Yeah I'm not missing hangovers that's for sure, but some nice red wine with dinner, or white wine, cold cider or beer on warm summery days will be hard missing out on! My friend was drinking prosecco last night in our garden and I swear I could smell it's melony appleyness from a few feet away haha!

Ah thank you for the lovely comments but is still a bit of a shock to feel/look this big at this stage, despite it being no 3 so I really shouldn't be surprised!

We've been car hunting today...test drove an s max. Was worried about size & it feeling like a bus but it was soo easy to drive. Just waiting in a decent deal to come up....one if the big things to do off the list then!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter w/e...sorry to hear about the pox (can't remember who). DS got it on my due date last summer with DD...thankfully his was a mild dose but not much fun.

tak1ngchances · 19/04/2014 21:06

I had a quarter glass of champagne as we were having smoked salmon canapés today. It went down lovely!

Me23 · 19/04/2014 21:10

granny I'm expecting dc3 aswell and have a similar sized bump to you! I look about 26 weeks not my 15!

Grannyapple · 19/04/2014 22:13

Ha ha yeah my SIL who's a mw joked that there must be more than one in there...had to disappoint her!

Yeah there's no way this'll be hidden next week when back at work so I may as well just embrace it!

cottonwool4brains · 19/04/2014 22:14

I can't seem to copy myself onto this list (I am on a mobile).
I will try and add myself later

Dc2 edd 15/10

Is anyone else still feeling rough? I feel worse than ever!

magichandles · 19/04/2014 22:18

I'm on DC3 and I'm measuring the same as I did at 21 weeks with DC2 already - I'm only 13 weeks!

I'm not worrying about booze much this time, much of the time I don't actually fancy it, but if I do I have a small glass of wine or half a lager but no more than 2 or 3 times a week, and most of the time less than that.

Loulou888 · 20/04/2014 07:42

I had to go shopping yesterday. Have seriously popped out and look more like 20 weeks! Dc3 too! Feel huge

TroubleAndFyfe · 20/04/2014 08:21

Same here magic but have had a few times when I do feel like it when I really want several - it's the sunshine! I didn't drink anything until the third trimester with DS but feel a bit differently this time.

ExcitedCJ · 20/04/2014 08:35

Aah, I'm not happy with my H (no D, as I'm mad with him)! Angry He told me my bump had really popped out & was I sure there wasn't another one in there, "you look like you could be carrying twins!" I feel like crying, only 14 weeks & freaked out about how big I might get & how insensitive he is! I tried to explain that his insensitive comment could take the shine off my expanding bump over the next months & he then started trying to explain that he didn't mean it like that! Men - fume. :(

binkybunny · 20/04/2014 09:01

CJ men just dont think sometimes. DH is trying to think twice before making any bump related comments!

Yesterday I realised just how hard growing a baby is when I tried climb a local mountain that we have done tons of time. I only made it half way before stopping to throw up and had to turn around. Today I fel like I have run a marathon I'm so sore. Think its time to readjust my summer hillwalking plans!

ohthegoats · 20/04/2014 09:13

Oh binky - I normally go on walking holidays up mountains in hot countries, for the last two weeks I was in Thailand and essentially lying down the whole time. I couldn't even do an hour up to a waterfall. Feel a bit pathetic really. Still, it was a great rest!

I can't believe you guys are looking so pregnant! I really don't look anything other than a bit of a fatty. Makes me a bit worried really. Having said that, I've been wearing beachy clothes for a fortnight, so should probably see what normal clothes feel like.

mum2kiss · 20/04/2014 09:14

excited that sounds like a compliment compared to some of the things my partner has said to me! Lol!

I'm worrying again about bump. Usually when I lay on my back in bed I can sort of feel my womb and a weighty sensation but today I can't...so I'm convinced something must be wrong...

my bump is also quite sizeable...baby number 2 for me. The upper part of my tummy never fully went back down so I think thats why it popped straight back out this time.

ohthegoats · 20/04/2014 09:14

binky - also, I've done some walking here, it's about sloooooooooowness. Really 'rubbish' slowness, but it gets you up hills.

ExcitedCJ · 20/04/2014 09:20

This is my 14 week bump that my husband thinks looks like twins. I didn't think it was that big with DC2?

binky your stamina comes back a bit later on in pg, I hill walk too & managed a big beast near home at 38+5 that I couldn't do at 16.

binkybunny · 20/04/2014 09:46

Thanks CJ that makes me feel better. I was having a bit of a tantrum yesterday Blush I wish my bump was as well formed as your. Mine is def more food than baby!

Ohthegoats we were going slow. I was overtaken by 6 and 60 year olds. I kept talking loudly about being pregnant I was so embarrased about looking so fat and unfit! Your beach holiday sounds amazing! I would give up trying to climb hills for 2 weeks on a beach. Think its just what I need but no chance this year.

mum2kiss · 20/04/2014 09:49

All this talk of mountain and hill climbing is making me sleepy! I can barely manage a flight of stairs!

excited give your hubby a slap. You do not look like you are carrying twins. You have a very near little bump :)

MundayCakes85 · 20/04/2014 10:58

My DH seems to also be pregnant and has developed quite a lovely "bump" as well! Also gets up in the night for wees and had headaches with me. Bless him.

Me23 · 20/04/2014 11:28

ohthegoats no need to worry, most women expecting their 1st don't get a bump until after 20 weeks. I see bumps every day at work and 1st time mums always worry about lack of bump at this stage.
Better start peeling some veg for roast.
Anyone else veggie on here? I'm starting to crave meat have been veggie since I was 12! Also I'm considering taking omega 3 fish oils this time as they hae such good benefits for baby and help with mood hopefully help with baby blues have had PND before don't want to go there again. I'm just feeling guilty about consuming fish though, have looked into veggie omega 3 and it isn't the same or as effective.

Captainmcgraw · 20/04/2014 12:06

me23 I'm veggie and have also been craving meat. I thought my iron levels might be low but they're not according to blood results. I haven't eaten meat since I was 5 so I can't bear the idea in reality but I have been eating a bit of fish to prevent the cravings. Somehow doesn't seem quite as bad....

TroubleAndFyfe · 20/04/2014 12:44

Yep, long term veggie here too, since I was 7. I took fish oil for a few weeks in my last pregnancy me23 but found it hard to remember to take it and it sort of petered out. I'm not going to this time. I think it sounds like a great idea for the PND and I think you can justify it, it's a tiny thing with lots of benefits and as you say the veggie one is not the same.

ohthegoats · 20/04/2014 13:12

I'm not a veggie, but my boyfriend is virtually vegan (also since childhood), and he does most of the cooking. I end up not really eating meat in his company most of the time, but since I got pregnant I'm all over the stuff. He's even buying me chicken.

Out of interest, if one of you is veggie and your partner is not, how do you feed your children? Veggie or not? I've asked this on the pregnancy board before, so you might have seen it before.

Me23 · 20/04/2014 14:16

When I had my 1st I started out giving her veggie food but by the time she was 14 months I started to allow her to eat mets as she was at childminders and she home cooked healthy food and it was easier that way, with my 2nd he had mets from weaning a I will let them make their own decision.

binkybunny · 20/04/2014 16:59

I'm the opposite. Always eaten meat but since about 9 weeks have not been able to! Still enjoying fish, although smoked salmon made me gag yesterday so no more of that. Trying to have lamb this evening but I have a feeling I'll just be having yorkshire puds potatoes and veg.

Apart from nut roasts do the veggies here have any suggestions for Sunday lunch?

me you said first timers dont normally show until 20 weeks. I'm 15+3 and have rather a large bump. Am I going to give birth to a huge baby or do you think its prob more of a food bump? A friend has just commented on it then said she had to be induced a week early as her baby was so large!

Me23 · 20/04/2014 17:08

Tbh binky mine is probably more food bump than baby bump right now haven't been watching what I eat as in the 1st trimester was only craving carbs and sweets!
I really wouldn't worry if I were you, I'm sure things will even out it's too early to say if baby will be a big birth weight yet. Nature (usually) ensures we grow the right size baby for us.

Can anyone recommend family friendly areas in outer London Surrey or anywhere else? We have decided we are fed up of Central London and with 3 kids really could do with a nice size garden and quieter surroundings.
