Have spent whole weekend coughing, being snotty and having a red raw sore throat...bored with the throat now as been sore for 10 days..... Boo. GP tomorrow I think.

We finished our nursery painting yesterday which is a result. Sitting here on sofa doing nothing constructive today even tho it is a totally beautiful day outside. got no energy whatsoever even tho sleeping for 11 hours or so.

Humpty - sounds like my SIL and BIL - they said happily whilst she was pregnant that you only have a difficult birth if quote "your insides are messed up because of bad diet". I have to admit I laughed out loud when I heard she had a C section! Some peoples advice should just be ignored............

yay for fry ups. My bacon sandwich was soooo tasty. Definitely perked me up to go back to kiddicare this morning and order nursery furniture and car seat. Very exciting. Although came home to a sad Dh. He had been trying to put some furniture together for me as a suprise only to find a few of the pieces scratched up. Luckily getting replacements delivered on Saturday. He had put my nursing chair together though and it is so comfy. Can see myself watching tv sat in it until the baby arrives!

Frizz they shouldn't make chocolate offers that difficult. I've had that problem before and it's so frustrating, so I feel your pain! Glad you got it sorted though and congratulations on the restraint.

I went to the supermarket for the weekly shop alone. I sat in the car before heading home and scoffed a whole 150g bag of root veg chips. That's 510 calories.

Anyway, moving on...sounds much success was had at nct sales, decorating, akng custard cookies well done! Might go back and look at that cookie recipe if you don't might mind...

Have a cold coming on - it's making me very very breathless, which I guess is just the normal pg breathlessness, plus having a stuffy nose? It's bad when sitting still, having to almost (not quite) pant sometimes! What can we take (have taken usual vits, Vit C top up & eaten plenty of fresh veg in the past few days).

Man i want KFC now! I haven't had any real pregnancy cravings i don't think but as soon as someone mentions something i seem to want it. I guess thats my craving, the requirement to eat anything that everyone else mentions.

So cupcakes are complete! (Put a pic of the rocky roads topped with homemade brownies on my profile) Made lemon meringue ones too but like a loony pregnant lady i couldn't figure out why my italian frosting wasn't working and it was because i wasn't using the right whisk! Felt like a complete douche! Thankfully dh went and got me more eggs so am really happy with them in the end and i got to use the blow torch.
Have got a million things to take to work tomorrow tho....3 boxes of cakes, 2 helium filled bday balloons and some confetti. And as i am always first person in i will be decorating the desk too!

We're doing OK thank, Humpty. DD has a cold and has been off nursery and testing my patience! She's a gem though so I can't complain. I'm feeling so much better myself since my doc prescribed Zyrtec for heartburn. I hadn't realized how many of my little niggles were related. Nausea, radiating chest pain, could never manage dinner... All gone after one tablet! If only I'd known I would have gone weeks ago. Oh well, at least now I have more energy to deal with work/the sick toddler/the husband who is getting sick from the toddler/my mother visiting for two weeks...

Sounds like everyone else is being very productive!

My sisters baby is stuck she's been pushing for 2 hours now. Waiting on doctor to try with the forceps. Anyone experienced this before? I don't think she's had an epidural either so maybe baby is just in an awkward position :/

Oh your poor sister - hope they are going to give her an epidural before the forceps. Lots of my NCT friends from last time had forceps. Think it depends on what they are being used for. Sometimes baby just needs a little turn I think to get them positioned better, rather than needing pulled out.

Oh, poor thing, sarah. I think they usually give an epidural/spinal for forceps.

She's still waiting for the doctor!! He has to be male! No woman in their right mind would leave a woman in labour waiting that long! Assholes! Thanks for the insight ladies. My births (pushing stage) were fairly quick so I've no idea about forcep deliveries .

She had a ventouse in the end, no pain relief just on the gas and air! 9lbs 7ozs!! I'm now a proud auntie :)

DH is getting very impatient for his new nephew to arrive (partly because he wants to go back to Devon but we can't afford to go twice this month so are just going after he's born). He text his brother today suggesting that next week would be a good week to have a baby! I hope he's more patient when it's our turn!

nature I've got some stretch marks on my boobs from puberty, I've found bio oil had made them look a lot better :)

Thanks mrsg think I'll try and get some this week. Took me by suprise as not had any till now but I guess my ample bosom has gone as far as it could cope with!
