Doh! Better late than never frizz on the pelvics! Cant believe I just forget!!!

extra I invested in some breast pads today just in case....Blush

Angelesque · 29/09/2013 10:48

extra I've actually got really excited that I'm already just starting to produce colostrum Blush - overexcited and weirded out FTM here, ha ha!

Sultanajo · 29/09/2013 11:42

Lol angel! Grin

Am being a wuss and not going swimming by myself as DH is working and I am feeling too self conscious! People stare!!! I remember my mate saying people stared at her and I remember thinking "why does that bother you?" However, hormones are causing me to very much care! I feel as though I am walking around naked when I am in a swimming costume! Blush Cant shake the feeling, so am wussing out. So annoyed with myself as I really wanna go!

However, I have finally got around to emptying the drawers in the nursery so bubs how has a set of drawers. I also cleared out all my skinny clothes to put into vacuum packs and that will then give me something to aim for once bubs is out. Being able to vacuum pack my "fat clothes and retrieve my skinny clothes will be cool! Grin

Also have put some of scan pics into a photo frame we have had on the wall for ages with no pics! Grin

So it has been quite a productive weekend!

Hope everyone is having a good one!

Oh and......pelvic floors! Grin

Spacefrog35 · 29/09/2013 12:20

sultana just done exactly the same thing. Hubby laughed at me as I got a bit teary waving goodbye to my not so skinny summer clothes as I was worried I wouldn't see them again until 2015 Blush

Sultanajo · 29/09/2013 12:36

space reality hits doesnt it! At the moment I am trying to see it as something to motivate me post preggers! Bring it on! Mind u, if I am feeling too self conscious now while preggers, I can only imagine how I will feel with a jelly belly after bubs pops out....arghhh! It will all be worth it! Aw, little bubs! Grin

MrsGSR · 29/09/2013 13:25

I've just put all my 'skinny clothes' in a suitcase and DH has packed it away. A little depressing but I now have loads of space in my wardrobe for new maternity clothes :)

Having a lazy weekend just enjoying DH being home :) he loved his meal Friday, although halfway through the starter he froze and checked that it wasn't our anniversary!

TarkaTheOtter · 29/09/2013 14:14

I'm being very rude and just leaving a quick message so this is back on my "I am on" threads. Haven't had a chance to catch up properly but I'm also suffering from insomnia (just as the toddler starts sleeping better too).

Had my fetal cardiac and growth scan (because of diabetes) and everything fine so feeling a lot happier.

Right off to clean all the raisins out of my car whilst toddler naps - will try to get up to date on how you are all doing later!

Sultanajo · 29/09/2013 14:22

mrsg How funny your DH suddenly wondering if its your anniversary! Hilarious! Grin Glad the dinner went well and you are having a good weekend together.

tarka great all your markers are good! What a relief!

Toothfairy78 · 29/09/2013 16:02

Sounds like you've all been really productive this weekend, be it tidying away, treating spouses, making extra PREGNAJUICE etc!

Yesterday I was going to do some DIY but DH wanted to walk into town which is a good few miles round trip. I fell asleep when I got home!

Today I finished sanding the hallway floor and applied teak oil. Back is sore, so having a lie down.

DH put our ski gear in the loft. Reckon it's going to be a few years before we get to use it again. Sniff.

But today's bonus is that I discovered my Nike DriFit bottoms work really well as boot leg under the bump leggings! Yay! They're almost as good as my TU yoga bottoms. Grin

Spacefrog35 · 29/09/2013 16:14

Yay for leggings and good test results.

How funny so many of us have put our skinny clothes away this weekend.

Just having a little sit down after braving Sainsburys. They had some sleep suits and vests at half price & one really cute little set with a hat with ears! Sorry can't remember who it was that started team ears but I'm in Grin. Sorry, slightly overexcited. First clothes I've bought for pootle Blush.

Nursery decorated! Yippee. Just skirting boards, radiator to be painted next weekend and carpet to be bought... prior to all the baby stuff shopping....(cot etc)....

Pelvic pain incidentally better after decorating (how does that work)?

Anyway, the advice I had from my sister (midwife) was if no bleeding and baby movement still the same as normal then pelvic joint is just misaligned....

Suggestions are to sleep with pillow between knees, can sleep on back until later on (who told me I couldn't?) and if in pain to take paracetemol and don't even think about it (no harm whatsoever to baby) as more important to be able to sleep than not. Also, don't sit or stand in one position for anyone time. Just thought I would share in case anyone else suffering out there.

Pelvic floors.....! Don't cough without squeezing when you need the loo!!!

Percypiglet · 29/09/2013 18:01

should have read "probably misaligned".... also, get referral to physio if necessary.

Frizz1986 · 29/09/2013 18:54

We have bought a cotbed!!
I have also removed most of the wallpaper border from the nursery, just need dh to move the wardrobe and drawers so i can take the last of it off.
We got some paint tester pots too so can choose pur colour.

Next on the list is wash down the walls, fill any holes etc, paint the ceiling and then we can paint the walls. Really want to get it all washed and filled in as dh will have to help with the ceiling as i dont want to be up the ladder doing the edges and then i can just paint the walls.

Very excited as it will be so nice once the nursery is ready and i dont want to leave it too late so i am too exhausted and huge to be able to help.

DH found his wedding ring! It was in the bottom of his bag. No idea how it got there but I'm so pleased!

I'm also very impressed and jealous at all the nursery decorating. Baby will only be moving into her own room about 6 months to a year before DH is up for reposting so we're not doing much decorating, probably just some wall stickers.

BuntCadger · 29/09/2013 20:14

Sounds like everyone has had a good weekend. Mine has been good but think I over did it as feeling sick now. Oh well tucked up in bed so will hopefully be ok in the morning.

sarahleanne · 29/09/2013 23:05

hi bunt welcome back haha

oooh I need to sort through skinny clothes. I remember having clothes after dd that I coupd never get back into depressing

ive just had to get my engagement ring wedding ring and eternity ring off with shit loads of soap and cold water, they were all totally wedged! Its going to feel weird not wearing them.

Ps squeeeeze

AnotherStitchInTime · 29/09/2013 23:48

Well done to all the DIYer's, I am impressed!

We have stickers in the kids room for that very reason sultana. Luckily though dd1 chose pale blue with dinosaurs when she was 2 after we moved here, so it will be ok for ds too when he arrives.

Oh no Sarah, put them somewhere safe. My wedding ring doesn't fit on my ring finger as we got married 5 weeks after my CS with dd1 and my hands were still swollen when I chose the ring. I am hoping it will fit the right finger again as I get fatter with this pregnancy.

I have been practising my pelvic floor exercises as instructed and despite sneezing loads due to my cold my knickers have remained dry, so it must be doing some good.

Hope you all have a good start to the week, sleep well
