Its scary just not knowing isn't it... when is your scan Lucy? A week feels like a lifetime away for mine.

Missvaughan85 · 01/01/2014 13:25

Lucy I felt the same way at the weekend. Felt normal ish. Crampy. But today I've not got dressed. We were meant to take daughter to the cinema. They've gone without me as I have a headache and just feel rough on my feet.

Nulanoo · 01/01/2014 13:31

I feel like many of my symptoms have gone too and it's starting to panic me. Found a place to get a private scan for £75 so seriously thinking about paying for one. Hope you're all ok ladies

WeeJo08 · 01/01/2014 13:52

Feeling rough today Hmm (though it's reassuring at the same time!) We're over in my Mum & Dad's today & the car journey was yuck Confused Felt so sick. Is anyone else getting travel/car sick?

Rose My GP said if EPU isn't open, go to A&E who can also scan you...though I imagine it's different in every area!

HB3141 · 01/01/2014 13:53

Hi everyone, I'm new to all this and pregnant for the first time. I'm due late August so early days but am worrying heaps about anything and everything especially maintaining a sound and viable pregnancy. Be good to get some reassurance and to know I'm not alone. :-)

lucyfluff · 01/01/2014 13:54

My scan is next Friday, in a way I wish I booked sooner for peace of mind...will just have to wait it out.

Im sure we are all worrying over nothing, my mum tells me off for worrying so much!!!

Nulanoo · 01/01/2014 14:08

Are you having a private scan Lucy?

travispickles · 01/01/2014 14:13

Hi hb, welcome to thread. You are in good company, early pg is a worrying time. But a problem shared is a problem halved and all that. At least you can share concerns freely here, which you can't do in real life as much.

HungryHorace · 01/01/2014 14:13

Lucy, my DH keeps reminding me that I was like this last time with intermittent symptoms and DD is here so this baby will eventually be born too.

It's difficult to be rational when it's our bodies going through the pregnancy and on / off symptoms. Sigh.

HungryHorace · 01/01/2014 14:16

Antoinette, you will be fine. I'm sure many mums have to take their kids with them to appointments. I'm taking DD, though at 6 months she's not exactly needing to be kept still. Quiet is something else though. :-)

And hi HB.

Crisp, are you ok today? Any more brown blood?

RoseHoney · 01/01/2014 14:50

Think I'll wait and see how I am tomorrow. Just don't want to spend my sons birthday in a hospital Hmm

I'm having no bleeding and I remember doing this with both my other children, I panicked about the pains and had an early scan and all was fine! Think I'm just worrying over nothing.

Thank you for the advice though.

I hope all is well halfpint and your scan goes okay tomorrow

CountdownBegins · 01/01/2014 14:57

That's reassuring hungry- I think it's all this time off work- mind in overdrive!

I'm seeing my mum tomorrow Lucy- she'll probably tell me off do worrying too!

Hope everyone is enjoying the new year so far and welcome to the new mums to be xx

lucyfluff · 01/01/2014 15:34

Yes paying for a private one, its only £65 here so not too painful! I just cant wait till twelve weeks.

I really think it I hadnt had a loss I wouldnt be feeling like this....I am going to try and be positive posting now as Im probably depressing all the new mummies to be (sorry!!!). Multi-mums wet fish slap me if I carry on ok Wink

HungryHorace · 01/01/2014 15:38

I've not had a loss, Lucy, but I'm still neurotic! Worse than last time, even. Very irrational indeed. :-/

lucyfluff · 01/01/2014 16:39

We can hold hands hungry Grin

whatareyoueventalkingabout · 01/01/2014 17:02

Can anyone recommend anything to help me with tiredness. have been in tears today as am so tired. Retching at the thought of most food but OH made me an amazing iron rich salad earlier. Just tried to bath toddler and am back on the sofa in tears, where I have spent most of the day as I can't understand why so tired. I was tired last time but this is something else. unless I am lying down in a darkened room I feel sick.

Ruggle · 01/01/2014 17:08

The most disgusting taste in my mouth. No longer metallic...more like bath scum. Tried everything but only crystallised ginger seems to mask it...but not sure how mucj of it I can safely eat. Don't want to over do it with sugar. Any suggestions?

eeyore2911 · 01/01/2014 17:21

I'm tired too Sad 65 hours in 5 days on my feet at the hospital... Unfortunately can't go to bed as back to another night shift in an hour!!
Going to be interesting when these twins are bigger than limes as I already have a belly lol! I'm going to be a big exhausted hippo eek!!

RoseHoney · 01/01/2014 17:58

I'm the same with tiredness Hmm
I'm exhausted, I was never this tired with my other pregnancies.
Luckily my OH has been off work for 12 days over Xmas and New Years etc. So I've managed to have a nap most days but I can barely eat and constantly want to sleep, dreading him going back to work on Monday and I'll have a 2 year old and 4 year old to attend to aswell as school runs. Yuck lol.

Got such a busy week this week, sons birthday tomorrow, party on Saturday so got to make his massive cake on Friday. Then on Sunday, I'm travelling to London to photograph a old school friends 6 day old son (I'm a photographer).
I'm tired just thinking about it. Lol. Exciting week though Smile

travispickles · 01/01/2014 18:00

Oh no! It is terrible, the tiredness. I am dreading being back at work. The only thing that is keeping me going is the knowledge that at 12 wks last time I felt loads better. So am doing day by day til then (and praying that this one isn't different!). I figure if it gets terrible I will take a day off work as each day is different and it does get better!

stephie0611 · 01/01/2014 18:04

Weejo08 im the same im getting travel sick as well. Twice ive just made the journeys and had to run into the house and be sick. Yuck!!!

I done well I got home at 2.35am, didnt expect to last aslong.

mssleepyhead · 01/01/2014 18:22

I can't believe I'm jealous of sickness... Just spoke to my mum for the first time in a week and felt a little bit of a failure when admitting that, yes, I'm tired, but I'm kind of almost tired so I don't know if that's really a symptom. (I think I'm maybe a bit more tired than I should be given I'm on holiday, but certainly not as tired as others seem to be). I almost wonder if I'm actually pregnant at all! (squeezes boobs and winces for reassurance)

HungryHorace · 01/01/2014 18:29

I'm wiped out. So glad I extended my mat leave til March otherwise I'd have been going back tomorrow. Yikes!

I've not even managed to get dressed today. I still feel hideous. :-/

Poor DD hasn't had much attention from me today either. Thank god for DH being here.

Eeyore, how you're doing that job with twins I've no idea. Respect to you!

Shakshuka · 01/01/2014 18:29

Also struggling with exhaustion. i hate this! We're supposed to have a snowstorm tomorrow and I'm fixing my hopes on a snow day on Friday! Top temp will be -8 so don't fancy leaving the house at all,

allduffedup · 01/01/2014 18:31

Ditto missleepyhead. Boobs are bit sore but I almost wish the tiredness and morning sickness would kick in. Feeling a bit anxious today - DH and I had sex earlier, and there was a bit of pink spotting afterwards when I wiped (sorry TMI). Reading up in my pregnancy book it says it can happen because the cervix is more tender during pregnancy - really hope that's what it is. Plus I did another CB digi yesterday (at 5+6) and it said 3+ weeks, which is reassuring.
