Another may the 4th baby here! Had first scan and baby wasn't cooperating and couldn't get any clear pictures apart from measuring its crown rump length so went and did the other booking in things, came back and got lots of clear pics and baby was waving lol

mumof2aimingfor4 · 22/10/2013 17:27

So sorry shanks thinking of you.

Welcome Sarah :)

impatientlywaiting · 22/10/2013 17:57

Congrats Flixy, Nanny and Sarah on the good news.

Dobe I think Nanny has a higher risk of miscarriage if she is carrying a boy due to a genetic condition? Is that right Nanny? Hence why the consultant will be arranging to find out the sex as soon as they can.

thistlelicker · 22/10/2013 18:03

I maybe have kidney stones!
Urine sample sent and back to gp next week

Vikks · 22/10/2013 18:10

So sorry Shanks Thanks x

moominleigh94 · 22/10/2013 18:14

We're getting dwarf hamsters tomorrow.

Is this a big mistake? (Please tell me it isn't, because I really want a pet. I miss my dog so much Sad )

Vikks · 22/10/2013 18:20

Welcome Sarah congratulations on the scan.

thistlelicker sounds awful, hang in there. Hopefully if it is kidney stones they'll sort it quickly.

Great news on other scans ladies!

I'm another one who can see the light at the end of the MS! Very mild today and functioning 'normal'! 10+4 and over the worst. Grin

AliOh · 22/10/2013 18:37

Hi everyone sorry been MIA for the last week or so due to tiredness/sickness etc and it's taken me a couple of days to catch up on posts!

So sorry to hear of your news shanks take care of yourself x

A bit late in the day but sorry to hear of what you've been through too ThePFJ can't imagine how you're feeling - stay strong x

Congrats to those of you who have had good scan results :)

Booking in done last week, had to have repeat bloods yesterday because they weren't labelled correctly Hmm and have first scan a week tomorrow which I'm soooo nervous about :(

11+1 today (seems to have gone so slowly but crept up so fast IYSWIM)

AliOh · 22/10/2013 18:38

Oh and welcome to any new Maybies I've missed!

AliOh · 22/10/2013 18:41

Moomin just thought I'd share my experience, I've had 3 hamsters, one was lovely, the other two (one of them we have currently) were/are very vicious despite being handled a lot. They smell despite being cleaned at least once of not twice a week and if you're planning on keeping them in the same room where you sleep they WILL keep you all night!

moominleigh94 · 22/10/2013 18:48

Ali I've just read somewhere that pregnant women should not come into contact with rodents, pets or otherwise, because there's a very very small chance they carry some kind of disease... but they don't say how very very small the chance is Sad looks like it'll be fish Sad

Hello everyone!
Had midwife appt today and she has moved my EDD to 3/06.......does this mean I will be expelled!!! Grin
My notes are yellow and she has given them to me to fill in with OH before my next appt 12/11.
Still don't feel anymore pregnant, am just so anxious something is going to go wrong, plus we have so much to do with the house. Think I am just going to worry now for the next 4 weeks Sad

FrightFlea · 22/10/2013 18:58

So sorry about your very sad news Shanks

Welcome Sarah

I had my booking in today and scan too. MW thinks I'm a week further along than I guessed so 10+5 instead of 9+5. Baby was waving to us all and bouncing around. I'd be happy if I'm further along, that bit closer to the end of ms. The 12 week scan in the hospital will date me properly as their machines are better than my MW's antiquated one. No photos either.

Loved yours Impatiently great photos and thanks for sharing.

DD1 who is 3.8 was with me and loved seeing the baby on the tv.

thistle lots of sympathy for having kidney stones. I had them just after dd2 was born and I blame the pregnancy for them. The pain is unreal and a thousand times worse than labour. Hope they pass quickly for you.

BananaHammocks · 22/10/2013 19:27

Hi Sarah I also got married at the end of June and am 10+4 today!

I had my booking in appointment on Friday! It was a home visit which was good because it made me give the house a thorough clean! I've got to get the higher dose of folic acid because of my weight but she said as everything was straight forward I can give birth in a pool in the midwife led unit if I want! Yay!

How long after your booking in appointments did you find out your scan date? I want to know when it will be!!!

Hezbean · 22/10/2013 19:54

Shanks - so sorry for your news, that's just awful. I hope you are doing OK. big hugs....

Thistle - OUCH! Hope you are ok, that sounds very painful.

Impatiently - amazing photos, so clear! Great news about all the scans in the last couple of days too, and that a few people are beginning to see the light at the end of the MS tunnel!

I'm feeling OK, a bit nauseous if I'm hungry, but not too bad. I'm feeling really stressed and tired and grumpy and fed up today. Anyone else feeling a bit blue? I'm sure it will pass but poor old DH is getting the brunt of my moods bless him. Doesn't help that I'm still sleeping really badly. I'm waking up several times for the loo which is really annoying, only a couple of hours after I go to bed, despite going about 3 times before I go to sleep!!!

SarahChez · 22/10/2013 19:55

Moomin I have a hamster and he's awesome. He's called Hagrid ^^
I have had nasty ones before though... and I kept dropping a baby one we got because he was too wriggly Blush

dobedobedo · 22/10/2013 19:55

Welcome Sarah!

Banana, I had to call the ultrasound dept to make my own scan appointment for when I was 12 weeks. One week to go! (incidentally the midwife now reckons I'll be 14 weeks by then, I guess we'll see!)

I'm in bed now. I just can't stay awake any longer! Today has been a crap day, sickness wise. I just want it to stop already. Shouldn't it have stopped by now? Ugh sorry for whinging.
Have a good night everyone! Brew

moominleigh94 · 22/10/2013 20:23

Welcome Sarah :) Hagrid is a great name. I'm worried about some kind of disease they say hamsters have that can be dangerous to pregnant women... is the risk high enough to not get a hamster? I'd be getting him from Pets At Home.

I have my nuchal scan tomorrow !! X

Magpie78 · 22/10/2013 20:42

Hi moomin found this seems it should be fine.
What will you call them?
www.cdc.gov/healthypets/lcmv_rodents.htm

moominleigh94 · 22/10/2013 20:46

Thanks magpie :) will follow that advice. They will be in bedroom for most of the day, but then I am out for most of the day. At night once we've finished playing, they'll probably go in the bathroom. Seen that quite a few people do that - stops the noise being too bad in the bedroom etc.

Not sure yet :) they're going to be dwarf hamsters hopefully :)

bushprincess · 22/10/2013 21:06

Welcome Sarah!
Great scan news Nanny, flea and anyone else I've missed!!

Thistle, ouch ! Hope they can break them down so you don't have too much pain passing them. How awful for you.

Moomin, master should be fine, just wash your hands after handling him!

Scan tomorrow. Hope i get some decent sleep tonight.... it's been so ridiculously hot... not helping me stay awake in the day or sleep at night!

Night all!

Cupcake1985 · 22/10/2013 21:19

moomin I have a long haired syrian hamster called Tarquin whose very docile. Russian ones are small and fast so no chilling on the settee like we can do! To be honest he is over 1 and won't be replaced when he goes. Love him to bits but we get him out every other night as he looks bored (in his massive multi climbing frame cage!) and it's a bit of a tie especially when you have a baby I think. The last thing i'll want to do with limited sleep is give attention to my pet for an hour. But I will because I can't ignore him it's cruel. Personally I wouldn't buy one at this time I'd just give all my attention to the baby.

Magpie78 · 22/10/2013 21:35

Moomin how about Itsy and Bitsy! Lol

LittleBairn · 22/10/2013 22:15

Moomin I had a Russin Dwarf Hamster she was the sweetness little thing, lived years beyond what they are supposed too and was a great character. She was also a master escape artist and bloody faster than a greyhound!
I've found that unless a hamster is handled regularly everyday they can become frightened of being handled and therefore aggressive.
They take a lot more effort to care for than most people realise but they can at least be left for a few days if your away unlike a dog or cat.

Hazebean I was getting a bit blue at one point due to lack of sleep. For me it's usually hormone related that causes sleeping problems, once the placenta kicks Around 12 week I feel much better. The last few days I've been managing 7 hour stretches compared to only 2-3 hours.
