I decided to take a peek into the antenatal club threads, but there's no June thread yet, although for good reason.

I may be jinxing myself here, but after a couple very very faint positives on ICs for the last couple days I got a positive on an FRER this morning, so thought it would be safe to start one up.

Of course, still early days, but if it sticks my due date will be 3-5 June, depending on several websites.... What can I say, I tested early!

I hope someone comes to join me soon. There have to be some more recent BFPs....

I have always taken a vegan multi and calcium, the multi has folic acid (not enough) and vit D, but now I've started also taking extra folic acid, vit D and iron, not really taking any chances!

I used to order from Healthy Direct (they were fine) which apparently have now merged with Healthspan www.healthspan.co.uk/

littlepickly · 07/10/2013 13:58

Yes number 2 for me too IBelieveInEngels

I have the pregnacare folic acid and vitamins supplement but only bought it yesterday when I found out that I was definitely pg and I forgot to take it! I don't seem to be very organised this time around! :)

monkeybananas · 07/10/2013 14:29

Hi all! Congratulations on all your news! Can I join too please? I did a test on Friday and it turns out my edd is 2nd June. I have a 4yr old already, was out in Clomid after to TCC as I have pcos but that ended in mc. This is another Clomid assisted pregnancy but I'm hoping it will turn out better. Grin

Liquidambar · 07/10/2013 15:01

Hi ladies. A bit of an emotional rollacoster here because my bfp were all very very faint. But I'm feeling slightly more positive as I did a new cb digital which showed 2-3 weeks, so there is an improvement.

My due date is 15th of June.

IbelieveInEngels this will be my Dc2 too. My ds is 3 and a half. He was a preem baby so let's hope this little bean stays inside a little bit longer.

Booked my midwife appointment and 12 weeks scan. It makes it feel more real Smile

I also called my GP as I am travelling tomorrow for two weeks and I know I cannot take imodium (horrible IBS always running to the loo). She was very nice and prescribed something else. Feeling slightly anxious about all this travelling as I am a bit nauseous already and I'm only 4 +1. Has anyone tried the sea bands for nausea relief? I've just ordered it from amazon.

LondonSuperTrooper · 07/10/2013 15:35

This will be DC2 for me too. My Ds is 6 years old.

Welcome to the newbies...... I'm loving the growth of this thread!

I've no chance of getting the letter any time soon. My GP wants me to go back when I'm 7-8 weeks pregnant and only then will they send off for my midwife referral. Absolutely pants but there is nothing that I can do about that :(

pomdereplay · 07/10/2013 15:46

Wow, so much to catch up on!

Clever, thanks for the pep talk. Flowers. Taking it one day at a time and trying not to weep all over my beloved only DD!

Sick, glad to hear you're channelling the nerves into excitement. Am sure all the baby stuff will pop right back up in the front of your mind when you need it again!

Saw a wonderful doctor at my GP today. Talked about my history of RMC and my absolutely rubbish birth; have been referred back to consultant care so we shall see what that brings. Particularly concerned that I won't be able to do aspirin treatment because I am still breastfeeding. She was very sympathetic at how quickly this has come along -- very surprised knowing what she does of me and my daughter. As was I!

Symptom-wise I am STRUGGLING. I am very much a 'get on with things' kind of girl and am not the sort to stuff my face or mooch about because I have something the size of a poppy seed in me. Sadly just can't get away with it this time around. Wink That said, I am overwhelmed with wooziness and vertigo and in short, feel like shit. Anyone else going through the same? Particularly worried because I still babywear my 19 month old and am due to start a new job imminently....

cheesysmile · 07/10/2013 15:51

Welcome new ladies, there's going to be lots of gorgeous June babied! Smile

Supplements wise im just taking pregnacare as seems to have everything needed.

I'm only a first timer so will be relying on those with dc already to give me the low down as we get further along.

I'm so tired today but have more work to do before I can go home ... Boo!!!

LondonSuperTrooper · 07/10/2013 15:59

Am I the only one without any symptoms? I'm 5+1 today....

Liquidambar · 07/10/2013 16:08

London i get a bit nauseous and backache, but nothing very serious so far. In my first pregnancy I didn't have symptoms at all. it was a breeze still I was 27weeks.

LondonSuperTrooper · 07/10/2013 16:31

I had a horrid time in my first pregnancy right from the outset starting with extremely tender breasts ...... and morning sickness kicking in with a vengeance when I was 6+1 weeks pregnant.

I'm just worried that all is not well with this little beanie.

LondonSuperTrooper · 07/10/2013 16:32

Thanks Liquid

And in answer to question further up the thread, I'm taking Sainsburys preg supplements - a fraction of the price of pregnacare!

AuntPittypat · 07/10/2013 16:38

London, I'm still getting no symptoms either. If anything, I seem to be feeling better than usual (famous last words!). I think that's probably down to the combination of being so happy, no booze, no caffeine, more sleep than usual (am more tired in the evenings so going to bed earlier), making the effort to eat better, taking a good multi-vit (I'm on the Pregnacare ones too) and, most importantly, just good luck!

(Sorry to anyone struggling with sickness or other symptoms, I hope that doesn't sound smug! I'm actually a bit envious of you as it must make it feel more real.)

monkeybananas · 07/10/2013 16:46

London, that's great to know about the sainsbury supplements. I called the Dr today to let them know I'm preg (can never get an appointment!) he said I should be taking folic acid (no brainer) but I didn't know that they now recommend taking vit D supplements too.
How's everyone getting on with "symptoms"? I'm not having cravings but I know what I definitely don't want!

IBelieveInEngels · 07/10/2013 17:19

The only symptom I have is mild nausea. Last time I had no symptoms till 6w when the nausea really kicked in for 6 weeks. I couldn't stomach strong cooking smells or sauces. In the 2nd trimester I craved fresh fruit and milk.
Last time round I was moaning at no symptoms at 5w!

NessieMcFessie · 07/10/2013 17:26

Thanks for the vitamins replies - I am in Eastern Europe so not sure what is available.....will go out on an adventure to find out tomorrow!

Gingerandcocoa · 07/10/2013 17:31

I am so exhausted. Really struggled at work today, almost broke down into tears when DH called to ask how I was. Obviously I'm happy I'm feeling rubbish iyswim, but am curious to see if this will get a bit better!!

CleverOl10 · 07/10/2013 18:34

Wow busy message day. Such a crazy day at work so just sat down to catch up!

I'm on #2 - DS is 3 and a half. Only just felt brave enough for #2! He's fab and all but....lol.

I don't have many symptons either London - I'm exhausted all the time and my legs ache a lot. But I'm a teacher and none of that is majorly unusual! Last time I had awful morning sickness but can't remember when it started. Currently I'm feeling fine, nothing hurts and I'm just counting my blessings!

I'm 4.5 today. Totally forgot to call the docs to get my first appt - shows how busy my day was! Gotta do it tomorrow, so jealous of all with scan dates!

PS Caffeine free diet coke - what the......does not taste good!

NessieMcFessie · 07/10/2013 18:34

Oh dear Ginger - I hope you feel better soon.

GillyBillyWilly · 07/10/2013 18:59

Clearblue still says 2-3 weeks! Was really hoping it would say 3+ by now!

It has said 2-3 weeks for 8 days now.... Gah! Only got one left so might leave it til Friday and test again.

I want to see 3+ !!!!!!

wispaxmas · 07/10/2013 19:06

I had the exact same thing this morning gilly. Made me really nervous...

OP posts:
NessieMcFessie · 07/10/2013 19:11

It tells you how far along you are!? Wow - I have been out of the UK too long....

GillyBillyWilly · 07/10/2013 19:12

Wispa I think we are expecting too much too soon!
When mine said 2-3 a week ago it could've JUST been in the 2-3 range... So I guess it could be more than a week before it goes to 3+... Maybe more like 2 weeks?!

GillyBillyWilly · 07/10/2013 19:13

Hi Nessie it's a conception indicator so it's 2-3 weeks since conception meaning 4-5 weeks pregnant Smile
It measures the hcg...

To be fair I didn't even give myself a fair shot because I did it at about 6.30 after guzzling water all afternoon!

wispaxmas · 07/10/2013 19:17

But I'm 6 weeks tomorrow Sad

OP posts:
GillyBillyWilly · 07/10/2013 19:21

Don't worry wispa...I bet it will change eventually!!!!!! Thanks
I'm only 5+1 tomorrow so maybe I'm expecting too much Grin
