Constipation? Perhaps you need a poo? Is very common problem in pregnancy. Have your ovaries calmed down now? Hopefully it is nothing connected to them and just sluggish system.

JethroTull · 27/03/2014 14:48

Dor that is luffly news Smile

Bugs I had lots of weird pains between 10-12 weeks. Called the midwife at one point because my bum hurt so much. She told me it was most likely muscles & stuff stretching.

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/03/2014 15:19

I got that kind of pain throughout pregnancy when I needed to poo, although i would get the pain a few hours before I knew I needed to go iyswim. It got worse throughout my pregnancy. Midwife said something about uterus squashing intestines

FrankelandFilly · 27/03/2014 16:20

I saw that thread in Childbirth too, you're right it's a shame so many people piled in to tell her how silly she was.

I'm a real worrier by nature (as I'm sure you've all noticed!) and the Lazy Daisy classes really helped me a) understand the process of birth and b) realise that whilst I can't control how it goes, there are things I can do to help my body. The big thing that worked for me was understanding how important oxygen is during labour so I really focused on the breathing exercises we'd been taught.

Congrats on the pink one Dor Grin

Grin at the poo related pain. Pleased it's all better now bugs. I've had bad ones on and off during pregnancy. Sometimes it's so hard it draws blood

Frank I am officially in love with the little E! I must befriend sinks too, cos I want to see the little grump man. How are you feeling today? How's merk? I cannot believe you've all laid...

I went to my first NCT class yesterday and was convinced I was the least far along of everyone, but it was just my shy bump. Someone at 26 weeks beat me hands down... The talk on birth made it a lot more real

I'm sorry bugs. Did you have to make the decision to have her put to sleep? Either way it is horrible and very upsetting for you. Big squishes and cake for you

Oh, bugs, it's just not fair :( Hugs to you and GP.

Lovely to see you, driz! Our first NCT class is the Monday after next - I'll be 29 weeks. It was advertised as for June-July due dates, so hopefully I'll be somewhere in the middle.

I'm so sorry bugs

CatsCantFlyFast · 28/03/2014 10:46

Frank- did your sore nipples feel better immediately you fixed the latch or did you have to persevere with them being sore as they healed. Also my baby's bum is broken and she hasn't pooed for 24 hours...what did they say when yours stopped going?

FrankelandFilly · 28/03/2014 11:02

Bugs I'm so sorry Sad, it's such a horrid decision to have to make. Hugs for you and GP.

Merks I'm still dealing with the same cracked nipple now. It's not half as bad as it was but the initial latch still stings, particularly if my boob is very full. I'm told nipples heal from the inside out so I'm hoping it's almost done!

On the poo issue E didn't poo for 5 days between day 6 and 11. No one was particularly bothered, but HWHNN and I took her to the GP anyway who said it can be normal for BF babies not to poo that often - breast milk is designed for the job, so there can be little waste product. I'm not sure what fixed things in the end but the lactation consultant did make a point of saying to make sure she drains the breast at each feed so she gets the fatty "hind milk" which helps digestion. Don't feel you have to swap boobs mid-feed: if she's happy on one leave her till she looks done. If she's still hungry she'll let you know and you can offer the other side.

CatsCantFlyFast · 28/03/2014 11:07

Thanks Frank
