Wow, DD is about 20lbs at 6 months!! Funny how your children have levelled out. :-)

Mssleepyhead, there's next to no chance of me making midnight!

mumtoacub · 31/12/2013 18:35

Not a chance here either

Missvaughan85 · 31/12/2013 18:37

Lucy I wish that we're true, I'm 8 1/2 stone pre pregnancy, smallish frame had a largish bump, daughter was 8lb 2oz and ran out of room, so her foot was bent out of shape when born, had to have some physio it's fine now. I always thought babies got bigger each pregnancy. I'm dreading a bigger baby. Lol. It's a bit late now. Lol

Missvaughan85 · 31/12/2013 18:41

babyspice2501 · 31/12/2013 18:52

Hi ladies, Happy NYE! Great news about the heartbeats on the scans x sorry to those with losses. All going ok at in-laws. DH being a star and saying were both off the caffeine. DS is being a devil child and screamed until 2130 last night, so that was a good enough excuse not to drink. We also ended up up with him from 2.30-4, he just won't sleep here! Anyway I had an afternoon nap- I'm sure the inlaws must have guessed, or just think I'm being lazy- as DH didn't nap!!! MIL did ask (early yesterday) if we'd "go down the pregnancy route again" when we were discussing her niece who had an early m/c then very sadly lost a baby at 21 weeks- I said we hoped to, maybe 2014 was the year. So didn't lie- sort of x have a good NYE everyone, and fingers crossed for a great 2014 xxx

Finnable · 31/12/2013 19:13

Horace - I was being scanned at exactly then. Thank you for thinking of me, Rose too! It really does mean a lot!

So... THERE'S A HEARTBEAT!!!!

Apparently I have a crazy heart-shaped womb, bean is safe in one half, and the other half is merrily bleeding away, and will probably continue to do so. I'm not going crazy, and there's a live bean clinging on in there.

The flicker was visible immediately, then the lady pushed a button, and we heard the thump thump thump. DH and I were in floods of tears.

Happy New Year everyone - 2014 is going to be a little exciting, I feel!

Feelingfatty · 31/12/2013 19:17

Filling in my notes (they like them to do them first!!) and just read about abortions, it's says if you've had an abortion and don't want anyone to know you can tell your midwife and have it written down elsewhere so will not be in your notes

Feelingfatty · 31/12/2013 19:18

Congrats Finn great news

mssleepyhead · 31/12/2013 19:25

Oh congratulations Finn! What a wonderful moment - happy new year! X

HungryHorace · 31/12/2013 19:26

That's excellent news, Finn! I'm so pleased for you.

Interesting re the heart shaped womb too. Have you booked in yet, as it'd be worth asking the midwife if that means anything re delivery etc.

Still...such good news!!

Missvaughan85 · 31/12/2013 19:29

Congrats Finn!!! That's fantastic, just think that womb is a lovable heart shape keeping your little bean wrapped up in love!!! I bet it was so amazing to see the heartbeat!!! A great way to see in the new year!!!

Oh girls I'm glad I'm not the only one still having niggly pains. I'm thinking lugging the chair and painting and wallpapering hasn't helped. Had a bit of oain when I had a wee. After I had finished and was still sat on the loo. Which felt strange x x x

lucyfluff · 31/12/2013 19:30

Yay fantastic news Finn Grin

HungryHorace · 31/12/2013 19:41

Oh yes, I'm niggly too with pains / aches.

I'm also super thirsty today and just feeling grim. Can't wait for bedtime!

CrispCraver · 31/12/2013 19:51

Congrats, Finn, great news!! I have a funky shaped womb too, caused issues with DD getting stuck late in PG and needing a c section which was tricky. Consultant was amazed I hadn't been referred earlier but it just washed over the midwives ears when I told them after a private scan.

I had brown CM today, but no pains. Am worried. Anyone else had the same?

RoseHoney · 31/12/2013 19:57

Yay!! Very pleased for you, Finn!!

Happy New Year to everyone, it's gonna be an exciting one Smile

I asked my 4 year old if he wanted another brother or maybe a sister next year, he thought for a moment and said 'I guess another brother would be okay' Grin I told him we would wait and see if we get another baby next year then (don't want to tell him yet because he will no doubt tell all his teachers lol) I guess I should hope baby is another boy haha.

Missvaughan85 · 31/12/2013 20:06

I'm in a pickle, no one knows about bfp apart from work colleague. So we have an early private scan on Sunday 9.39 and mw app at 2.30 same day. What do we do with dd?? Spoken to DH and have said to possibly tell her. As we will no doubt tell family the same weekend as my stomach can't lie. What do I do?? She's very clever and understands heaven and being poorly and sometimes doctors can't always help. She also knows what periods are for. Umm??

Feelingfatty · 31/12/2013 20:14

Miss v I don't think it's fair on yourselves to take dd. I'm sure all will be fine but if something was wrong you would have to try to hide your emotions for sake of dd and could make an awful situation 10x worse. Obviously you know yourselves/dd better then me though!!

Feelingfatty · 31/12/2013 20:14

Also can't believe you have mw on a Sunday!! Smile

Missvaughan85 · 31/12/2013 20:56

I know Sunday, she offered it and it's at home. Lol she actually remembered me too from nearly six/seven years ago. We've got a back up plan one of DH friends. Dd godfather. He's going to tell him and ask him tonight if he'll watch her for us x

travispickles · 31/12/2013 21:10

Happy new year you all. Can't believe that all being well this will be the year of expanding our families!! As well as our waistlines :-))

Feelingfatty · 31/12/2013 21:54

Ah that sounds like a good idea! Bet she'll love a day of attention from her god father! Gives you a bit more choice of when to tell people as well :) as I'm sure she'll be super excited and want to shout it from the roof! Nice midwife remembered you!!

So update on the pain I had yesterday, went away really quickly but has come back twice today, same place bottom of back right and side and both times I have been sat down for long time then got up. Pain goes away if I sit/crouch back down and goes away if I lie down. Doesn't feel pregnancy related as a really sharp pain/ache but only in back....almost like just pulled it again...any ideas??

sillymeagain · 31/12/2013 21:58

Finn....I had everything crossed you would be number 3. Fantastic news. ..isn't it the most amazing feeling. So happy for you. Here's to looking forward to 2014 with big smiles and growing bellies! !!
