no hiding it now..here's a quick pic.

ExcitedCJ · 19/04/2014 15:59

Grannyapple you are a bad influence! I saw your picture this morning & went onto gap maternity & ordered some clothes! I'm in a right shopping mood now! Might order some other bits tonight.
STIGZ & mrsb you guys are also not good for me today, clearly I'm feeling impressionable, I am gagging for a nice glass of beer or a juicy red wine now! Wine

Captainmcgraw · 19/04/2014 16:25

Bank holiday and DD has caught the pox. Boo. Possibility of four restful and fun days out the window. Oh well at least that's fewer days we have to take off work.

fedupofrainydays · 19/04/2014 16:53

Well after a busy day yesterday and a horrible and very long day at work on Thursday I can safely say the extreme tiredness and also nausea is back today. Feel like I've got the worst hang over in the world. Off to bed at 8.30 tonight.

Friend have me some mat clothes yesterday. Some ace jeans from Asos included that are so comfy!! Bought a couple of tops from h&m and some leggings. Easy to get carried away but and trying to keep my credit cards away from the Internet!! I have stuff from my first preg that is on loan to various people and need to collect it back once their babies have arrived. Can't really remember what I had apart from one very nice French connection dress - worried that one won't come back!!!

TroubleAndFyfe · 19/04/2014 18:57

Hmm Bad luck captain hope she's better really soon and doesn't suffer too much!
The summer is going to be tough without booze. I was all please being pregnant this time of year and not having to do a booze free Christmas/new year but actually, summer will be worse!WineWineWine

Me23 · 19/04/2014 19:13
