Oh and vicky hope you were able to see the EPU and everything is ok

S1mmy · 18/11/2013 16:34

Hey everyone, hello hello s1mmy here,

Are you all well. Just catching up with you all and it all sounds a bit up and down. Lady, your boss sounds like a right winker! Grr!

Not sure if i told you all about my checking in but it was fine, the midwife was brief though and to this day, i am still unsure and not clear on things :( dont feel very preggers any more, apart from my very sore boobs and my expanding tummy. Yesterday i bought new jeans and had to go up one size :( blub.

Looking forward to my scan on the 28th and sharing with you all.

Ps. Thanks for whoever mention sleep bras. I got some for £6 from asda and they are comfy! Xx

Vickyvix · 18/11/2013 16:38

They still haven't called so i am still sat here in limbo. I'm really surprised I haven't heard anything, I've tried calling them and it's an impossible automated line which just cuts you off, I tried my maternity team and they shut down at 4pm. I've left a message with EPAU but am really gutted I now have to wait until tomorrow for any chance of a call and most likely a few days for any chance of a scan. Just want to curargo and cry and make tomorrow come quicker. If I can't call them I am not sure what else I can do but wait and hope :(

Vickyvix · 18/11/2013 16:39

Ps lady your boss sounds like an @rse! I am no good at HR but I hope somebody here can give you good advice

BEEwitched · 18/11/2013 17:22

I've been signed off 4 weeks and hope I get more time, I'm not doing great at all, stress and anxiety and high blood pressure all rolled together.

Someone from the private consultant just phoned to tell me to have a full bladder for my Nuchal scan on Thursday. Haven't filled the form in yet, it's in a moving box somewhere. ...

MTMD · 18/11/2013 17:55

My migraines are truly back. Unfortunately I'm not among the 60% migraineurs that feel better whilst pregnant :( Gutted and worried about having to take drugs... :(

superlambanana · 18/11/2013 18:00

Goodness it sounds like we're all going through rough patches at the moment!

Crossing fingers for you Vickyvix. Thanks while you wait. Is your dp around? (Sorry rubbish memory)

Thinking of everyone else - have read and digested but feeling too ill to type much!

Oh Vicky how horrible for you. I hope you hear something really early tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Lady I am absolutely fuming for you Angry. People like that should just not be allowed to manage others. I can't offer much practical help other than to say be careful to keep a record of conversations and dates in case you need them. Seriously what a *&€^

CleverOl10 · 18/11/2013 18:49

Sounds like a poor start to the week for lots of us Sad

Bad day here. Bad ms first thing and felt rotten all day. A colleague was off sick and I had to sort out all her work and kept getting (unfairly) annoyed as I felt so ill but had made it in. I haven't told anyone at work so have to put on a brave face. The kids were awful today and after a particularly tough lesson with a bunch of 16 year old brats I ended up hiding in my room in tears. Mainly hormones I'm sure but ended up crying down phone to DH as no one else knows. Sad

Will have to tell work soon. Not sure I can cut down my workload but at least people might be nicer!

jaykay987 · 18/11/2013 19:10

Vicky - that must be so frustrating. FX they'll call ou first thing tomorrow

superlambanana · 18/11/2013 19:18

Clever, as a former teacher I really do sympathise! I've no idea how I could have coped with my year 9s feeling even half as bad as this. Respect for you!!

I feel like a sicky, unkempt, unattractive mess Sad Can't even stand up long enough to shower!

littlepickly · 18/11/2013 19:30

Scan date came in the post today - yippee! Smile

3rd Dec at 8.15am bright and early!!

CleverOl10 · 18/11/2013 19:41

Hey pickly we're scan date buddies! Grin

S1mmy · 18/11/2013 19:49

Vicky, sending you positive thoughts! And a virtual hand hold x

Liquidambar · 18/11/2013 20:06

Vicky poor you. The wait is horrible. I hope you will manage to have a relaxed evening.

lady Shock and Angry at our boss! I hope someone can give you good advice on how to deal with it.

Clever it sounds you had a horrible day. You need a good cup of tea, a sofa and perhaps you could ask your DH to massage your feet.

wispax what a nightmare. I hope you'll be able to relax a little bit.

Mitchell how was your work trip? Did the flights go well? Glad you had a good scan :)

Hope everyone else will feel better soon from ms, headaches and lack of energy.

It was a long day at work. Came home and DS was complaining about a sore year. I can see a difficult night ahead. I'm relaxing in the sofa while I can.

Liquidambar · 18/11/2013 20:07

lady ours=yours (perhaps I am afraid mine will have the same reaction when I break the news)

MarlenaGru · 18/11/2013 20:21

Cake to all of us feeling miserable tonight.
Vicky how terrible to be kept in suspense like that Thanks

I have just had a massive strop with DH. After getting home at 7:45 he then throws a huff as I don't feel like eating downstairs as I am feeling miserable (have come home, done homework with DD, bathed her, put her to bed, sorted out the washing and folded it all and sorted out the disaster in the spare room and heated dinner. He doesn't want to have to clear up alone if we eat upstairs. Hmm I would love to see him do half of that feeling as shit as I do.

littlepickly · 18/11/2013 21:11

Yay Clever!! Can't wait! Smile

SicknSpan · 18/11/2013 21:32

Thanks S1mmy for updating the list! There are so many of us on the list now it's hard to keep track of who's MIA ;)

Another one here who is needing roomier trousers. I am feeling the strain on my leggings and find myself rolling them down in the evening, letting my already ruined tum just do whatever it wants. which is mostly glob about and be disgusting. waaah!

littlepickly · 18/11/2013 21:39

My maternity jeans from topshop arrived today - so so comfy!! I'm only 10+3 Smile
Don't think I'll go back now!

hackneybird · 18/11/2013 22:11

pickly I'm in mat jeans too, or leggings and jumper dresses. Any sort of pressure on my tummy makes me feel really nauseous. Or should I say more nauseous than normal.

lady I'm totally Shock at your boss. I second whoever said make notes of everything. What a t**t.

Penguin13 · 18/11/2013 22:20

Gilly I totally feel your pain on the scan wait. I can't offer much advice but just to let you know you're not the only one feeling that way. I'm just trying to focus on one day at a time. 4 more sleeps for us!

superlambanana · 18/11/2013 22:22

Hot chocolate!! I can drink hot chocolate and it doesn't make me feel sick!! This is very good Grin

I might try maternity jeans. I have no bump but can't stand jeans and even my leggings are inexplicably uncomfy. I have no idea why though! How can they if I have no bump?!

BEEwitched · 18/11/2013 23:17

Super, I get queasy if I lie in my tummy even for a moment, DH's having to be creative with his backrubs!

Which reminds me of an important point my midwife pointed out: always have the seatbelt under your bump just in case of jolts! I now do it automatically, in fact I get nauseous if the seat belt goes into its usual place.
