What a lot of sad news. Wishing sticky beans when you lovely ladies and recovered body and mind.

I'm in on the pact. I think it is almost unnecessary here though, so far everyone respectful and supportive and would expect nothing less when we get further on.

Scan on Monday. I'm beyond excited! watching some comedy - and drinking some decaf tea to dunk some choc hobnobs in - to take my mind of it! My crazy party lifestyle. Can you keep up?

NannyPlumForPM · 11/10/2013 23:44

Dh and i clipped out one of our hounds yesterday as summer is definitely here and she's such a hairy monster (GOD x caucasian shepherd) that she can't cope with the heat. She seems so embarrassed though, as if she knows she's naked! Silly beast!

thistlelicker · 12/10/2013 06:39

I wake up feeling very dehydrated and a rotten taste in my mouth !!! I've
Even brushed my teeth and I gag!!! Boobs are back to giving me
Grief :-(

bush I have a lemon drizzle cake in the kitchen (homemade from mummy :)) tempted to have a piece for breakfast now Hmm

hamncheese · 12/10/2013 07:39

cyber that is so stressful. Really glad that your LO seems well though, little miracle :)

sam unmumsnetty hugs on your loss

vikks congrats on your cute bean scan!

My scan pic is in profile ... But upside down for some reason hahaha, check it out. All was well, 11 weeks as I told them so have to have another scan in a week and a half which I'm kind of happy about... Value for money heh!

As for breastfeeding we did for 7 months it was the most amazing thing. I think if you are unsure the best you can do is aim to give it a shot. There are often issues especially surrounding tongue ties etc so if it doesn't work get LO checked for that. For us DS just took to it and it was so easy and so little faff. Only things that you should know are it hurts for a week or two in a small way which is normal then should ease if all is well and become second nature. The only thing I would change is I would give a bottle of expressed milk to get LO used to a bottle once bfing established to give some more freedom, my DS refused bottles argh :)

Hope you all have a fab day, I'm not feeling too sick today hooray. Actually going to Edinburgh to meet up with a bunch of mums from my due in August thread last time around!

McRedHead · 12/10/2013 08:17

snoozy It's alright, I think I ate your share to!

Bush You should see a part short film called boundin', about a sheep who'd been shorn.

Ham I agree with the bf. People should be able to have their second baby first, birth and bf so much effort second time round, IME. Although I'm sure confidence and a bit of support would make a huge difference.

Enjoy your weekend everyone. MS free vibes all round.

Enjoy the weekend

McRedHead · 12/10/2013 08:17

pixar not part

McRedHead · 12/10/2013 08:18

and so much LESS effort. must proof read!

Cupcake1985 · 12/10/2013 08:26

I've bought the santatogen with omega three this month. The omega three capsules are like round bullets! I have no problem with tablets but they are horrible to swallow! Feeling tired and rough and have to work today. Sad times.

Vikks · 12/10/2013 08:34

Envy Lemon drizzle cake...that is what I need this morning! (If anyone mentions any food I seem to want it straight away). Hot chocolate for me this morning, I use to be a really tea monster (Yorkshire lass) but can't face it anymore.

Count me in on the Pact. Last time around I really wanted to BF my son and after about 2/3 weeks of pain everything seemed to settle down and I really enjoyed our little BF cuddles. Fed him for a year and he weaned himself. Will try to do the same again.
My sister on the other hand couldn't do it for a number a reasons and her little son is just perfect, I know its not for everyone.

Have a lovely weekend Everyone x x x x

Vikks · 12/10/2013 08:36

Hamncheese Beautiful scan picture x

McBaby · 12/10/2013 08:37

I am still breast feeding my 14 month old. We had a very troublesome six months with severe tongue tie issues and she was an adamant bottle refuser from the start so I had little choice in the matter! I am glad I persevered as feeding her now I lovely as I only do it in the morning so we have a lovely cuddle and an extra 45 mins in bed. It is all about having the right support to do what you want to so and it's not easy. Which ever option you try. I am going to start traing as a breastfeeding supporter as the support around me is terrible.

The morning sickness on our end is in its way out :)

Sorry for all the sad news it seems like this has been an unlucky thread.

dobedobedo · 12/10/2013 08:41

Damn. Can't see pics on the app. Will fire up the laptop later and look hamncheese

I'm as weak as a kitten today. Dh is worried about how much I'm throwing up. Tonight we are taking MIL to an Indian restaurant for her birthday and I can't see me getting through the night without puking Sad
Midwife appt on Tuesday so I'll get checked over for dehydration and whatnot then. I'm constantly sipping water so I must be keeping some down! Just wish I could eat something.
Good news is, no work for a couple of days! Woop! This body pillow is gonna get some serious use this weekend.

thistlelicker · 12/10/2013 09:12

Can the morning sickness business happen later down the line

moominleigh94 · 12/10/2013 09:16

We're going swimming as a house today and I'm not sure I want to Sad I'm starting to show (another reason why everyone I've told thinks it's twins, personally I think it's cake even though I've not kept any down for weeks ) and I just feel icky and unattractive, and there's kids having swimming lessons so it'll be boisterous and noisy, and all my housemates will be in the jacuzzi or the rapids or on the slide and I'm fairly sure I can't use any of those can I? Sad

So I'll just try and find a quiet spot in the pool to tread water in, or sit at the side, while they all go and have fun. Don't mind me Hmm

I know it's my own fault and everything but why invite me? Sad

moominleigh94 · 12/10/2013 09:25

Reading that back I know I'm a whiny bitch Sad sorry everyone. The combination of all-day ms and still having doubts over whether I can actually do this is getting to me and making me a horrible person to be around :(

FacebookStoleMyLife · 12/10/2013 09:29

Moomin I feel for you there. Can you just beg off with morning sickness and have a pyjama day?
Jacuzzi's you just have to be careful about the temperature because raised body temperature can be bad for bean, they usually have a little sign saying how warm they are (I think 32 is the safe zone but don't quote me) but test it like you would a bath, if it feels hot don't do it, if it just feels like a warm bath temperature then go for it and sit and have a nice bubbly relax :) Slides they say pregnant women shouldn't do (but I'm not sure why), but I don't see why you couldn't do the rapids as long as people aren't knocking hard into you.

FacebookStoleMyLife · 12/10/2013 09:37

awww moomin no not at all. I'd be grumpy as hell if I was dragged out right now to something I didn't think I'd enjoy.

and YOU CAN DO THIS :) safe to say we've all gotten to know each other quite well over the last few weeks and I can say without the slightest doubt in my mind, even though I haven't met you in person, you will be a brilliant mum! You are strong and brave and asking all the right questions. I can't remember who said it earlier but all babies need is love, warmth and full tummies, the rest we all muddle through doing the best we can and the little bundles are none-the-wiser. Big hugs
