Oh and I can finally feel my uterus at 16 wks rather than 12!!

Kirstipops · 25/04/2014 17:00

I'm still kinda off chocolate, no particular cravings but when I decide I want something I really want it! I had almost a whole packet of Rowntrees sour Randoms for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it felt like Christmas! Even as I type this on the bus on my way home I can smell someone's chippie and I'm tempted to rugby tackle them in the aisle for it! Steak for dinner tonight tho, hopefully that'll satisfy me!

I just want cheese. And more cheese. I made a 2 hour round trip to a 'normal' supermarket the other day to buy a block of cheddar. Shame they didn't sell any normal maternity underwear. I would kill someone right now for a bag of real chips.

fedup, I still can't feel my uterus at 17 weeks! The doctor keeps showing me by ramming a fist into my abdomen, but when I try myself I can't find it!

Also having a day of crazy hormones. I cried this morning because there was a dead insect in my kitchen. I couldn't stop thinking about its poor family. Absolutely ridiculous.

TroubleAndFyfe · 25/04/2014 18:44

Hahahahahahaha portico! Your insect tragedy really tickle me! Grin
I've never felt my uterus, tried lots of times but never felt it.

TroubleAndFyfe · 25/04/2014 18:44

*tickled

Bumpforme2014 · 25/04/2014 18:57

Glad to hear others are suffering with sickness after last weekend of 24 hour vomit session I had the same thing again last night with zero sleep. Felt awful today and off work again, poor DH is going on hols tomorrow with friends and now doesn't wanna go bless him.

I can't believe this is happening at almost 16 weeks, I'm terrified this will be my entire pregnancy - two good days then one bad day.

Loulou888 · 25/04/2014 19:01

It's scary bump certainly can't go on like this for another 25 weeks!

mum2kiss · 25/04/2014 19:10

frau my dd is 5.5yrs old. Today she hasn't mentioned it but I saw her staring at my tum when I got dressed this morning.

london im sure your friend was not trying to scare you...I remember spotting a heavily pregnant lady in gap when dd was a few weeks old and feeling like I really should stop her and let her know all that was about to happen! Lol! I guess it was all still quite fresh in my memory then and I was full of all the knowledge no one ever tells you beforehand!

Bumpforme2014 · 25/04/2014 19:23

Yes I am very scared, I have a very sore stomach full of wind and cramps which seems to bring it on. I also have a bowel condition which is flaring also so I'm having constant diahorrea I think maybe I should have gone to doctors but I feel better now.

fedupofrainydays · 25/04/2014 19:30

porcito I read your post as I was upstairs with DS whilst he had his bed time milk and now I'm down stairs stuffing my face with cheese and biscuits. Cheddar on Carter's melts is just amazing!!!

Sorry to hear some of you are still badly suffering with sickness. I still feel sick but not physically sick or as bad as first trimester. So I feel for you it must be really hard. Nausea stayed with me throughout my pregnancy with ds and I had vomiting in 3rd tri. They say all pregs are different tho so I'm hoping it doesn't make a come back.

10 times a day tho - you must be exhausted / feeling terrible. I really hope it eases soon.

Yeah it was only today when I had a lie down and prodded by belly that I could feel it. Hard bit above the bone (deffo not bone as too high for that!) much more pronounced if I need a wee as I think that pushes it up so explains that one.

Right... Have eaten all the cheese and biscuits. But just want more...

fedupofrainydays · 25/04/2014 19:31

I think the dr can prescribe anti sickness meds too if really suffering... So might be worth a chat.

ohthegoats · 25/04/2014 19:32

fedup - I've been fancying booze quite a bit. Managed to resist apart from a few sips of white wine out of boyfriend's glass, and a half pint of shandy the other night. I don't feel really precious about it though, so if I fancy some I'm going to have it.

The mini eggs have are unscathed due to the 4 packets of pickled onion flavoured 'aliens' crisps, and shed load of peanuts, which have NOT remained unscathed. It's junk food weekend apparently (yay!)

fedupofrainydays · 25/04/2014 19:35

goats based on my last preg my taste for booze will come back but it's usually a couple of sips and it's satisfied. I would go to a restaurant and order a really expensive glass of wine - well it was my only one so wouldn't be a cheap gross one, and then have a few sips and then didn't want any more! Could feel DH despairing but he was not in the position to complain!! Early in this preg I fancied beer so got into becks blue and Bavaria. And now my fridge is full of the stuff and I think I was sick soon after having one and now totally off them!!

ohthegoats · 25/04/2014 19:37

I can feel my uterus right up to my belly button - midwife yesterday agreed where I was prodding was right. It's very hard just above my pubic bone (and sticks out) - particularly after orgasm (TMI, sorry). I can't feel any movement yet though.

Loulou888 · 25/04/2014 19:38

I have too bump very windy painful tummy :( these lovely ladies suggested windeze after I had a terrible painful night with trapped wind. It seems to relieve if a little but so fed up with it all.

Doctors told me that I should be nearly there with symptoms improving and sent moon my way. It's not as bad as it was but it's still bad enough. :(

Loulou888 · 25/04/2014 19:39

Sorry meant me on

ohthegoats · 25/04/2014 19:41

I can't drink straight beer, urgh. Just the smell of it makes me heave. The shandy was a bitter one, but obviously just tasted of a sweet drink. White wine, yum. G&T, yum.

I've also done the expensive wine thing, but bf is happy to finish them for me. It's better though if I just have a few sips of his.

Loulou888 · 25/04/2014 19:43

goats I just fancy a nice long g&t I had one at my mums last weekend but only managed half before I no longer wanted it

Me23 · 25/04/2014 19:49

Craving pizza right now I've had to order some! Problem is I need it right now!
I'm generally feeling well still have the odd weak and dizzy day and have been suffering with headaches quite a bit.
V busy at work. Not getting much time to relax.
Last night I dreamt I had a scan and this baby was a boy. Myself and OH both think it is a boy.

ohthegoats · 25/04/2014 19:56

Craving pizza right now I've had to order some! Problem is I need it right now!

I was like that last night with a burger. Ended up walking for 30 minutes into town, stopping at each pub on the way to check for burgers on the menu. Within 15 minutes and 2 negative burger finds, I was getting anxious. BF tried to order a starter, to which I almost had palpitations. JUST GIVE ME THE MEAT DAMMIT.

Kirstipops · 25/04/2014 20:00

When I had my 16 week check the midwife showed her student how to feel the ridge of the uterus, she held the side of her palm horizontally a couple of inches below my belly button and gently pushed down. I haven't tried it myself though! My friend who is 16 weeks preg with dc2 felt her first movements today, oooh I'm jealous! I have felt something happening but still don't know whether I could separate it from normal wind/digestive system sensations!
God you've got me wanting cheese. I have some halloumi in the fridge....

binkybunny · 25/04/2014 20:33

Just had pizza for dinner with a small bit of last nights left over lasagne!

Tues night I had to have a prawn boona. I hate take out curry normally but it was the best thing ever!

My fav craving is buffalo mozzarella. Have bought one a few times and eaten it like an apple Blush

Me23 · 25/04/2014 20:35

Omg that was amazing! Could have easily had two. I'm still so tired can't stay up past ten these days. Another early night for me tonight. Have work tomorrow.
