Missv, it's on your own feed, but nobody else can see it as it's secret.

So good to hear everyone's good news about heartbeats!

travispickles · 03/01/2014 19:23

Wow, all these scans! So much good news- it's really cheering. I am sooo tired today, and dreading term time starting on Monday. I have got quite accustomed to having a snooze on the sofa during the day!i am also due date 11/08 I think, although that may change after scan.

WeeJo08 · 03/01/2014 19:26

Hi everyone! So happy to see all the good scan news! Yay for heartbeats & correctly located wee beans! Grin Great way to start the weekend!

I have an absolute STINKER of a cold Confused Feeling really yuck, have really done b*gger all today! At least it's the weekend!

How is everyone's appetite? I find I fill up really quickly. Am also not really keen on meat, specifically red meat, which is REALLY weird for me!! Am actually just wanting healthy food like fruit & veggies. Weird, as usually I pounce on carbs & crisps like Katie Price on a photo opp. I'm sure this healthy phase will pass soon!! Wink

Hungry, I will PM you my name so I can join the FB page - it'll be lovely to put faces to names!

In other news, my daughter got her first shoes today from Clarks! Smile They're really cute & it was a fun experience, she was good when they measured her & they even take a little photo that you can keep Smile

Eeeeek! That's a long post - sorry!

Racal7 · 03/01/2014 19:44

I have the same with my nails April! They are really tough and hard to cut.

AprilS · 03/01/2014 19:54

WeeJo08 I'm off red meat too. Just got DH to buy me chicken as we only had red meat (and one massive bit of pork belly that turns my stomach every time I open the door) in the fridge. Really strange for me to.

Racal7 I'm thinking of taking an industrial sander to mine. ;)

WeeJo08 · 03/01/2014 20:04

April Usually I adore cocktail sausages & eat them by the shovelful at Christmas, but I'm just not interested this year - anytime I try one I end up regretting it as they taste yuck to me at the moment! Confused

onion19632 · 03/01/2014 20:10

Congrats to everyone who has had good news re scans. I am looking forward to my 12 weeks scan as I haven't seen the heartbeat yet. I was too early with my last scan, which was a shame. I guess it is positive that the Dr wasn't worried so didn't need me to come back, but having seen my DD's heartbeat during an early scan it meant I wasn't worried when I had my 12 week scan with her!

Today I have been exhausted and had a 2 hour nap at lunchtime! I am also starving but when I eat I feel so sick (doesn't stop me eating ridiculous amounts of food though, lol)

Feelingfatty · 03/01/2014 20:39

Great news to all those that had their early scans!! Great news! A week tomorrow until my early scan, I can't wait until mine I just want to know one way or another if things are going well!!! Driving myself crazy!!

mammabear4 · 03/01/2014 20:39

Hey guys just writing a quick message before an early night - just looking for a bit of comfort really because I'm getting myself very worked up and anxious, I posted earlier about a MC scare and had a scan yesterday morning and everything was fine, little heartbeat could be seen clearly on the screen etc, but just now I've been for a wee and there is quite a bit of blood in my knickers (sorry tmi) but nothing when I wiped... I know spotting etc is normal but I'm just so on edge :(

Feelingfatty · 03/01/2014 20:46

Oh Mamabear Hmm must be so hard, what did they say to you at scan? Was it at epu?

Feelingfatty · 03/01/2014 20:46

I mean what did they say about if you have another bleed?

mammabear4 · 03/01/2014 20:51

They said to not worry because everything was ok on the scan and that bleeding in early pregnancy was normal - still it's my first and I don't know how much is a normal amount etc and I wish that it would just stop completely, I think I'm going to be anxious whatever and I think the feeling of helplessness is the worst thing xx

mammabear4 · 03/01/2014 20:53

Oh and yes it was at the EPU!

Feelingfatty · 03/01/2014 20:59

Hmmm I don't know how much is normal either. This is my second and (thankfully) I've not experienced any bleeding or spotting but i did with my dd. I think my bleeding was different though as mine was a dark loss, almost like a mixture of discharge and old blood (tmi I know!!) I had it at around 6 weeks and then again at 13 weeks. To be honest I think if it were me I would ring again tomorrow and just talk it through, I'm sure all is fine but them saying that will put your mind at rest more?

mammabear4 · 03/01/2014 21:06

Thanks Feeling I think you're right I could do with having my mind put to rest really, if I could just ring and speak to someone that would be better than going in, I think if I went in again and they were like yeah... all is still fine since you came in the other day... I would end up feeling a bit stupid!

WeeJo08 · 03/01/2014 21:07

Hi Mammabear, hope you're okay - it any type of spotting/bleeding is scary. I've had some this time & I was terrified too. I am still knicker checking even after having (like you) a reassuring scan this week. I think it's only natural. When I was pregnant with DD, I didn't actually find out until I was 7 weeks, because I had enough bleeding that I presumed it was my period. And by enough I mean I used tampons (for about a week). It went from brown blood at the beginning to red blood & then back to brown, which continued on for another week. Sorry if this is too much information but it's just to give you an idea. The bleeding stopped at about 7 weeks & I didn't experience any more throughout my pregnancy. I think mine was explained as a combination of "you're just one of those women who experience this" and the fact that I've suffered from a cervical erosion in the past. DD was born early (but only 10 days) & is now 13 months & fast asleep upstairs.

I'm still worried because it happened this time too, but I wanted to give you details on what happened in my case.

Sorry for super long post!! Shock

Feelingfatty · 03/01/2014 21:18

Yeah give them a ring mama they won't mind at all!!! SmileSmileSmile Good luck and keep us posted ThanksThanks

mammabear4 · 03/01/2014 21:41

Thanks WeeJo :) it is reassuring to hear others have had similar experiences, I only have one friend who's been pregnant and she seemed to have a model pregnancy with no bleeding, sickness, cramps or anything whatsoever! So I feel like I really have no frame of reference! It seems we're all destined to worry at every unexpected twinge or bleed etc it's almost part of the process I suppose.. Thanks guys and I will definitely keep you all posted Feeling Thanks xxx

CakenTea · 03/01/2014 21:44

Hi everyone, just checking in, hope all is well- especially mamabear Thanks

I told work today as was feeling rough, even though only 9 weeks-ish. Only told two managers that I work for, not my team yet. Male manager asked if it was planned, I feigned mock-shock and told him it was inappropriate to ask! Was only joking but he came round and made a very serious and formal apology later on which was quite funny Smile Told him it really wasn't a problem, it was more that EVERYONE has asked this time which I don't remember from last time!!

Both really supportive though and appreciated the early notice which is good, plus don't need to act shady for my appointments now- I hardly ever get sick so they would definitely assume I was job hunting!

In other news, constantly starving and putting on pounds fast- knew it was inevitable but seems sooner and more rapid than expected!!! Eek!!!

FriendofDorothy · 03/01/2014 21:52

I had a lot of bleeding last time - so much so that I was convinced I was miscarrying.

I am absolutely paranoid that I will get bleeding again this time :(
