Can't wait to see a picture, and hear what her name is!!! Flowers

musicalmrs · 27/03/2014 19:39

I was tearful too Dino! Can't wait to hear a name and see some pictures either :)

Purple, no house news today :( Our application has been flagged as urgent, and hopefully we'll hear tomorrow. If not, we may risk losing the house :(

On the deposit front, I'm trying to remember from last time. You have to have the funds with your solicitors for exchange, and they want them a little before that (so they're in their account ready for the day). I can't remember how far in advance that was last time though. In the case of ours, because it was the deposit and money for fees, it was over our transfer limit and had to be transferred over to them over three days - which was extra time to factor it in.

In terms of where the money comes from, they'll need to know that when you apply for the mortgage (or mortgage in principal). They'll want to know if it's savings, inheritance, gift from family (which requires extra paperwork) etc.

Sorry to detract from the excitement of Maybe's sneeze :)

PurpleWithaMysteryBun · 27/03/2014 19:44

Oh yes apologies if it distracts from the sneeze! I look foward to the details :)

Thanks Music :)

Munxx · 27/03/2014 19:45

Congrats !!!!!!!!!!!

musicalmrs · 27/03/2014 19:55

Are you thinking of buying soon then Purple? I know you had your eye on somewhere a while back... :)

For us, because of the way I work, it makes sense to try and move when on maternity leave, hence hurrying it up! (though if this one goes through we'll be moving a tad earlier than that, but better earlier than later!)

Fox82 · 27/03/2014 19:57

Ooooh and great scan news musical! Exciting day for the brookers! Grin

cartoontrickster · 27/03/2014 20:29

yay!! congratulations maybe. Thanks

PurpleWithaMysteryBun · 27/03/2014 21:22

music possibly... It is only a slight possibility really, looking at a 95% and they are really beastly to get and also other factors, I do have my eye in something though!

I had decided not to worry about it as actually we are very comfortable financially speaking paying the rent every month and not worrying about it. I just get irritated by the house. However I have hopefully plenty of years to buy a house given state retirement age!

Solars · 27/03/2014 21:37

Congratulations Maybe looking forward to birth story and pictures. It's been such a long journey for you to get her here, I really hope you're enjoying all those newborn snuggles!

Lovely to have the great scan news too musical. Hope the next 8 weeks fly by for you.

SweetieTime · 28/03/2014 15:47

eeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkk maybe congratulations lovely. I am so pleased for you and MrM. it has been a very long journey for you. Enjoy those new born snuggles. can't wait for the photos too xx

musicalmrs · 28/03/2014 19:19

Thanks for all the scan congratulations :) Still doesn't seem real though. Maybe it will after we've told family this weekend...

Currently a massive ball of stress though, as after a stressful couple of days it turns out we now can't formally go through the next stages of buying the house for another 10 days, due to errors made by one team. ARGH! Really afraid the developer will remarket and sell it in that time, even though the agreement says they can't :( On the plus side, I must say that I absolutely love our mortgage adviser. She's wonderful and clever and knows precisely what to do to get what we want! (I know this is her job, but still, she does it amazingly well!).

And breathe... sorry about the rant. Doesn't help that I've already had to give my students here notice, so if it falls through my income falls flat :(

Sorry to ruin the happy happy mood of Maybe's sneeze. Can't wait to hear more about it Grin

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 29/03/2014 07:36

5.38am IS NOT TIME TO GET UP!!!!!! Gaaah.

DM and DSDad are coming at 11 and the house is a shit tip. Why oh why did I not do any tidying last night? I have to:

Clean kitchen - fill dishwasher, clean surfaces, take rubbish out.
Tidy living room, picking up approx 9 billion toys and books, dust cursorily and hoover.

Clean bathroom x 2. Put out clean towels etc.

Hoover hall and spare room.

DH is having his lie-in so it's just me. He gets Saturday lie-ins and I get Sunday ones. I regret this every Saturday and love it every Sunday.

Musical, the house situation sounds v stressful. I hope your nice mortgage woman gets it all sorted out fast.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 29/03/2014 07:41

Ohhhhhhh. Naughty corner is not working because she won't stay in it. How come she sits in it for DH?

pommedeterre · 29/03/2014 08:57

Eeek too sounds a lot to do! Naughty corner doesn't work for us now as a takes h piggy and cuddles!

H's party this pm - village hall, 20 kids, fairy entertainer. Is it too late to cancel?! Have a zillion sarnies to make.

We have a stressful drain issue. Roots in the drains, backs up and stinks, worse in downstairs bathroom, kitchen and h's room. Insurance won't ok it without checking and not coming out in Tuesday which will make it two weeks of the house stinking like sh*te. Grrrr. It's not like we're applying for anything nice and new like new floors or something that would have a benefit other than cancelling out a horrible negative for us. Grrrr.

Hope your issues get fixed soon musical, that's a long delay for one error!!

ThedementedPenguin · 29/03/2014 09:25

Maybe congrats on baby girl. She is gorgeous and a beautiful name. I can't wait to hear your birth story. I'm so excited Smile

Musical great news about the scan. Happy healthy baby.

So yesterday I had my sweep, which has caused a lot of twinges and pains. Last night I went for reflexology (which is amazing) and this morning I've had a show. Fingers crossed baby is not too far behind. If nothing happens by Monday I'm going to try and get another sweep off midwife. Not sure if she will do it but I'm going to try my best.

pom hope the party goes well. It sounds amazing.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

musicalmrs · 29/03/2014 11:16

Eeeek Too that sounds busy - hope you've got through everything. Definitely too early to get up!

Pomme, brooking you survive the party Wink I'm sure it'll be fabulous!

Pen, brooking things get moving for you soon. When's your EDD again?

Maybe, hope you're in snuggly newborn heaven Smile And that all's going well!

House stuff continues to be stressful.. but this morning was much worse. DH doing something upstairs, and I was in the loo (as usual). Suddenly realised the door was open, and no sign of DD. She'd wandered down the road (in the middle of the road apparently) and then out of sight. Thankfully a lovely woman had picked her up and was trying to help her work out where she lived. She can't have been outside for more than a minute or two, but still so so horrible. No idea why the door wasn't locked (it normally is). Still shaking and feeling like the world's worst parent Sad Sad

musicalmrs · 29/03/2014 11:18

Ohhh missed the update Maybe. She's absolutely gorgeous, and a lovely name Smile

ThedementedPenguin · 29/03/2014 12:34

musical I'm due 05/04. So one week today. Fingers crossed it all happens around then.

How's everyone else?
