apprenticemamma · 29/09/2013 21:22

afaik you are the first twinnie dragon. I'm sure there's a multiples thread somewhere on here too?

Jolleigh · 29/09/2013 21:24

THAT'S WHERE THE TWINS HAVE BEEN HIDING! Grin

Jolleigh · 29/09/2013 21:25

Welcome Dragon Brew

rescoonetwothree · 29/09/2013 21:25

ahem anyway hello little I've calmed down a bit now, congrats on the twins!! We have been waiting for our thread twins for what seems like forever! Has the pregnancy been noticeAbly any different to singletons so far?

GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

littlegreendragon13 · 29/09/2013 21:26

Ha ha, if I'd known you were looking for twins I'd have stuck my head in earlier! Grin I'll have a look for a multiples thread, thanks apprenticemamma!

Jolleigh · 29/09/2013 21:27

We have indeed been on the twin hunt for quite some time. Hoping you've had an easy time so far.

littlegreendragon13 · 29/09/2013 21:28

Yes a bit: I'm much bigger than I was last time, I'm only 15 weeks but look like I did at about 5 months last time. I had quite a lot more morning sickness this time which was hard work with DS to run around after but on the plus side I started feeling movement at 11+5 which was (and is!) lots of fun!

LyraSilvertongue · 29/09/2013 21:28

Lumpy, I was going to offer cake (why is there no cake emoticon on the phone app?) but I see you're off to bed. I'd also offer hugs but this ain't Netmums you know Wink (the health visitor at my first appointment had the cheek to suggest I might like to join Netmums - I was outraged).

I will look up recipes for your suggestions tomorrow. I've never made chutney of any variety before.

Welcome mum-to-be of twins whose name has escaped me (sorry, on phone). We've been after a twin pregnancy in this club for months and now here you are Smile

PainAuxRaisins · 29/09/2013 21:31

Oh wow the March Twins are here!!!!!!!!!! Congrats! Unfortunately little you won't find anyone else with twins on this thread.....we have been waiting for someone like you to come along! I think there are a couple of ladies on the April thread expecting twins though.

LyraSilvertongue · 29/09/2013 21:31

Weird that you don't get a 20-week anomaly scan. I thought that was standard.

BionicEar · 29/09/2013 21:31

Welcome to all our newcomers!

And a double welcome to littlegreendragon with her twins - our 1st for the Martians! Grin

Hope you are all doing ok.

I've had a better day nausea wise - hooray!

Went to a friend's children's dedication today, and got all gooey over another friend's little baby who I got to fed his bottle whilst she had to go and deal with her eldest who decided to throw up everywhere! Forgotten how floppy they are and cuddly. Was lovely. My two were very interested and not at all put out by me paying attention to the baby.

littlegreendragon13 · 29/09/2013 21:33

Sorry, I do get a 20 weeks scan (1st Nov, can't wait!!) but I'm really missing not having the 16 weeks midwife app this time round. Not sure if we'll get to see a midwife or a consultant at the 20 week scan as I didn't last time round. It just seems a really long time between a booking appointment and a 28 weeks appointment to speak to someone Confused

karamcleod · 29/09/2013 21:35

Welcome Dragon how exciting & scary! Were getting more Martians by the day :) does any feel like time is going really slow, feels like we've been waiting on our 20 week scan forever!

commsgirl · 29/09/2013 21:40

TWINS!! Welcome and congratulations little :)

karamcleod · 29/09/2013 21:42

Dragon I don't see my midwife til then either and I'm on baby number 1 I think care just differs quite a bit depending on where your located.
Lyra jams and chutneys are easy just bung in some tomato, onion, sugar, vinegar, a bit of chilli and whatever else is lying about your kitchen. So much more fun without recipes.

apprenticemamma · 29/09/2013 21:46

I think I can learn a lot cooking wise from you lot.

Kara/ anyone got suggestions for converting my last 100 plums on my tree.

Blatant procrastination from power point presentation Grin

Jolleigh · 29/09/2013 21:48

I'd go for a jam or chutney again with plums apprentice. Great with duck Grin or again with cheeses.

apprenticemamma · 29/09/2013 21:48

little that does seem ages esp with twins. I'm noticing the lack of input since last time too but it seems more about cuts round here. No mw till 24 weeks for me.

littlegreendragon13 · 29/09/2013 21:50

Thanks everyone! Smile I think I just want to know what weeks I will be seen as last time round I new that at the outset so you can prepare yourself for the waits in between. Plus this time round suddenly I'm told I'm high risk but feel like no one actually cares. Also I was told at the dating scan that all my appointments would be at the hospital which is a pain as I don't drive so the ability to plan would be handy! Smile

Jolleigh · 29/09/2013 21:50

100 plums = great source of home made Christmas gifts

apprenticemamma · 29/09/2013 21:50

thanks joll. I'm fucking sick of making plum crumble (plumble! ) and the nursery , colleagues, neighbours, friends and family are equally sick of plum offloading! I need to just kill the remaining ones in a mahoosive chutney. What with?

IceNoSlice · 29/09/2013 21:51

Yay TWINS!!! Welcome dragon!

I'm on my second pregnancy and had a 16 wk MW appointment - thought it was still standard. I also see a consultant this week (will be 19 weeks) as I'm higher risk due to ECMS last time. I'm very surprised that you have such a long wait. Must be your local NHS trust's policy or something.

I will have an 18mo and a baby come next March and am bricking it a bit! I'm guessing you'll have a 20mo (?) and twins, eh? A lady at my toddler group has the same as you and all three are boys. She has lots of help from her own mum, and copes very well. You'll be grand, I'm sure.

PainAux how scary! Hope the chap is ok - and that you have recovered from your moment in the spotlight, as it were. Not my cuppa tea - the presenting that is, obv no-one wants to see a man nearly die. What is your job that requires that?
