If I'm doing it right, I've always been able to do it during sex without realising they were pfe Blush, I just can't seem to do it now. And I'm not really in the mood for it lately... plus OH has watched Knocked Up too many times and thinks he's going to poke the baby in the eye Hmm

Great scan news today!

Ive gone of sugar - chocolate particularly.

And I'm craving salads like crazy.

moominleigh94 · 21/10/2013 22:13

OH's friend - a midwife - looked at the scan and said she reckons it's a girl this evening Grin Bounty and the Chinese Gender predictor may just be right after all Grin

Had my scan this afternoon. It was amazing. So clear compared to the others I've had.
We took MIL with us, so she got to see the baby bouncing around all over the place it didn't seem to stop the whole time we were there.

Had my nuchel fold test done today so she wanted the baby to move off the bottom, which it wasn't up for doing. So she asked me to slam my bum down on the bed. Did it and the poor thing went flying. It was so cute and crazy to think that when I'm going about my ordinary life it'll just be in there moving about.

I think I caught a glimpse of the nub, even though you can't see it on the pics that i have, and I'm convinced it's a boy now. The scan was so clear I could even see the profile of it's face and I swear it looked like my dad. Also I have a gigantic baby inside of me. By dates I should be 12+2, if I go by what they told me at 8 weeks scan then I should be 12+3, and today they measured me at 12+5!! Know I can't be that far along, so I think I just have a long baby. DH is 6ft 5, so guessing baby is going to be tall. Another reason why I think it's a boy.

Put 3 photos from the scan on my mumsnet pics.

Glad all the other scanee's that we've heard back from had good days.

Good luck to all of you having them tomorrow.

loopylou52 · 21/10/2013 23:30

Wow impatiently, that sounds amazing!

Tried my new doppler tonight but couldn't find anything. Hmm Determined not to panic though, as I known it's still pretty early and I didn't really know what I was doing.

snoozysleeper · 22/10/2013 00:47

Ah congrats impatiently so pleased for you!!

Was there someone else yesterday meant to be having a scan that we've not heard from? I don't think we've heard from nanny have we? I hope all is well

snoozysleeper · 22/10/2013 01:06

Just checked back on last thread and nanny had said she would let us know after 11:40 yesterday Confused I really hope she's just been too busy to get back to us all !

thistlelicker · 22/10/2013 04:54

Omg!!!! I can't move!!! Need to see if doc will do home visit !!!

hamncheese · 22/10/2013 05:35

Hooray dobe I have now had two days in a row of feeling good... And this morning I came downstairs (yes at 5am bah) and ate toast and a yoghurt and realised I didn't gag at the smell of downstairs or the fridge or anything for the first time. Please please please let me be on the up!

I have an exciting day today. Booking in with my independent midwife. In the comfort of my home! And then the second scan this Avro. Going to take DS to see the new baba, and hope they don't refuse him entry. Dad is coming too though in case they have a problem. Will be so sweet to see them both IYSWIM!

Any other scots out there? I'm in north Lanarkshire :)

Hope you all have happy nonsick days. Bring on the bloom that moomins blog so rightfully argues not to exist. I think of it more as feeling not quite so like a dead person rather than a bloom!

thistlelicker · 22/10/2013 05:55

I'm a scot in England

Squiffie · 22/10/2013 06:04

Could seriously kill dh right now Angry I've hardly slept a wink through sickness, him snoring and general discomfort. He's got to be up and out early so he's set the most shrill sounding alarm (cos he sleeps through the normal one) that woke me as I was just nodding off, scared the fucking life out of me. Then he put it on fucking SNOOZE, so it did it again, I'll snooze his bloody ass, aaaargh!

Squiffie · 22/10/2013 06:05

^^sorry just needed to rant. Going to TRY and get an hours kip now.

Xavielli · 22/10/2013 06:48

Are you ok Thistle?

Squiffie - that's nuts in a vice territory right there. Almost akin to spraying deodorant in the bedroom.... I go mental.

Squiffie · 22/10/2013 07:10

More sleep didn't happen so now extremely tired and grumpy!

Good news on the scan impatiently Smile

Hope you're ok thistle x

I'm from Yorkshire but I think I'd already given that one away! Grin

thistlelicker · 22/10/2013 07:15

I went to a n e an hour ago because of the pain, wasn't even triaged - have walked out will try and get to gp!

dobedobedo · 22/10/2013 07:25

Where's the pain thistle? Hope everything is okay X

dobedobedo · 22/10/2013 07:27

Morning! This morning I ate a whole bowl of cheerios without retching Grin

Let's see how the rest of the morning goes

thistlelicker · 22/10/2013 07:27

Right across lower back SadSadSadSad

Spirael · 22/10/2013 08:07

thistle, do you have a minor injuries unit near you? If so, try that instead of A&E. Usually much less crowded and a lot quicker, but they normally have all the diagnostic equipment, medical expertise and pharmaceuticals still.

Also, you could try calling 111 (if it's active in your area) for the non-emergency NHS helpline. Though I expect they'll just tell you to report to a MIU or the GP.

WFH again today, thank goodness. I seem to have developed travel sickness on top of my MS, or at least travelling makes my MS infinitely worse. I nearly threw up on the bus home yesterday, not nice!

I then fell asleep on the sofa at 7:30pm as soon as DD was put to bed and just migrated upstairs to bed when DH prodded me at around 9:30pm. Slept all night and I'm still tired this morning. Not faaair... I literally can't squeeze any more sleep into my day!

Squiffie, whereabouts in Yorkshire are you, if you don't mind me asking? :) I'm in West Yorkshire, near Leeds.

moobaloo · 22/10/2013 08:09

Oh no thistle! Hope all is ok xx

I have my booking in soon - eek!

Magpie78 · 22/10/2013 08:12

Thistle have you got an EPU at your local hospital, call them if so. May well just be ligaments stretching especially if you ever suffer with back pain but they will check everything for you. Or call the maternity unit at the hospital. Hope you feel better.

dobedobedo · 22/10/2013 08:21

Thistle it could be a kidney infection. The last time I was pregnant I had the most excruciating lower back pain and that's what it was. Pregnant women are prone to them.
Let us know what the doc says xx

rebeccax2 · 22/10/2013 08:34

impatiently I waited to hear from you all day! Amazing news. The photos are absolutely adorable. :-)

thistle it could be anyone of a number of things, so you need to speak to a doctor.

Spirael I'm exactly the same. I can't get enough sleep, like ever. It seems to be getting slightly better now so fingers crossed we're coming out of the worst of it! I hate the tiredness more than the MS.

thistlelicker · 22/10/2013 08:42

I rang 111 they said attend a n e as it's the closest unit! I waited over an hour and was t even triaged !! 111 said it sounds like a bad uti and needs antibiotics, I have gp this afternoons ! Can't have paracetamol until around 0930 so tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle

bushprincess · 22/10/2013 08:49

love the blogs cbeebies, hamncheese and moomin will be keeping abreast of your stories!

Great news on yesterdays scan impatiently what amazing pictures - look at those little fingers!!

Good luck with todays scan flixy and roses.... I feel your fear roses but I'm sure everything will be ok and really looking forward to hearing good news later.

Hope we hear back from nanny soon

I'm feeling more positive today, slept appallingly so have re-convinced myself that it must be the influence of little prune/lime... so fx for tomorrows scan.

littlebairn I hope you manage to get an earlier scan appointment, 14 weeks seems crazily long to wait if you're meant to be on high risk monitoring. sorry you're having to deal with that.

hope everyone has a good and preferably nausea-free day!
