Good luck with the scans everyone! Exciting Smile

DH is going to talk to MIL and give her a 'line' for if anyone else asks. He agrees that we just can't tell her anything else that we want kept secret in future, which makes us both really sad.

wispaxmas · 20/11/2013 11:25

Congrats, Gilly! I'm editing the list to reflect our new dates (I was pushed back a day, so you're actually two days ahead of me now!)

I figure rather than adding new people to the list we will now be editing out EDDs one by one as we get our scans! So exciting :)

Congratulations Gilly!

Mitchell2 · 20/11/2013 11:50

Congrats Gilly! How exciting.

vicky saw your news! that's excellent

MS has hit me bad today, at 10 weeks I though I'd gotten off lightly. Worst thing is that I have to travel again for work at be up at 4.30am for a stupid o'clock flight tomorrow. At least it's a short one to Europe so fingers crossed I will be feeling better. liquid my flight to the states wasn't too bad, but for long hauls I def would recommend being near a loo and eating before as with mild MS the plane food smelt gross and put me off eating!

Smile let's hope everyone has positive experiences and for those with MS it's near the finish line!

wispaxmas · 20/11/2013 12:04

Mitchell, I found the food disgusting when I travelled business on eurostar a few weeks ago, too. Really turned my stomach! I'd imagine place food would be the same. I'm not flying long haul until 16 weeks, but still plan to pack granola bars and other easy snacks!

wispaxmas · 20/11/2013 12:04

place=plane

carrie105 · 20/11/2013 12:16

Yay Gilly! So pleased all is well. Looking forward to the news from other scans today as well!

My due date stayed the same after my scan. I was surprised as I expected it to be pushed back a bit, but no, the sonographer said he/she sized at 11+6 on Monday so still 3rd June exactly what the Dr said. Thought my cycles were slightly longer. Good news as that pushes me closer to the second tri than I thought I would be!

Also, very surprised to get a 20 week scan date through today. 15th January. 8 weeks today, so a new countdown!

Penguin13 · 20/11/2013 12:44

Great news Gilly Smile

GillyBillyWilly · 20/11/2013 12:48

Only thing that was annoying is that they said to book my 20 week scan for 13th jan but the lady on the desk started telling me some story about how the computers won't let her book any scans for that week so I have to wait til 20th jan!
Ah well... Still was a lovely morning and so happy to see the baby wriggling around Smile

Great news on the scans everyone! So this is the first day for weeks I've felt normal, no morning sickness and not even as tired as usual, I'm 9+3, is that normal or should I be worried?

GillyBillyWilly · 20/11/2013 13:08

No idea if this will work....
Here's my scan picture Smile

LMF, I lost all sickness at 9wks, too. Just count yourself lucky! I do still get the odd twinge, but very rarely. Yesterday afternoon I was feeling ill, but turned out I hadn't had enough water and was a tad dehydrated.

With a MMC you can continue to have pg symptoms because the sac and placenta will still be producing hormones until your body realises it's no longer viable and starts the miscarriage process naturally. It's likely that people with mmc who report their morning sickness disappearing would have no longer had morning sickness even had the pregnancy continued. If you symptoms stop and you have cramping and bleeding, that would be when you would worry.

Lmf679 · 20/11/2013 13:53

thanks for the reassurance wispa. Just thought it was odd that this time last week I was on the sofa crying because nothing would get rid of the ms and now I feel ok. Fingers crossed everything is ok and I'm lucky the ms has decided to subside

Vickyvix · 20/11/2013 14:38

Ah lovely pic gilly :)

Liquidambar · 20/11/2013 15:04

lovely picture gilly Smile

can't wait to hear about the other scans.

giraffelegs · 20/11/2013 15:16

Hi all. I have been very bad at posting on here as been feeling rubbish with ms and general knackeredness. That seems to be improving but now I'm in bed with a horrible flu type thing, lovely. But I have been lurking in the meantime!

So congrats gilly and everyone else who's had a scan so far. And good luck for those coming up shortly. Mine is next Friday and it can't come quickly enough. The cheapest early scan near here was 85 and I decided I couldn't justify it.

Looking forward to seeing more pics of scans. Grin

CleverOl10 · 20/11/2013 15:52

Lovely pic Gilly.

Sat eating cheese and onion crisps, grapes and chocolate milkshake. Glad I'm not at work. Think that combination would just cry pregnant! Wink

Bezzabelle · 20/11/2013 15:54

Scan all good here too- moved forward to 31st may but going to stay with you guys if ok! Well done gilly!

AuntPittypat · 20/11/2013 16:13

Brilliant news Bezza and Gilly! And thanks for the photo Gilly, I love seeing them. So lovely!

I have my scan a week today... feeling more nervous the closer it gets. Have had absolutely no symptoms for a while now, and my tummy seems flatter than it did a few weeks ago... Although that could be because my appetite has returned to normal and I'm no longer just eating stodge every few hours! Anyway, am trying not to get my hopes up too much, just in case.

Sorry for all of you still feeling rubbish. Hope you start feeling better soon.

GillyBillyWilly · 20/11/2013 16:14

Well done bezza! Grin Haha

12 weeks today, woohoo! Scan on Monday, can't wait, it's been a long time coming. Going to have to take DD with us though so hope it won't be a problem, I know they ask you not to take older siblings along, but it can't be helped.
