A new thread for you all to play with?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
CoffeeGuzzler · 20/09/2013 10:52

I am with you all on the weird temperature shifts. Getting chills in the daytime but can't stay under duvet at night. Also having having trouble staying asleep.

All sorts of cramps and twinges in the tummy. I have never paid so much attention to my body!!

Had a very vivid dream the other night about an ex!! Wth?!

boogies there are quite a few people on this thread with minimal symptom. It's hard but try not to worry. Also, google is not a friend!! I am used three espressos a day. Went decaf the day after I found out. Strangely enough, not really missing it.

FacebookStoleMyLife · 20/09/2013 11:43

I've been having horrible vivid dreams, lots of pregnancy anxiety coming out, oh and quite a bit of saving the world from zombies which is actually quite fun in vivid dream mode.

I'm a bit worried because I haven't been given a booking in appointment, just a 12 week scan date. Does absolutely everyone get a booking in appointment or do they not bother in some places?

Halfbaked · 20/09/2013 11:51

facebook I would have thought you'd get a booking appt as that's where they take loads of information, test your wee and blood.
The 12 week scan is done by a sonographer, so you don't see a midwife then. Maybe check with your surgery, they happen at 8weeks here but I think anytime between 6-11 seems normal!!

CoffeeGuzzler · 20/09/2013 12:09

facebook I agree with halfbaked. Check with you gp. Booking in appointments are pretty important as you get to meet your midwife and a lot of info on your health is recorded.

lolablu · 20/09/2013 12:33

this is serious.. my dh is cooking cake and its making me feel sick :( on better news Im 6 weeks today :)

moominleigh94 · 20/09/2013 12:57

Just eaten rice, ketchup and cheese. Looked absolutely disgusting, but I couldn't get enough of it. I don't feel too well now... and a 2 hour car journey this afternoon Sad

wm3010 · 20/09/2013 13:23

Oh no lolablu, you can't go off cake! I thought I was going off sweet things for the last week there but have scoffed three big white choc cookies today so that's a relief Wink

Moomin, hope your car journey is ok, those have been a bit yuck for me recently but I just have nausea rather than sickness so it isn't so bad.

moominleigh94 · 20/09/2013 13:42

I never used to be carsick, lately it doesn't matter if I've eaten or not, I'll be sick even if it's a short journey Sad still, not had full-on morning sickness since Wednesday (I now know not to bother with milk or anything chocolatey first thing; toast is the way forwards!).

I'm mad for anything savoury; OH has bought loads of cake and chocolate and all I want is crisps and rice Grin

wm3010 · 20/09/2013 13:56

Crisps are really good for some reason, must be all the salt. I keep worrying about fruit and veg but the fact that other people are in the same boat is reassuring!

shanks313 · 20/09/2013 14:17

Hi everyone

5+3 here

Been feeling queasy this morning, getting a little crampy but I think its because bladder is feeling so full.
I have got high dose of folic acid from GP and also been taking Vit D.
Seem to be off sweet food.
I hate all the waiting till 8 week for booking in then for the scan. I want to know everything is okay in there.Even thinking about a private dating scan at 8 weeks

ACatCalledBrian · 20/09/2013 14:39

I've gone off cake as well! Crisps were great earlier in the week but now they're making me ill as well. And totally about the travel sickness, I've never felt ill on a train before (apart from one time I had a hangover, which doesn't count), and this week I've not felt anything but sick on them...

MasterFlea · 20/09/2013 15:42

Halfbaked that's terrible that your PGP got so bad. Unfortunately i felt it again today. I wish it was my imagination. I got it so mildly with DD1 I never knew what it officially was. Then with DD2 it started at week 10 and while I didn't need a wheelchair I was in a lot of pain could do very little.

So now week 5 and it is rearing its ugly head. I'm starting yoga to try and strengthen my body. And pelvic floor exercises too. It makes me dread this pregnancy. I really want a baby but not PGP.

In Finland they dont recognise PGP and it is a put up and shut up job. Sad

NannyPlumForPM · 20/09/2013 16:18

facebook in some places the midwife centre is the same as the scan centre place (oh how I miss grammar now I'm pg Grin) so it's feasible that you are having the booking in appt and scan at the same time if they're short on appointments!

I would still probably get it checked though just in case.

I am really suffering with smells... I can't walk past tesco without heaving - and god forbid a takeaway etc. I put it down to being pg on an all inclusive holiday - the food was just so offputting by the end

Got my booking in appt today Smile 17th Oct though so I'm going to be approx 10+5 I think... Can't remember when my LMP was - I know - so I need the dating scan! Hope it's more than I think

shanks ive gone the private scan route at 8 weeks, 12 is too long to wait. Especially as ive had two healthy daughters im paranoid that something could go wrong. Ive booked with a company called babybond think it was only £99.

thistlelicker · 20/09/2013 16:43

My friend recommended baby bond to me

bushprincess · 20/09/2013 16:52

Happy Friday girls, so so sad for thunder, fingers crossed for sickness the next time.
Welcome boogies, I'm another one with hardly any symptoms, even the boobs aren't sore now..... only 6 + 2 though so early days...

Gorgeous and sunny here, just back from a swim in the sea, feels like it's still summer! Hope everyone has a lovely evening and weekend XX

bushprincess · 20/09/2013 16:59

That's meant to be stickiness ... really should check my posts first!!

moominleigh94 · 20/09/2013 17:16

Still got a little bit of pain... slightly worried it could be ectopic Sad

mumof2aimingfor4 · 20/09/2013 17:18

thistle definitely use babybond if your going to pay for it. I used them with both DD's for the 4D scan.

thistlelicker · 20/09/2013 17:49

If it was eptopic you would be in agony! If concerned ring u Epu x

moominleigh94 · 20/09/2013 18:14

It's on both sides too, so I think I'm just worrying over normal pains :) they're not even crampy, mc/ectopic is crampy right?

An hour away from the nearest hospital this weekend so that's even less of an option. I'll just man up and hope for the best Grin

Allypallyjelly · 20/09/2013 18:23

Hi ladies
I think I'm out. Been spotting quite a bit so went to Harley street today. I meant to be 8wks+4days but scan only showed:
Gestational sac mean diameter : 17mm
Yolk sac mean diameter: 8mm
Fetal CRL: 3.4mm
Heart rate: 52bpm
Sonographer says most likely will miscarry within next week. Cried my eyes out just now I guess I just need to move on.

thistlelicker · 20/09/2013 18:35

So sorry jelly x

moominleigh94 · 20/09/2013 18:51

Sorry jelly x

loopylou52 · 20/09/2013 18:59

Oh my God Allypally I'm so sorry! Take care of yourself Thanks
