Good luck today Finn.

Wow this thread moves on quick!! I have been feeling so tired, I've been going for a nap in the afternoon. And I seemed to have turned into a teenage version of myself as I'm covered in spots!

I told my dsis that has been trying for 2 1/2 years yesterday about pregnancy, I don't think she's very impressed. I feel bad but I really didn't do it on purpose.

ScottishShortbread · 31/12/2013 08:22

Hello all,
I'm finally joining this thread, after lurking for the last couple of weeks. I'm 9 weeks today and feeling more confident about this pregnancy. I had a miscarriage in the summer and I wanted to wait until I'd got to the point when I started bleeding last time, before posting.
Congratulations to everyone. My thought are with those who have had bleeding or a loss.

travispickles · 31/12/2013 08:33

Wow yes it moves quickly! Good luckfinn. Lots of people having early scans. I just know that I only have 4 weeks to organise my DDs 3rd bday and the scan is on her birthday so it will fly by! Any of you with 3 yr old or older girls got any ideas?? cheesy*, I don't think you should feel bad about your sister! It's hardly like you did it to spite her...

lucyfluff · 31/12/2013 09:00

Good luck today Finn :) let us know how you get on!

Just had a lovely 8.30am lay-in :) never happens!!!!!!

mssleepyhead · 31/12/2013 10:02

Good luck today Finn - I hope it's a great end to the year for you.

babyspice2501 · 31/12/2013 10:03

Morning girls! 5+1 today! My tummy is still growing and can only hide my bump in big baggy clothes. I have no idea how im going to disguise it when I wear my dress for a wedding on sat! Because of how big iam and how fast its growing im scared I might have a cyst as this has happened before... or maybe twins? Which I would love!

As for symptoms... bigger/sore boobs, peeing in night, getting constipated which hurts! :(

mssleepyhead · 31/12/2013 10:10

baby in week 4 and early in week 5 I was really bloated so it
Poked like a big bump, but that's gone down now I'm in week 6,so hopefully the same will happen for you in time for the wedding. Try and eat lots of fruit to get rid of the constipation, should help with the bloating too.

mssleepyhead · 31/12/2013 10:10

Poked?? Looked! Sorry : )

Feelingfatty · 31/12/2013 10:44

One word Bleugh :( anyone else finding the queasiness is worse when they have to get up god knows how many times to pee in the night?! Definitely when I feel my worse!!!

Hope you're all having a fabulous nye! I'm watching a movie while dh is upstairs sleeping as he had a rough night Confused yes I know you kept waking me up!!!! Have fun ladies!!

crazylady2013 · 31/12/2013 10:47

morning ladies Smile thought it is about time a joined the group seeing I'm 7+2 and I had my booking in session yesterday. It still doesn't feel real as I don't have any major symptoms (I'm sure MS will hit me). I think it will only feel real when I hear a heart beat and see the bean for the first time at 12wks.
For the records my details are due 17 Aug DC#1 age 35.
Hope everyone has a good last day of 2013.

HungryHorace · 31/12/2013 11:18

It's definitely worse when you're tired, Fatty.

I only get up after we've fed DD, thankfully. But she's quite a shouty baby when she's asleep, so we wake up quite a bit so I'm really tired most days.

I thought I'd dodged morning sickness today, but no such luck as it's just crept up on me instead.

Must eat some fruit now as I've not been too good at it so far. My diet is far worse when I'm not working as I are lots of fruit at lunch times then, and I don't now. Bad mummy!

babyspice2501 · 31/12/2013 11:20

Thanks sleepy! I hope it does go down. Ive put jeans on today and cant see it at all! I hope it stays that way ;)

HungryHorace · 31/12/2013 11:20

Oh and hi to crazylady!

Missvaughan85 · 31/12/2013 11:54

Rang dr today to check on midwife app. She hasn't been in. I thought of shouting down the phone Christmas has only been a couple of days. So frustrated as it will be that bit longer until scan!! Hoping she's sorts something out quickly!!!

lucyfluff · 31/12/2013 11:57

Im really bloated babyspice especially by the end of the day, I think some of my tummy pain is trapped wind too so Im trying to drink loads of water during the day and its helping a bit! I always have teeny bumps up until 6/7 months and then I will pop!!!

Welcome crazylady Grin join the madhouse!! x

Send me a virtual slap that should have said!

Feelingfatty · 31/12/2013 12:15

So....I'm glad I rang midwives today!! They said they had no idea what my doctor was talking about!!! I have my booking in appointment before like everyone else!! How strange!! So anyway they made me go down there pick up a booking in pack to fill in and booked me in for tues 14th I will be 8+4 by then and then they'll sort scan out for me!! Good job I rang to check!!! Smile

WeeJo08 · 31/12/2013 12:31

Hi ladies! It's lovely and sunny here at the moment (which is a nice change from howling winds & lashing rain!). Want to get out for a nice walk later. Back working again today (I am self employed) - quite nice to focus again! We've got friends coming round tonight so although I'm looking forward to it I know I'll be knackered...especially since it's NYE and you kinda have to stay up past midnight!! Confused I sound blo0dy miserable, don't I??! Grin

mssleepyhead · 31/12/2013 12:32

Oh pina I know what you mean : ) pregnancy has made me horribly self-centred. I'm at the end of one of the few weeks a year we come and stay with our in laws and my husband sees his family and all I can think is: I'm done! I want to go home!!

I'm sorry your thunder was stolen : ( but at least your baby will be due all on its own and you'll be able to enjoy the glory in August!

Finnable · 31/12/2013 12:35

Pina - I'm not sending you a slap, because I'm sure I'd be feeling exactly the same way. Just console yourself with the fact that she'll be all done and dusted and you've got lovely things to look forward to.

(My SiL announced her 2nd pregnancy at 12 weeks the day I started bleeding... Complete with sending round of scan pics etc. Cue much cursing in the Finnable household. It was bloody hard to be excited about that one at the time!)

Hi all

Happy 2014 everyone! It's hard to believe how much is going to happen this year!!!

I had a dr's appointment last night and she scanned me. Everything grew exactly as it should and the dates all match up - I'm now 8+5 and I'm starting to actually believe this is real.

My brother and SIL have been trying for a couple of years with no luck so I was a bit hesitant about telling them because it is such an emotive issue. Luckily they've found a reason why they've been having trouble and it's treatable so hopefully my baby-to-come will have cousins around his or her age to play with

The doctor also referred me for one of these new tests where they can see the foetal DNA fragments in the mother's blood which means that I won't have to do a CVS or amnio if it all comes back OK. Anyone else doing one of these tests?

pina and silly
so pleased to hear your good news!

ItchyBodCrane · 31/12/2013 14:33

hi guys. Sad to say I will be leaving you. Appointment at EPU today after persistent spotting and some heavier bleeding at the weekend showed empty sac. DH and I devastated as this was our first bfp after ages trying. Glad we found out after Christmas and before 12 week scan which would have been next week. Bloody shitty end/beginning of year though.

I have another appt next week and if my body has not got rid of it may be offered medical management. Really don't fancy facing the heavy bleeding so hopefully can go down that route.

Good luck to you all and I hope you all have happy and healthy outcomes.

miserywaterfall · 31/12/2013 14:37

Oh Itchy I am so sorry Sad Really hope you go on to have a lovely healthy baby soon xx
