Just realised we're over halfway through this thread and no babies yet - I am amazed!

Nothing much else to report from me just glad it's almost the weekend so DH will be around to give me a bit of a rest. DS has a nasty cough so has been waking up between 5:15-5:45am hacking away all week which is a bit trying (although I do appreciate it could be a whole lot worse and maybe it's just preparing me for the sleep disruption to come!) My Ikea delivery came yesterday so we now have all of the flat-packed furniture we need to turn the spare room into DS' new room. Plan is to give it a lick of paint this weekend and then probably assemble the furniture next weekend if we don't get a chance to do it before then. I can't wait to get it all set up and hopefully move him across so I can reclaim the nursery for all things new baby!

Looking at getting cheap secondhand double buggy. Anyone had any experience of silver cross duo double twin? X

winterflowers · 10/01/2014 09:52

Hugs littleen we're thinking of you...

Am so glad someone mentioned the drooling as I am well and truly in that camp as well.

sunflowered can yiu ask what else they are monitoring? It would drive me nuts not to know and you havr the right ... but amazing they aren't delivering yet and bean gets some more time. Are they giving you steroids or anything?

Sorry for all of you not sleeping still. I managed from 2-6 last night solid and it was a revelation...tend to get my insomnia when I'm tryong to get to sleep though. Probably a good time to be practicing my rainbow relaxation etc. Must get on it!

I'd also push.for a 34 wks appt if I wasn't having one, just to get checked and be on safe side. But as sunflowered says pe is obvious so I wouldn't worry about that unless you have the symptoms

Julietee · 10/01/2014 10:29

Artistic Thanks! I have one of the V shaped pillows but haven't tried it for sleeping yet.

LAstnight Actually really glad someone else has experienced this! I'd hope for him to drop but I feel that would be something of a mixed blessing.

Winter I had an attractive line of dried drool from the corner of my mouth when I dragged down to DH thismorning. Sexeh.
You're right about P-E, thanks.

Also, my boobs have started aching on and off again.

Thingymajigs · 10/01/2014 10:37

I wish drooling was my only concern. I've recently discovered that the reason for my sleep issues is probably down to snoring. Blush I keep waking myself up with piggy grunts.

misskatamari · 10/01/2014 10:42

Don't worry thingy you're not alone - DH recorded me the other night and it was horrifying! I don't know how he sleeps next to me!

Definitely try the v pillow Julie - they're really good for keeping you comfortable propped up!

EeyoreIsh · 10/01/2014 11:55

thingy me tooBlush I apologised to DH for one last night and he hadn't heard it, I don't know how! Mind you, I've had years of his melodic snoring so I don't feel too guilty!

Just made my 38 and 40 week appointment. 40 week one is actually 40+1, which I really hope I don't need!

sunflowered · 10/01/2014 13:55

lovesto I think I'll be doing something about the lack of babies this afternoon... Off to theatre in an hour or so...

Sunflowered wow wow wow! I hope it is as peaceful and lovely an experience as all the ELCS I've read about over the past couple of weeks, and that right now you are just feeling the excitement of getting to meet your little one soon. Let us know how it goes as soon as you have a spare minute Thinking of you, Mr Sun and Mini-Sun Flowers

Littleen · 10/01/2014 14:24

Oh wow, good luck sunflowered ! Hope everything goes well, and please post a picture of baby on fb when you have the chance, so we get admire! :D

It's snowing suddenly here, I am so happy! Been waiting too long for it!

I posted this on the fb group, but figured to post it here for those not on it :)

Just to perhaps give some reassurance to those who have current breech babies; my MW said to me yesterday (34 week appt) that there's no point even checking until 36 weeks + as baby will move loads still... To prove her point, baby decided to move rather awkwardly in the night, and I woke up with him transverse across my stomach (could feel his whole back across me), then after my trip to the toilet, he curled up on one side for a bit, I could feel it so obviously, not had that before, before assuming a normal position once I laid down. Now it feels as head might be up, but not sure.. This was within 10 minutes though, shows how much they still move!

Thanks for all the hugs and support, warms my heart :) My mum was a lot more perky today, so perhaps it's not quite as grim a situation as thought the other day? Impossible to say, it changes day by day. However, I have now slightly renewed hope that she might stick around until baby comes! Got to stay positive!

winterflowers · 10/01/2014 14:26

Anyone else ready for a weekend? Just had two days with my four yr old and wondering how on earth I'll survive with him and a newborn. More scared this time than last. Ignorance was bliss!
